Trying to change my oil the other day I stripped my drain plug, which left me super frustrated and anxious about getting into a shop for help. I assumed I'd get price gouged everywhere near me for the oil change I'd need to pay for now but I thought I'd step into my local jiffy lube just for reference. I came in and was greeted by Albert and Marco who I told about my problems doing it myself and they were immediately understanding, reasonable, and neighborly in getting me the help I needed. I'd rather it be a bit less jiffy and a bit more complete. Friendly staff, quick service, but they didn't vacuum my car even though the checklist says they did. I also know for a fact that my oil was low going into the shop but the pre-work checklist said it was full. Makes me wonder what else they didn't complete. read more

I've had some great experiences here on 45th. The last time I was there to get my levels topped off, Jorge noticed that my radiator cap was no longer creating a tight seal. I'd been about to go to a mechanic to see about what seemed like a leaky radiator, so Jorge saved me a lot of money! For less than $10, I was able to buy one right there on the spot. read more

Possibly because they're busy, but on three occasions they've been very slow to greet me as I pull up (5-10 minutes pass before they approach). They don't push services other than the signature oil change I ask for, and they run through what my car might need/has had done quickly. Standard service, standard prices. Hi there, I wanted to share a few things regarding my experience at the 45th Street location today. First of all, this location is very convenient to my house and so it is nice to be able to quickly stop in for our families oil changes. That said, while getting my car taken in for an oil change and about a concern with the check engine light, I was confused when the manager did not address that issue but merely tried to get me to purchase an additional service that had nothing to do with my concern about the check engine light. When I asked about that issue, he continued to tell me about the radiation fluid changed ($100) but was very quick to go over details and it really was a huge turn-off that resulted in my not wanting to take in our second car to get it's oil changed. The only saving grace was when Dzevad tried to explain why the radiation fluid change was needed and provided the detail necessary for someone to be able to make the decision to move forward with a service like that. Dzevad's explanation and thoughtfulness changed my decision and I decided to bring the 2nd car back for it's oil change. When I returned, the manager had already left and I felt I received wonderful service for Jorge, Dzevad and another fellow who was also helping. The extra effort they put forth to make my experience informative, quick and fun, made it very clear that i should come back to this location again. They do a good job with the basics, but the plus is the manager, Brian. He has gone out of his way to help me out with a variety of fixes, including scraping goo off my windshield, finding and reattaching hoses, and even delivering my keys across the street while I got a manicure! Love thus place. I like 2 blocks away and they always do a great job on my oil changes and put air in my tires without me even having to ask. Today I was very worried because my check engine light came on and Ron was so helpful with diagnosing the issue. I had an issue with my cooling system. The tech was very helpful in getting my coolant refilled and getting me quickly on my way.

Went at 9am on a weekday and drove right in for an oil change. Staff was friendly, efficient and did not try and up-sell me anything, nor give me a laundry list of needed extras (though I prefaced my visit with, "my car is old, I'm sure it needs some things done, but I don't plan on doing them"). I stopped by here last weekend because I was getting strange readings on my oil dipstick. Even though it was a sunny and busy day, one of the guys here took the time to quickly pull my car to the side, check the oil, top it off (I was just really low on oil) and give me a few tips about checking my oil and what type to request in the future. No charge, no sales pitch, and in less than 5 minutes I was back on the road. About a month ago, I visited this shop to get an oil change for my car. The service man inspected my engine oil and found out that engine oil is not dirty at all it does not need to be replaced. I was actually very surprised to hear this. I wonder how many car service providers actually tell you that you do not need to get engine oil changed, when that is their primary source of revenue. I have been going to jiffy lube for 15 years and this shop is super friendly and fast. They gave me exactly what i asked for and did not try to sell me something i did not need. I see the reviews and i would not give them any less than 5 stars. They vacuumed my car wiped down my windows and opened the door for me when it was finished. I will maintain a faithful customer! Just left here . Car shut of in the rain on the highway panicked . The tow driver was a jerk etc . When my car got here they were extremely helpful patient and attentive . Even once they realized it was something internal and they don't do electronic stuff they recommended a place and when I realized it was closed they offered to hold my car for me until the morning . I drove up and said I wanted an oil change- I also asked if I could get a tire rotation and alignment. The guy checking me in said "We can check and see if you need that." Okay- weird, I've never known Jiffy Lube to down sell me- but fair enough. After I pull in and wait for a minute or two in the waiting room, I get called to signed in to the computer. I let the second employee know I want an oil change and tire rotation and he said "Oh, our tool is broken. We can't do tires. He didn't tell you that?" No, he didn't. Dude. 1) get your equipment fixed. But 2) Don't deliberately withhold information from a customer about your capabilities. I have to assume that he thought I'd leave if I knew he couldn't do my tires. I wouldn't have, but that shouldn't have mattered. He lied and kind of belittled me by saying "We'll see if you need that.." I left with a weird scammy feeling so I might as well not return. read more

I read the prior reviews and was a little hesitant to go there. I was pleasantly surprised. Very professional and thorough. I asked to watch them service my car and they were very accommodating. They did everything they said they did and went over the report thoroughly. They didn't push any products on me and were very professional and knowledgeable. I asked the service manager how long he had been working there and he started in Oct. 2010 ,all reviews since then have been positive. I will be taking my other car here soon as well. Pay attention to the more recent reviews, went on a weekday morning so maybe I just got lucky, but it was a good experience. Jiffy Lube has a bad reputation for their poor service and questionable business practices. Some of them are probably true, but I had a good experience at this location. I think they deserve a positive review. As soon as I parked and got out of my car, I was greeted and asked what service I need. I told them I needed an oil change and was told to pull in from the back of the shop then wait in the "customer lounge", which is a tiny room with a few chairs and a pot of free coffee. I was told it will be 10-15mins before they get to my car and the oil change will take 10-15 mins. In the end I was only there for 20 mins TOTAL. After they started working on my car, one of the staff asked me a few questions about the car and got my contact info. After that, we started shooting the breeze; he told me some of the collisions he's seen happen on 45th St. Idiots crash into parked cars not knowing some lanes turn into parking lanes at certain times of the day. Apparently it is common for some Juffy Lubes to sell you (or even trick you to buy) things that are unrelated to the service you asked for. That did not happen to me. They didn't "ask about my wipers". Truth be told, my wipers are shit; I've been too lazy to change them. So I got oil/filter change, fluids check/top-off, lights/belt check, floor vacuum and window wash. After I paid and as I was about to get in my car, another staff, an older gentlemen, asked, "do you have time? Let me check the tire pressure for you real quick." I don't know if it's supposed to be included in the oil change service, but regardless, it shows that he is helpful and courteous. They filled my tires and pointed out to me that one of them was really low. I thanked them, got in my car and drove away as a satisfied customer. This year I decided to forego my yearly oil change visit to Lexus of Seattle because of high prices and rude employees. Because of a friend's recommendation, I went to Jiffy Lube in Wallingford. The visit took me by total surprise. Unlike Lexus in Seattle, the employees were very friendly and got the job done quickly, describing a small defect in the differential that was noticed. It was in and out before I knew it. The employees and manager were all upbeat. The Lexus of Seattle people seem to consider themselves as doing you an overpriced favor. The last time I was at Lexus, I asked for synthetic oil and got the cheaper mixture instead. I never looked at what I was charged for it. As benign as they are at Jiffy Lube, they were that pugnacious at Lexus. Give Wallingford Jiffy Lube a try! read more

This Jiffy Lube is a disaster. I have used them twice in the last year. In the first instance, my oil filler cap was left off after my oil was changed. I drove to Whidbey Island and back and discover the problem on the way home. The engine was covered with oil. My next change, done before a long vacation trip,resulted in overfilling the oil reservoir and installation of the wrong filter for my model car. This resulted in another oily mess as oil leaked from the filter and skewed over the engine. I had the get a new oil change at another another service provider. In good conscience I could not recommend this location with its current staff. read more

Great service and genuinely interested in helping. I asked the team to do a check of a car I was considering buying for my teen. Other places either had no availability. Curtis had us in and out in 10 mins with a clear list of items to negotiate with the dealership. And it did not break the bank. I will now use these guys for other services. I just went in for a regular oil change, and I will admit I do not know much about cars so I was a bit nervous coming in but the experience I had at this jiffy lube was just awful. The customer service I received was horrible. I am not sure why but the man assisting me kept on swearing under his breath and was very impatient even though only one person was behind me and had been for maybe 3 minutes or so. Like I said, I do not know much about cars so I was trying to evaluate what were the best options and ask a couple questions but he kept rushing me and and made me feel like a burden. I know it can be a bit frustrating trying to explain something to someone who does not have much knowledge in the area but I do think you should still be understanding that we are not all well versed in cars. Although I did have my oil changed ($81 which I think is expensive for just an oil change and the experience I had), I would not recommend coming here because of the customer service they provide. read more

They had been out of my car's air filter for two oil changes now, and it needed replacement - so I called ahead and they actually had it in stock on a day I could get there! For this review, 5 stars goes to ... Alan! It is because of his exceptional customer care I returned after an oil change due to my transmission fluid wanting to be checked. He not only checked the level of fluid, he went out of his way to help me with my gear shift sticking. If it were not for him taking the time to help me I would have more than likely had my car towed. Hands down the worst and most potentially deadly service experience on earth. The estimated wait of 20 minutes turned into three and a half hours. This place is an absolute circus of incompetence and asininity. When they were unable to get an accurate reading they indulged in an orgy of guesswork, resulting in a constellation of errors, one of which was the draining of the wrong line. This destroyed our power steering, and caused us to spew fuel all over the highway from Tacoma to Chehelis. When we had our car towed to another mechanic, he confirmed that the line had been destroyed, and that several of the services which the original malefactors had charged us for had not, in fact, been performed. When we called Jiffy lube to discuss this abject burlesque, the customer service representatives were overtly hostile, belligerent, and rude. I found this aspect to be the most horrifying of the entire experience; their negligence and ineptitude could legitimately have killed us, not to mention the fact that they overtly cheated and lied to us, and their response was to be snide and uncooperative. This place is highly recommended if you are planning on entering a coma or a rage blackout, or if you enjoy long hours spent fixedly staring at the galvanic tortured spasms of an enormous windsock that resembles a grimacing rectum. read more

I went into the one in wallingford and I had been going there for the last few oil changes. I was told my oil plug had been stripped. I explained that it had been them and had the paperwork in my glove box. However additionally every time you take your car they keep record of it. So I told them it was you. They made a fuss and said that I'd have to call a manager. I called it took a while of following up with them and getting nasty but they finally agreed to fix it. They made me order the part which was only a couple bucks but then they replaced for free. However later I found they hadn't replaced the bowl which was just as important. So F' them for lousy service. Messing up on a person's car is an awful thing to do. read more

Well, I have been a long time Jiffy Lube Customer and find their staff quite friendly. Today I went to the Walling ford Jiffy Lube for an Oil Change. An issue I have experienced repeatedly at these establishments is that they never vacuum the vehicle correctly. JL charges a fair amount and part of that "premium service" is that the vacuum the car. Because I have had issue with this in the past - I asked the attendant that waived me in "please vacuum thoroughly as I have already removed all trash, please remove the mats and vacuum under and around the seats" he said he would. When a young lady checked me in ...I requested the same of her. She stated that she would see to it even if she were to do it herself. Fast forward, I am leaving and the vacuuming WAS NOT DONE THOROUGHLY It appeared as someone just stuck the hose over the mat and did not clean under the mat, around the bucket seat or even on the seat it's self. The woman who said she would see to it ...said she forgot...she did not forget, however to sell me on a radiator flush that she said I needed (and I believed her). I had to take the vehicle around again for them to do the job right. I have several issues with this: (1) if they are premium and vacuuming is part of the package than why do I need to even remind them of this?, (2) when I did remind TWO employees of this they said yes and STILL DID NOT HONOR THE REQUEST!, but (3), and the bigger issue, is that I believe they are more into "window dressing" than actual solutions...I mean if they lied and skimped on the vacuuming...did I really truly even need a radiator flush? Or was this just an excuse to charge me extra? I WILL NOT be going back, while friendly is important ...so is delivering on what you advertise. read more

This shop has great customer service. When one of their mechanics made a mistake while repairing my car, the shop manager was super helpful in getting it corrected. Even though I had moved out of state and could not bring it back to his shop, he worked with me to get the mistake corrected at another shop at no cost to me. I would recommend this shop based on their honesty in dealing with me and the helpful service they provided even after I was no longer a customer. read more

After watching people come in and go out while my car sat there for 1.25 hours, someone FINALLY told me that my oil pan plug had been stripped, but blamed it on the last place that changed my oil, which was a complete lie. I get out of my car to go wait in the waiting room ..took my purse in with me,but always have a stash of cash in my car ! The last time I went, they told me I really didn't need an oil change yet (I don't drive too often) and let me decide whether to get it or not. would suggest that you never go to the Tropical Tan or Jiffy Lube in Wallingford again! I went tanning last night and parked in the parking lot I have used many times before. This time, Jiffy Lube decided to tow my car and it cost me $450 to get it back. The Jiffy Lube employee asked me if I wanted and oil change or I was going tanning and never mentioned I should move my car and there were no signs posted. Later the employees mentioned that if I would have asked him "nicely" to park there, then he wouldn't have towed my car. Power trip much? Since then, 2 different Jiffy Lube employees have admitted that they have an agreement that Tropical Tan customers can park there. The owner of Tropical Tan admitted this has happened before but failed to post any sign in the salon informing patrons not to park in the shared parking lot. The owner was rude and unprofessional and could care less the impact his carelessness has on his customers. Terrible business practices! Unless you want to spend 4 1/2 hours trying to get your car out of impound and a crap load of money I would say avoid these businesses like the plague!! read more

Came here on a Saturday expecting to pay $110 for a new car battery. I've had issues with batteries, buying one every two years or so since I can't seem to keep them from dying on me.They found that the source of the problem was my glove compartment light switch, which was dislodged and causing the light to be on all the time, and took the time to fix it for me before refilling my battery with water and testing it for me. It's still a little low, but instead of suggesting that I buy a new battery, they told me I could test it out for a few days and see if it recharges. I've never been to a car service center before where the employees were so concerned with saving me money! Great and friendly service. read more
