I'm doing everything I can to save money these days. So, I took the time to shop around my area and Steve at the Jiffy Lube in Wallingford quoted me the best price for a transmission fluid change ($20 off) and an equivalent price for the oil change (most were offering a $10 savings). I went on line and printed out a coupon for $9.00 off and headed out. When Steve realized I had the coupon he first claimed that only one could be used. Due to poor communication on both our parts, I didn't know he was already quoting me a coupon offer, nor did he know that I was planning to bring in a coupon. He quickly took the "customer is always right" stance and agreed to honor my coupon. Additionally, he later came in to the waiting area and let me know that he could find me a better coupon and thus reduced my oil change by $20 total. He also chose to fill my empty antifreeze reservoir for free (usually a $5.00 charge). This is a classic situation that could have easily gone sour, with both of us arguing the legitimacy of our viewpoint. But Steve quickly made a time-honored and savvy business choice to take care of his customer. And, when he realized I was a repeat customer, did it up one better by finding me additional savings and later on volunteered some much appreciated insight into some of my car's electrical issues. This is someone who knows his business is built on repeat customers and that service is everything. I had almost gone somewhere else, but remembered that these guys had gone out of their way to help me change a light bulb months before for free (it's in a crazy, hard to reach spot and they wouldn't accept payment). So, I gave some thought to giving my business to people who behave honorably. Really, that's all I ask for. Misunderstandings happen. Hopefully he'll mention that his discount offer cannot be used with other offers when quoting on the phone and I know that I will be much more careful about mentioning when I plan to bring in a coupon. Steve runs a tight ship, is very enthusiastic about his work and has integrity. He'll definitely have my business again. read more

I've always had good experiences at Jiffy Lube and today was no exception! First time visiting this specific location and they were all really nice, super straightforward, and laid out clear quotes before starting any work. I need an oil change and tires rotated because they were overdue; the treds on my tires were looking fine (because I haven't been driving much) and they gave me full transparency on whether or not I needed them rotated. Figured it was best to keep on top of it and they were so quick with all my services. Huge shout-out to Joseph!! UNBELIEVABLY good service. Seth the manager and the crew were out of this world. My wife's car broke down and it was following an oil change. Apparently unbeknownst to them a rodent had gotten into our air intake. They sent a tech out after her to help, though she was now about 20 minutes away. The tech was able to get the car purged of the rodent nest and droppings and all of that, and we brought her car back to JL to ensure that it was road-ready. Seth and his crew made sure to stay past quitting time at 6pm to ensure her car was completely vacuumed out and back up to par. Really nice manners and friendly service. I had a fantastic experience at the Jiffy Lube in the University District last week, all thanks to Uly! I was incredibly stressed when my engine made a loud knocking sound and my oil light came on during my commute to work and rushed over to Jiffy Lube just before closing time. Uly was so calm and reassuring. He efficiently took care of an oil change, but went above and beyond by also cleaning my engine and replacing my spark plugs. The difference in my engine's performance since then has been incredible, and it's made all the difference on the road trip I'm currently enjoying. This is my second review, because I'm so impressed, again. I got the same dude that helped me, gave honest advise. He even showed me the metal shavings that came off the gear boxes. Very knowledgeable about lift kits, and spare tires, I asked him questions about this, but I wasn't there for that, but he still answered my questions, but was professional about stating that it was not an official jiffy lube answer, just his personal opinion. Alot of people are afraid to give an opinion, because they think you will sue them or get them in trouble or whatever, but this guy is the reason that I go back to this Jiffy lube every time. The "check engine light" means you have a gas leak, probably in the gas cap area, the seal may be broken or the cap is not screwed on completely. " I had that happen with my Chrysler and it denied my vehicle inspection until I fixed the problem. Went to the dealer who replaced the seal in the gas cap area and the cap itself, no check engine light, gut the car inspected. It's not a huge problem, but these new tanks are sealed. If you don't screw your cap on all the way, it causes wear and cracking in the seals, thus the 'ck engine light.' Royal pain. read more

There is a reason I keep coming back. Seth and Billy are professional and thorough. Seth answered all of my questions and gave me helpful advice. My service was quick and efficient. What's more, it can be stressful handling things like car maintenance, especially as a woman, and someone with limited knowledge. But I felt like Seth and Billy weren't pushy and really listened to my concerns without judgement. It helped me feel like I could trust their recommendations. Late on a Sunday evening (of course), my tire indicator came on to warn of under-inflated tire(s). Headed for the nearest gas station which 1. had an air source that didn't work and 2. had a broken air pressure gauge. So I looked around and saw Jiffy Lube across the street and drove over, just out of curiosity, to see whether they had "air for sale." What a wonderful surprise! Not only air for free but the two really nice guys refused to accept a tip. Wow! I've been here before and will return. Recommend this place!! read more

Arrived here pretty grumpy and left with smiles on our faces! The GM Steven Shepherd and his crew were amazing! They were organized, communicative, and through. Their quality inspection is complete, and they'll catch things that normally are ignored. They go the extra mile to wash your window, vacuum your carpet, and then escort you to your car door at the end. I'd rather drive further to go to this location than the one next to my house! I was in this store the other day to have my tire looked at but they had a line of cars but they did manage to squeeze me in at the time allotted. Great Customer Service! I do not understand people who have a tendency to leave negative comments about this store when they are the ones who are actually uneducated about car maintenance. Great experience with the manager William! I had to replace my old battery and was not able to do it myself. It was supposed to be urgently fixed cause the car was barely started. I called and asked them it could be replaced if I pay. They replaced my old battery with no charge..... William was extremely helpful and done an excellent job!!! William was my lifesaver!! I went to get an oil change a couple days ago & Bill Pope the AGM + team gave such greats service. With everything going on with COVID-19 they had drive thru service. I didn't even have to get out my car. They did the job super quick and most importantly made me feel safe and taken care of.
