Because I see so many requests for "where to go for car repairs"...I have to tell you...without a shadow of doubt...go to Big O's in Sellersberg!!!! I had an emergency today...at McDonalds, my car wouldn't start. Son left work to come jump start my battery. I drove straight to Big O's in Sellersburg to get a new battery. BUT...they tested my battery, it was good. (average cost for battery is now $100+). They said next culprit could be the alternator. I asked cost....quote was right at $700. They Said, let us do a diagnostic on it. They did...and guess what!!!... It WASN'T the alternator...it was the battery in the key fob, which he came back to the counter with the key fob already fixed...and that cost was $4.00!!! PLEASE NOTE: 1. He verified the problem, even though I came in asking for a new battery. 2. He told me the TRUTH about my diagnosis. 3. He told me the next logical step & quote for price, and VERIFIED (not assume) if that WAS actually the problem! 4. He told me the TRUTH that this expensive repair was not the problem 5. He found the ACTUAL problem, fixed the problem, and told me the TRUTH about what was needed to repair my problem! I can't tell you how wonderful and comfortable I feel, as a woman, about going to Big O's in Sellersburg for my car repairs!! They don't talk down to me, they don't lie to me, they don't fix things that don't need to be fixed, they don't over charge me...they just do their job the way they should and treat you with respect and honor you as a customer! Man oh man, if it wasn't for this shop I would have been in a horrible place…read more Spent good money at another certain shop that is "Toyota specific" in Middletown. And they destroyed the studs on my exhaust manifold from a simple bolt on magnaflow exhaust that should have been no more than 2 hours and a few hundred dollars. It left that shop leaking and loose, right rear cat failed and magnaflow honored the warranty and shipped me a replacement. Brought it back to have them swap the part and fix the leak. It leaked even worse and the owner told me straight to my face that it was not leaking and it didn't fit perfect cause it wasn't OEM. I finally find Eric with performance automotive and come To find out he even used to work at ams, so he knows what he's doing for sure. After spending 3 hours removing the old stripped studs and putting in new hardware, the magnaflow exhaust all went into place perfect like an OEM part . Had some other parts that needed to go on before a trip back to California and when I went to drop off truck my alternator was showing signs it was going out. Got all the parts together and he managed to swap that, installed my traction bars, do my carrier bearing on my driveshaft, and airbag cradles. Truck drives perfect now and while his shop rate may be "high" to some people, he actually is working that full hour and doesn't just sit around. I'd rather pay more per hour and less hours and ensure it gets done than some of these other shops in the area that charge less per hour but bill you more hours and mess things up like what I experienced that he had to fix. Overall you get what you pay for and simply put, He's the only shop I would ever go to out there.

Both tried charging me over $2000 for repairs I did not need and didn't even perform the alignment. I guess they thought because I'm not a man I wouldn't fact check them. Well, their loss because I've found an amazing, reasonable, truthful and decent shop in Carmerica so they'll be getting my business forever after now. it was very easy to make an appointment.
