I've been here multiple times, and every single time they give me a different price. The only reason I kept coming back is because this place is literally about two minutes from my house. I have an extremely busy schedule, and most of the time I simply didn't have time to drive somewhere farther away for an oil change. The convenience was the ONLY reason I continued giving them chances. I especially feel that if they see you're a woman and don't know much about cars, they try to add extra services and charges that you never asked for. My most recent experience was the worst. I repeatedly told them, "ONLY an oil change. I don't need anything else." The person at the counter had me sign the estimate before I had a chance to properly read it. Then, without explaining anything, he said he had to take care of something and walked away. After waiting 5-10 minutes, I looked carefully at the estimate I had signed and noticed they had added another $87.20 charge. I immediately asked what they were doing to my car because I had clearly said I did NOT authorize any additional services. My husband then called and questioned the price because their wall clearly showed $119.99 for the oil change, yet they were trying to charge us more. Their explanation was that their prices had changed since July 1st and they had "forgotten" to tell us. If your prices changed, then UPDATE THE PRICE DISPLAYED ON YOUR WALL. Customers should not be expected to pay a different price from what is advertised. After my husband questioned them, they suddenly offered to "give me a discount" and charged me $124.90. Long story short: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I do not trust their pricing or their business practices anymore. At this point, I'm not even confident about the quality of the oil changes they perform. I've also noticed that my oil seems to run low unusually quickly afterward. Be very careful, read EVERYTHING before signing, and do not let them perform or charge you for anything you did not specifically authorize. read more

Tried to upsell me for cabin filter replacement that I did not need, dirty filter shown was NOT from my vehicle. They did a initial inspection, showed me dirty cabin filter (white) and asked if I wanted them to replace it. I declined and after the (very quick) oil change, went home to change the cabin filter myself. Cabin filter was clean and was a different color (pink) than the dirty cabin filter they showed me. Also, my glove compartment door latch was sticking so was very difficult to get into the glove compartment to access cabin filter, and they claimed they checked it? NOT A CHANCE. So, how much trust can I have that anything was done properly if they're going to lie about a small issue? Not going back, which is a shame because it's right around the corner from house. read more

Recently (November) at the Jiffy Lube on Camden in San Jose I had an oil change and new tires put on my second car. At 2000 miles my check oil light went on. I returned to Jiffy Lube to get it "topped off" but was told it needed to be within 3 months of the service and was told I should have come in sooner?. There was no evidence of leakage or excessive oil burn. The car has 30,000 miles my only conclusion is it was not filled to capacity during the original service. Would not bend the 3 months policy. I would recommend this Jiffy Lube location and will not return. read more

Came in for an oil change and tire rotation. Tech advised me that "one of the wheel studs were seized" and if he removed it would snap off. I told him that this was the only place that touches my tires. He replied "they wear out." They only ended up doing one side but upon inspection when I got home, I found that two were seized. Lugnuts were pretty badly cross-threaded. 2 of them ended up snapping! Been here 20-25+ times with 3 different cars and this marks the third time that all three cars have had some kind of issues with lugs overtightened, under tightened, or cross-threaded. To be fair, their oil changes are pretty straightforward (albeit pricey), but if they're going to offer tire service, they need to train their staff better. read more

Don't go to Camden loc. or deal with Joel. Camden location left my oil filter cap off. The Almaden location showed me it was missing. I called the manager at Camden, Joel, to see about getting it replaced. He berated me and said it was probably already missing . Well, no. The give you a long list of missing equip or problems they find. This was not on it. He raised his voice, then transferred me to Almaden, and after explaining, the manager there, Esteban (Steve), immediately ordered the part for me and called me when it came in, and installed it no charge. I am grateful for that. However, when I accidentally drove to Camden on that day, forgetting which location had the part, Joel, who I had the misfortune of speaking with again before I realized I was at the wrong one, was again very rude and short with me. He kept saying, "What's you next question?" I just said, "I don't have any questions, but thank you for your attitude." and left, and as I did, one of the employees mouthed "Sorry." to me. We usually only come when the manager is in because he's amazing at his job and keeps the energy flowing right with his crew. However, I paid $150 for an oil change while Manager Joel wasn't there and thought, 'How bad could it be?' Well, my engine nearly blew. I'm completely out of oil, and it looks like they stripped my oil plug, causing the cap (or something) not to stay on properly. I should've listened to my gut--something felt off during the oil change, and I had a bad feeling when I left. Luckily, most of the oil leaked out while I was parking instead of while I was driving. read more

I have taken my car here four times for oil service. The first few visits were kinda sketch and I began to get a bad taste in my mouth but not enough to abort business all together. Let me explain why... Supposedly (I thought I read this with the paperwork too) window washing and vacuuming are included in the oil change package. On my first two visits I did not feel that was done. I was in a hurry and not in the mood to complain so I just plugged it in my memory bank. After all, I did get the oil changed (what I came for) and anytjibg extra is a bonus. I arrived last month and complained to my technician about my concerns. I let him know I didn't feel the shop was honoring their end of the deal and that I expect the full service this go-round. I wish I remembered the gentleman's name. He assured me all points of service would be covered and also gave me a little discount for my past experiences. That's great customer service! He also let me know that every pool change comes with a complimentary top-off service between oil changes. That info was good to know since my car is older and leaks oil. I will continue to monitor the service I get from this jiffy lube and amend my star rating as I anticipate the level of service will improve. read more

Joe the mgr. always helps me out and sometimes works on my car since I have an issue with the oil plug many times. Last time I was here I got to meet Salvador Juarez who was very polite and helpful since he knew I was on my lunch break. He kept me informed with time on getting the oil change done and was so nice. Took my daughter car in for coolant change, oil change, low tire light. They gave me a quote to do everything and I agreed. 5 min later they told me the can't do the coolant due to they didn't have the coolant. Then I paid for oil change and got in the car to drive away and nothing was vacuumed or windshield was not cleaned. Tire light was still on ? I then asked them about the tires and was told I needed a new tire sensor . Drove home and checked the tires myself and all the tires were at 27lbs so I aired the to 33lbs and tire light went out. I just had a great experience here. It's been a long few days with unrelated issues and I had to take my car in for an oil change to boot. I'm on a rather tight budget, and a couple unexpected expenses had come up. For this reason I was looking for the best value and was hesitant to have my filters changed on top of the oil. That being said, the mechanic was very helpful and offered a fair price. The manger was also very helpful and kind as they both sensed I was having a bad day. Didn't try to upsell anything as I was just looking for a quick oil change only. Last month I went to this location for an oil change. I got the oil change, then the next day I noticed my car was leaking oil. I took it back and after a few minutes they told me it was just residue. I explained that I didn't think it was just residue. I even showed the guy a picture and he brushed it off and reassured me that it was okay. I drove home. My car sat for 2 days and when I went outside to check and see if it was still leaking I noticed it was. It was leaking ALOT. I checked the oil level and it was almost nonexistent. I called the shop and asked to speak to a manager hoping that I could have someone come to my house and at least bring me some oil so I could make it to the shop. The manager was very nice and sent someone to my house same day! 2 guys came to my house, preformed the oil change, drove my car back to get checked by the manager, then drove it back all as no charge! So nice! Again, oil all over the ground in a day. I took my car elsewhere. A second opinion from a dealership told me that the treading on my oil pan was totally stippled due to mechanical mistake. They were confident that there is no way that the guys at jiffy lube couldn't have noticed and they probably know the second they caused the trending to strip. I am extremely disappointed in the workers for not letting me know about my oil pan being stripped. I know that oil pans can strip over time so maybe they didn't cause it but they should have let me know if they noticed it. Benefit of doubt it's a training issue on how to spot stripped treading but I got the impression thought out my conversations that they were nervous and on the defense even though I was very non confrontational. It definitely would have saved all of us a lot of time, oil, and the curb appeal of the road in front of my house for them to have told me upfront there was a major issue. read more

Surprisingly this was my first time at a Jiffy Lube in my whole life. Came on a Tuesday at 3:00 PM and there were a handful of people in front of me. The guy showed me into the room and said there was coffee and water inside. Funny thing though, there was a keurig and no coffee pods... It took about 45 minutes for my car to be done, and a friend advised me to watch to ensure they did everything, and seeing Yelp reviews I wanted to make sure as well. My coupon was for $24.99 but using synthetic oil, I got $15 off a package of $110...so yeah, I ended up paying the same as I do with my other local place so will just continue to go there going forward. read more

I had a bad experience at Jiffy Lube. It was my first time getting an oil change there. I honestly went there out of convenience and did not know any better. I thought it would be more affordable than where I usually go but to my surprise I paid $110 for my oil change! For my car I usually pay no more than $65 at my mechanic (regardless of inflation) that was with the discount they provided me. Not only was I bewildered when receiving my invoice but the man who was behind me was also shocked at the prices he was presented by the sales associate. I did not find the staff to be welcoming or good at communicating. I was told to meet inside when I arrived. So I parked and met the guy at the register. He then told me to go grab my car and repark it and bring him the key (like why can't you do that part, like everywhere else does?). Meanwhile the dude at the register is just laughing watching me walk in and out. Then on my way to pick up the car I pay, and the guy at the register was really sketching me out because he kept trying to upsell me stuff I didn't come for. I explain to him that I've never been to a Jiffy lube before so I'm not used to their processes and he laughs again and says, "oh ya no wonder!" Then proceeds to tell me that he can't find my car keys. I'm already anxious because of the experience I've had and to top it off he tells me to walk over to my car bc it "might" have been left in there. So I walk to my car, I'm kind of annoyed and my car door is locked. So I run over to the mechanic and tell him that the guy told me you guys left my keys in the car so he panics and says "I hope not!" runs inside and finds my keys. I traveled up to San Jose from LA to buy a Cadillac Hearse from a mortuary. There was a leak on the oil pan gasket. I called Jiffy lube and spoke with Joe. He said that there were a few different factors at play on whether or not they'd be able to get fixed same day for me to drive home. He was honest and gave me info for another shop near by that specializes in Cadillacs. I used to take my car to Jiffy Lube. With a coupon the price was pretty good. The one thing I didn't like was they were always trying to sell me something. They once showed me an air filter that clearly wasn't mine and told me that mine was dirty. I check my own air filter and I thought this was kind of shady. I never had a problem with my oil change or with them excepting my coupon. A few times they would forget to go through their multipoint Inspection and not fill all of the fluids. I have since started getting my oil changed when I had my car in the shop for another reason. I feel like the quality is better. And usually the price is about the same. read more

Stopped in yesterday to have them check what I thought was an oil leak. Super friendly group of young men who were courteous and thorough. I sat in the waiting room and in no time at all, they came back to tell me that the oil was fine but that I had a radiator leak. They filled up the radiator and the reserve and told me to take it to my mechanic. They did not charge me for their time! Later, I noticed they vacuumed my car...so nice!
