I'm very disappointed with my recent visit to Jiffy Lube. I paid for a Signature Service package, but as far as I could tell, many of the listed services were not performed. The following items were not completed: Brake fluid level check Wiper blades check Exterior lights check Tire pressure check Transmission fluid check Power steering fluid check Battery check Exterior window cleaning Interior floor vacuum That's a significant portion of what I paid for. When customers are charged for a package, they expect the full service to be completed -- not just part of it. In addition, the customer service was very unprofessional. No one asked for my name, and I was not thanked when I paid. The employees were openly complaining about management in front of customers, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and poorly managed. Because so many visible tasks were not completed, I am also concerned about the services I couldn't see. It makes me question whether other important checks were skipped as well. This experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. I trusted them to perform the services they advertised and charged me for, but that trust was not upheld. I would strongly advise others to carefully review the work before leaving. I will not be returning. read more

They did not tighten my oil filter. Didn't make it home before the check engine light and low oil pressure lights came on. WAITED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR 2 hours before the manager came out and put a few quarts of oil so I can make it back to their shop for them to redo my oil change. Engine ran without oil for a few minutes. Was told the " best we can do is refund your money" 4 hours total and risked engine damage. Would not recommend. read more

I have been to this shop at least three times and have noticed a pattern. Within 2 weeks of getting an oil change, my oil is super low. There are no oil leaks. My garage has no oil on the ground. I park in same spot at work and no oil marks left. I spoke with multiple mechanics who service my work vehicles, they have all felt that Jiffy Lube is shorting the amount of oil in my vehicle. They have offered services that are not appropriate. I drive a Honda sedan. One of my friends who lives out of state is a 20-year Honda certified mechanic who works at a Honda dealership. I had asked him if an oil flush is necessary for my car, he promptly called me back, advising me against it. He said an oil flush will do more damage than any good. They were going to charge $80 to do something that a certified mechanic strongly advised against. This last time, they did not ask me what type of oil I wished to use. My car is recommended to have synthetic oil. Every place I have gone to immediately reminds me this. The reasoning is synthetic is more expensive and out of a courtesy everyone has always asked due to an increase in price. They started filling the car without asking. I stopped them, to clarify appropriate oil was being used. Their answer "Well, you wanted the same stuff that you put in your car, right?" I told them, that isn't the point, you need to be communicating with the customer on ANYTHING that changes the prices of service. They also did not clarify what the total was going to be prior to servicing until the end after all services are rendered. They do attempt to nickel and dime you any chance they get: clean the battery, wind shield wiper blades, license plate light, etc. They were pushing for a belt replacement. I had to tell them twice I have a reliable mechanic that is capable. About 60-70% of the people who work here are very nice. The others do not know how to talk to customers and are strong on teenage angst. I will probably just drive into Portland or ask my mechanic to do oil changes for now on. Lastly, they checked my tire pressure and reported they were all fine. Driving away, my tire light came on. I went over to Les Schwab and waited two hours to tell me my tires were fine, just all low. I did not have two hours to spend today fixing was jiffy lube messed up. read more

I've gone to the Sandy OR Jiffy Lube for years and never been let down. They are always cheerful and helpful. I drive an older high mileage car and appreciate that in addition to changing my oil they check everything and let me know what they find. I have had them go out of their way to help with little things that are "off menu" at no extra charge. Yet remain respectful and nice when I turn down extra services that have a fee. Took our car in to get an oil change from this site as this is the only site we use since it is convienent to my home. After 1/2 hour of sitting in the car as they worked, they informed me that the last person that did the oil change at jiffy lube put the oil plug in with a power tool and "rounded' the plug so they could not remove it to drain the oil. They said they had to get a special tool to remove the plug. After more time of sitting in the car while they worked, we could hear and feel the banging underneath our car as they tried to remove this plug With this special tool. They then let us know that in their attempts to remove the plug with force they cracked the oil pan. They said we would need to leave the car and get a ride home because it would take awhile to fix the damage. We had no way of getting home so luckily they were able to give us a ride home. I received a call later that day from a young lady at Jiffy Lube who informed me that it would take a couple of days to fix Our car. I was pretty pissed off by this news. Stranding us at home. I asked that aside from the repairs, I would expect the oil change would be of no charge. She said she wasn't sure they could do that. We are still waiting for an update today about the status of the repairs and whether or not they are going to charge us for the oil change after all this inconvenience which was out of our control. Come on jiffy lube, your prices are high enough to hire better help and get better trining for your staff. Looking at other options for oil changes in my community. read more

If you need anything more than your fluids checked or air put in your tires, I'd go somewhere else. I was told my brakes were in a condition they were not actually in and agreed to a service and a loan I couldn't afford out of fear my brakes were going to crap out in the middle of the Oregon Outback. I went here on my way to the Alvord Desert in Southeastern Oregon, with an 800-mile round-trip ahead of me, I wanted to make sure my fluids were good. However, when I arrived, the young lady who looked at my tires alarmed me when she said my brake pads were "metal on metal". At first, I was puzzled since my mechanic who had recently replaced all 4 of my tires a couple months prior had said nothing about my brakes needing to be replaced soon. The lady at this shop told me that she had heard people having the issue of mechanics missing things like that. I told her that I did not have money to replace all 4 of my brake pads as she was saying should be done. However, she told me about this Snap Financing and said that I could do that and only pay a small portion of the bill that day. After leaving I became extremely worried and scared that if the brakes were truly as bad as she said they were, I could be in serious danger as the Alvord Desert is about as far from anything as you can get, and I was traveling there by myself and had a family who needed me to return safely. So, I turned around and went back to the location and talked to the same young lady again, who agreed that with me going into the desert, my brake pads being in the condition she claimed they were in would not be a safe thing to do. So, I applied for the Snap Financing as she instructed and was approved. I then proceed to wait 4 hours while my brake pads were replaced, watching as the one or two of the techs who were actually working on my vehicle, would do a little bit of work, then would go and talk for a while with the several other employees who were standing around not doing anything during what was apparently a very slow time of the day. To make matters worse, after I had been there nearly 2 1/2 hours and the brake pad changing process was well underway, I was told by the young lady who had initially told me my brakes were "metal on metal", that my brakes were in fact not actually as bad as she had initially said they were. Had I known what the actual condition of my brakes were in from the outset and not believed they were "metal on metal" as I was told, I would not have agreed to having nearly $1000.00 of service done on that day and I would not have applied for the Snap Finance loan that is looking to charge me over twice that amount if I don't get the entirety of the cost paid before the beginning of January. Now, I will give the young lady in question the benefit of the doubt, and assume she honestly believed my brake pads were in the condition she said they were in and wasn't outright lying to get me to agree to a nearly $1,000.00 service bill. However, her seemingly negligent misrepresentation of the condition of my brakes caused me, through fear for my own safety, to enter into a financial agreement I otherwise would not have entered into had I been given the correct information regarding the condition of my brakes in the first place. read more

Slow and ineffective. I waited an hour in my hot truck for them to finish up the car in the bay. A lot of people, not a lot of movement. Waited an hour for them to run the emissions DEQ test. When they called me up to pay, they mentioned that they couldn't do the DEQ because of their equipment. Waited two hours for a filter change and did not get the service I needed. Have to start all over tomorrow. Maybe when I asked them if they were offering DEQ service when I arrived they could have told me no. It would have been the same result. Wont be back. They just purchased this vehicle used earlier the same week. Their dipstick was broken, so jiffy lube sold them a new one, and did the oil change. Jiffy Lube in Sandy OVER FILLED the engine oil, resulting in THICK white smoke pouring out of the exhaust upon start up when my mom went to leave with her vehicle. Jiffy lube employees did not give her a second look or show any concern and told her she had bought a lemon, and to take it back to the dealer. After costly repairs and diagnosis from Bills automotive in sandy, confirming that Jiffy lube sold my parents the wrong size dipstick and the engine oil was overfilled by nearly twice as much oil as it should have in it! My dad is a very patient man and has been trying to handle this professionally with management and corporate but he is being passed around from one contact to another without being given so much as an ounce of reassurance or peace of mind that they will take action in reimbursing my parents for the ordeal. This company is ridiculous. This can't be the first time this has happened to a customer from an employees carelessness and unwillingness to check their own work. If my father is not contacted back and given an update on this situation, further action will be taken. Next steps will be contacting the FTC and BBB. read more

Been way to busy lately, decided to try and save a little time by having these guys do the "work". Not even home yet and I'm see smoke coming out of my engine! Figure they spilled som oil and let it go. Drive to work the next day and still smell oil burning. Crawl under my vehicle and the oil pan is dripping...oil filter is dripping...! Would give 0 stars if I could. The manager is extremely rude and everyone had poor attitude. The person who worked on our car seemed to be on drugs and it took them over 45 minutes to change our oil. They also could not figure out which oil filter went in our car, I worry they put in the wrong filter as well. When we left they hadn't put the cover on the bottom of our car right. It popped off in the middle of the Highway and felt very unsafe. Manager said "it's demolished but it's just a piece of plastic, you'r car will be fine." Never go here. read more

My husband changes my oil 90% of the time but on those other 10% gaps I dread the going into these places. i have been going to Ford dealership, which is around $35 for high mileage oil. I went in here and the guy quoted me $98 for an oil change. I was like really? Right after the stroke. For that much money I will watch YouTube and do it myself. He said we have a cheaper one, and needless to say we started stepping down in $10 steps. I was like just give me the cheapest oil you have, that was $50 for just basic oil. That is fine if it gets me out of here and my husband to stop telling me to go get it changed, oh and the car was nagging me too every time I turned it on. Then I tell him I have a coupon, he asked from where I said from the Entertainment book, he asked which one, said there are a few. I said the $5 one. He said oh yeah that is good. So, I said wait, let me google for a better one since you said there are others. He said I don't have time for that, I guess I can just give you the one I know is the better one, $25 off. There is your tip of the day, tell them you want that $25 off! I saw the list on his screen, it is there all the time. I know they don't give it freely, as my son goes here regularly, which makes me question his upbringing. He told me he has never been offered a coupon. So, they told me they would do my brakes for $180, changing the pad and another charge to change my transmission fluid too. No, I am good let's go. After the dance of up selling, we were done in about 30 mins total. I get in the car and go only to have my passenger door warning alert me the door was open. As soon as I turned onto the highway I had to pull over right away and shut it. Not cool Jiffy Lube. I won't say I won't ever go back, but I wasn't impressed with prices. read more

I was told the radiator cap was cracked so, I said go ahead. I was charge for their "Signature Oil Change". This included a bunch of stuff they didn't do and $19.99 for a $7 radiator cap. I had a super pleasant experience at this Jiffy Lube. I recently had my oil changed without issue at another Jiffy Lube location, but saw a notice to change my oil when I started my car. I stopped into this location to make sure I wasn't low on oil or in need of something else. The guy who greeted me informed me it was a sensor that they likely forgot to manually reset during my recent oil change. He told me they could reset it for me. Since they were doing that, I asked if they could add air to my tires since the air pressure light had been on. He kindly agreed and they started working on my car. While doing this, I also saw them topping off all of the liquids in my car, including the windshield wiper fluid. It was a super quick trip and topping off the fluids was the icing on the cake. When they were done, I asked what I owed them and was informed it was a total of $0!! I'll certainly be coming back once I'm actually due for an oil change. read more

I had one bad experience at a JiffyLube in AZ years ago. 20 buck turned into 400 because the bastards stripped the drain plug and used red locktite to seal it shut. Fast forward to now. I just wanted to get quick oil change because of the cold weather, but I see nothing has changed. I'll deal with the 20 minutes of cold to make sure my truck works. I knew better, But Jiffy lube just seems easier than going to Honda. Ok, sounded like a rock in my brake after leaving, but then I hit 55 on highway 26 and all of a sudden felt like my engine dropped immediate stop and pull over, thanking god I didn't cause an accident. Then thoughts ran to my 2018 car is trashed. I called someone came it was cover underneath over oil can. They fixed and frankly didn't feel employees where at fault. This happens so often. They all admit screws for this unit to stay in place are not strong enough to hold. So then I'm thinking this Corporation allows this to keep happening. While in waiting room other customers had similar stories one ladies hood flew up when she left there. And then the cashier at store told me same happened to her daughter. To be fair I then later in the day excused them of stealing $20 from my car. But I myself later found I did call and emailed them to apologize and admit my error. But at some point Jiffy Lube is going to have some explaining to do when someone lose's their life in a wreck due to having to come to a sudden stop on highway. And it doesn't feel good when you have a nice car and it's now suffered possible damage underneath due to you using screws you know are not affective. Happened to anyone else out there? They came up with at least 6 different "problems" with my vehicle even though I know they are not problems due to just having my vehicle looked at by another mechanic when he changed my brakes (just a little over a week ago!). They also did not add my $15 off coupon that I brought and overcharged me. Had I known how much the oil change would cost BEFORE they drained my oil I would've left and went somewhere else. RIP OFFS! (Sandy Oregon Location)I pulled in and asked for a quote for synthetic blend on an oil change. I was quoted $34.95. They did their inspection and when I went over to check in he told me it would be somewhere around $60. I told him I'd been quoted $34.95. They then proceeded to tell me they couldn't make the adjustment and they had already drained my oil. It was like pulling teeth to get them to honor the price they quoted me before I pulled into the bay. Boycott this location! read more

I'm very unsure about going to a new place for car services, I've been ripped off before at other places. I'm BEYOND furious right now. I had been going to this location for oil changes, and tire rotations with my new car. (Sandy, Or.) King had informed me that I needed new tires and it would be great for me to purchase my tires here as jiffy lube offers everything that les Schwab does and at ANY location. I ended up with a flat tire and got towed to my nearest jiffy lube location to find out what I was told was FAR from the truth. I recieved a list from the location I'm now stranded at with the jiffy lube (lube management) and a good portion of those locations do NOT do tires at all. I understand jiffy lube wants there numbers up but to tell customers BOLD FACE LIES, and put customers in a bad position is beyond messed up!!! So now I sit here in jiffy lube parking lot in NE Portland waiting for les Schwab to open so they can come and air up my tire and fix it. I would like A SPEEDY RESOLVE to this issue that should NOT have happened!!!! I would NEVER reccomend anyone to go to this location. This kind of customer service is NOT how you continue to get repeat customers and or word of mouth!!!! I Told them 4 different times not to change my ATF oil and they did anyway. It was already changed 6 months ago. Not happy with how my rear differential oil was taken care of either. Shotty service to my car and smooth slickness to my face. I feel like I got taken advantage of by used car salesmen.
