I don't live in Florida but have been driving so much I needed an oil change. I googled oil change coupon and found a $20 off any jiffy lube in the area. That was the nearest location to me. I usually go to my independent auto mechanic near me at home. I know most all these quick lube places seem to always find something you need to do. I know their tactics. So I was ready for that. They told me my power steering fluid was black and needed a flush. He quoted 99.99. I said no, and then he discounted it 15%. I still said no as I figured my guy at home could do it for less. He didn't push me. He accepted the first no with no scare tactics like others here write about. I checked with my mechanic shop and they wanted just as much. When done they laid down a red carpet to walk on to get back in my car. Its just a 2001 beater by now and hardly a red carpet car, but it was kind of cute they make an effort to make you feel good. Maybe all Jiffys do that now. I have no idea. They never used to. Or maybe its just this location doing what they can to win your business. I have no complaints here. Wait time big thumbs down. It had been 40 minutes and they hadn't even started my service yet but kept my hood up and a hose in my window so I couldn't leave without causing a scene. I came here because it's supposed to be fast service. I have my baby in the car too which they're lucky is in a good mood today and waiting patiently by a miracle. One of the workers is in the corner combing his long hair nice and slow instead of helping one of the cars. They up-charged me for a special blend of oil and were already doing it when they told me so I couldn't ask for a cheaper option. The whole thing took an hour before I was fully done and driving off the lot. I went to the Jiffy Lube on Seminole Blvd to get an oil change and replacement air filter and cabin filter in my 2021 Hyundai Kona. I was shocked to hear the cost was almost $200.00. When I challenged the cost the tech came up with a coupon but (IMO) this was a deceptive business practice. The appearance of the establishment was dirty with overflowing trash cans, etc. When I used the restroom (also filthy with overflowing trash can) the lite was flickering so bad it almost gave me a headache. I had the wrong type of oil (half synthetic, not full) and wrong viscosity oil put in my car which caused an engine code immediately after pulling out. I drove to my dealership and had it drained and the correct oil put in. Non-OEM filter may have to do with it as well, but all three issues combined definitely cause an issue. As soon as I left from getting the oil change done with the correct type of oil and OEM Filter the engine code went away and hasn't been back for weeks. I went to the shop and asked for a refund and showed them they put the wrong oil in my make of car. They agreed to refund me. It's been over 20 days and 3 phone calls and I still haven't gotten the refund.. I've been coming here for years, nearly 7 years... and they haven't made right on their mistake yet. I have shown up in person twice, and will be there a third time soon. It's not fair I have to get an oil change two days later to fix the wrong oil being put in my car. You guys agreed to the refund please stop delaying and make it happen. I paid in cash, I don't know why I am still waiting after you've agreed to it TWICE now, and its been over 20 days. If i could give a 0 star rating I would. Went in for a basic full synthetic oil change on March 9th 2023 and there was only 1 worker there. The guy emptied out my oil and then went to take care of the car next to me. He then returned to my car for about 5 minutes and closed my hood and took my payment stating i was good to go. I had a coupon for $30 off and he still charged me $100. (The receipt made no sense and had items i did not receive listed) As soon as i left and made a right onto the highway I could not accelerate and a dummy light came on stating ( vehicle malfunction, bring car to nearest service center!!) so i had to put my car in neutral and push it into the nearest parking lot. I ran back over to the tech and made him aware or the issue. He came over and helped me push my car on the grass back into the service dock. HE FORGOT TO PUT NEW OIL INTO MY TANK SO IT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. When i asked to speak to a manager he told me to call back the next day. When i called and told the manager what had happened he told me he found the invoice and would cancel the charge but never apologized or anything. The next day the charge posted to my account and now the manager refuses to respond and make it right. I see other reviews stating similar stories. Absolute embarrassment of an establishment. So I made the mistake of going here after the 5 minute place was unable to match my filter after I wasted 90 minutes there Jiffy was apparently able to match my filter But they charged me $120 for the premium service The posted price for basic is $45 So this is a gross over billing for 6 quarts of premium oil that is about $8 per quart off the shelf And you don't know if you are really getting premium oil because it comes out of a bucket No other services were provided so this is gross over billing Learned my lesson will go to dealer I can trust next time read more

I was in need of an oil change and fell for the $20 off coupon they offered (even with coupon still more expense than other places) and I am still paying for the mistake. I took my car up on a Saturday to get the oil changed. This place is no quick oil change. Even though I was next in line I had to wait 30 minutes for my turn (had time to eat lunch next door at McDonalds and come back). The guy working on my car brought showed me my cabin air filter and it was pretty dirty. I knew it hadn't been changed in a long time to I decided to be the crazy price and have them change it. That is where the trouble began. A couple of weeks later I open the hood of my car and noticed that I could see my cabin filter stick out! Not only had they not put the car back together properly but they had crammed the filter into the slot like it was the wrong size and it was all bent and twisted. I drove back to the location and told them that it wasn't put back together right and need them to try again. Two guys worked on it for 10 minutes neither knowing what to do. Finally they said it was fixed and apologized and sent me on my way. Wait there is more!!! Over the last several weeks I have noticed that my passenger floor and carpet were getting soaked after a rain. Literally puddles of water on my floor. I open the hood again and look at the firewall and notice that the plastic piece that goes over the cabin filter and serves as a drain for the windshield and hood was sticking out under the seal of the windshield allowing all the water that him my window to flow down right into my car. I took it to my regular repair shop who informed me that they couldn't get it back in properly because the piece was broke and they would have to order another one from the dealer. Cost for just the part, $85! Lesson learned...stay away from this Jiffy Lube. They only think they know how to do is try and sell you more stuff. 100 better options out there. read more

I cannot recommend against this business more. NEVER USE JUFFY LUBE for ANY SERVICES I had my oil changed 5/15/22 and they recommended a service of my rear differential. The service technician was having a world of trouble performing this service. I was in my vehicle and he was shaking it like crazy, the technician was cursing up a storm . The other technicians in the service center were loudly making fun of him in front of me for not being able to get the job done in a very inappropriate manner, questioning his manhood . This all left me feeling very uncomfortable of the job and that I was being ripped off (which I was). Following the service, the car broke down and was making a loud noise. My mechanic diagnosed a broken rear differential which needs to be replaced due to the faulty service performed by Jiffy Lube. They did not fill it with fluid appropriately and now its a very expensive repair, which Jiffy Lube is liable for. I have reached out to Jiffy Lube but have yet to hear back from anyone. I have sent multiple emails, called the cooperate office, left voicemails, and still have not even heard back from anyone. I will update my review if I ever hear back from Jiffy Lube, but so far am VERY disappointed that I trusted them to recommend and make proper repairs which they failed to do. All they need to do is accept the mistake and repair the car as any business would do when things like this happen. read more

When I get there to do a synthetic blend oil change they want $80 less the value of my Groupon which now makes the oil change 65. I go in today for a $60 oil change and they want to charge an ADDITIONAL $5 to vacuum the front floorboards. What a desperate cash grab. Guess who won't be back. Update, spoke with a Jiffy Lube rep just now. He explained some nonsense about speeding up the process... blah, blah. Unacceptable. The only reason I would go there was the customer service. You would be wiser to raise your rates by $5 and include the better service. Find it hard to believe you would risk customer goodwill for a few bucks. Hello. I went to one of your service locations on the 24th, to get a oil change for a friends Dodge Challenger. The service rep asked me what kind of oil do I need, and gave me the option between cheep oil, and synthetic. Since I'm driving a Prius I don't need fancy oil, but since I thought a Challenger would need good oil, I chose the more expensive on. I did not know that a Challenger only needs synthetic blend oil, and not the Signature Service Synthetic oil, but of course the rep didn't mentioned this. They also told me that she needs the cabin air filter replaced. When they showed it to me it looked indeed dirty. What they forgot to mention is that the filter cost $13 on Amazon, so they charged me $49.99 for it.That's outrageous. They also checked that they A:Vacuumed Floors- They didn't B: Checked wiper blades( They did, but said that they are ok. I went to advanced to get them replaced afterward, because when I drove it to Jiffy it rained lightly, and I wasn't able to wipe the rain off my window, but the rep didn't see a problem, so I got them replaced at Advanced Auto parts) C: Windshield washer fluid wasn't checked or refilled. I did this the next day. E: Wash Exterior window. They did not do this also. I'm very disappointed and mad, that they would rip me off like this. Driving in specifically requested only a tire rotation. I watch them start changing the oil - which I let them. I didn't ask for it! They tried then to offer another service I did not need or ask for. As I was sitting one customer left and came back due to an issue, and another had to go out and open her own oil cap. Oh, and while I was waiting they did not properly rotate the tires (it's an AWD), and I had the distinct pleasure of hearing the staff argue (complete with profanity) about lifting my car and how they were going to "f*ck it up." Upsell is the name of the game at pretty much all the oil change places I have been to, this Jiffy Lube location being no exception. They are friendly but do try to sell you better oil, wipers, air filters, tire rotation, etc. Just say "no" and move on. Usually get my oil changed at my local mechanic, however went here once, and next time I went to my local mechanic, I was informed that they used the wrong oil filter on my car. They also used a shorter bolt. Stole my bolt, and used a oil filter less than half the size of the proper one. You've got to be an idiot to go to this place. read more

The customer service was great and the guys seemed very willing to assist a single middle aged woman such as myself.I had my oil changed 6/21/18 with the synthetic oil that they recommended because it would last 5000 miles versus the standard 3000 miles. She tells me, albeit several weeks later, that while she was there, some of the guys flirted with her and she received a note from one of them, folded and stapled, that began "I know I am probably too old for you..." Definitely, they are TOO OLD and she is 17 and does not look like a 20 year old. When she told me about it, I contacted the establishment. I spoke to the "manager" Thomas Gordon who assured me that he was appalled by this and would check the video and get back with me ASAP. He did not. I had initially asked to speak with the owner and was told by the first employee that his name was Steve Allison (?) who lived in Georgia and they were not allowed to give out his contact info. Needless to say, they did not contact me in order to let me know their findings on the video, which leads me to believe they are protecting someone or maybe even the manager was the one who did this. Anyway, unprofessional behavior to anyone at any age, however, someone knew better or they would not have started out the note in such a way. Took car to a different garage only to discover that plug/cap was not secured and the car engine was in danger of seizing. When they took me outside to try and upsell me on things I already knew I didn't need (I do most work on my truck) they said I'd be done in 5-10 minutes. Which was great, fast service, don't get me wrong. But after they told me the ETA, I asked if it's gonna me $25-$30 and the guy showed me the paper with prices, which said $45 for a CONVENTIONAL oil change. Unbelievable. Just went for an oil change on my way home from work. When I went to pay, they handed me a list of things "wrong" with my car that was going to cost over $200 to get fixed. I had to take it into the dealership soon anyway, so I just said I would wait on it. Then the guy proceeded to tell me, "I would be SCARED to be driving your car right now. I would never drive it in that condition." When I did take it to the dealership they told me there was NOTHING wrong with my car.
