Car never moved once from parking spot
    Christian J.

Double charged me for adding dye to my ac They told me my Freon like chemical was empty for my ac and needed a recharge. Paid $250 Didn't fix problem at all Went down the road and found out I have zero leaks. Never needed a refill. Had an actuator door issue. They fixed it for $60 Tire kingdom charged me $250 and their next move was to open my dash up and replace my evaporator for like $1500 don't trust this place. They just replace stuff hoping it's fixed. While generating profit for themselves

Do yourself a favor & find some place more reliable & reputable for your automotive needs, unless you are determined to give your money to folks who are either dishonest or incompetent or a combination of both & who will, more likely than not, create more problems & issues than address & rectify them. On May 2nd, I entered Tire Kingdom due to my tire pressure sensor repeatedly lighting up even though it didn't appear as if I was losing air. A Sales Associate by the name of Bill House* stated that he couldn't even bother examining my tires due to the fact that "they were from all the way back in 2015" & recommended that I purchase a set of 4 new tires, which I agreed to, as I had a long trip planned & felt it was better to be safe than sorry. Upon paying for my new tires after they were installed & getting set to drive home, I immediately noticed that the tire pressure sensor was still on & brought it to the Sales Associate's attention, whereby he stated that it would reset once I drove a few miles. From that day forward, for the next 3 months, my tire pressure sensor would still periodically light up as soon as I would drive between 20-30 highway miles, even though my BRAND NEW tires were not losing air. Needing an oil change & with a 10 hour drive to Alabama coming up, I decided to head back to Tire Kingdom yesterday (August 15th) to have them take care of the oil change & to rectify whatever the issue was with my tire pressure sensor. A Sales Associate by the name of Garrett Wilcox* informed me that one of my tire pressure sensors needed replacing, which I agreed to & a couple of hours & a couple of hundred dollars later, I drove away & headed over a few blocks to Pinch A Penny to pick up some pool supplies. Upon exiting Pinch A Penny, I attempted to engage my remote starter (which was in perfect working condition prior to my vehicle being in the care of the staff of Tire Kingdom) only to discover that it was disabled/rendered inoperable. When I immediately returned to Tire Kingdom & brought this to Garrett Wilcox's attention, he basically acted as if a device known as a "remote starter" was a complete foreign concept to him & then shrugged his shoulders & reacted as if I was speaking a language other than English. With a ton of errands still to run & no time to engage in a prolonged dispute, I left Tire Kingdom with the intention to fight on another day. Fast forward to this afternoon (August 16th)...........whilst driving on 275 South on my way to a doctor's appointment in Bradenton to have post surgical stitches in my hand removed, lo & behold...........MY TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR LIT UP ON MY DASH & STAYED ON FOR THE ENTIRE DRIVE. So, in conclusion, if you have ANY automotive needs whatsoever, do yourself a HUMONGOUS favor & just drive right past Tire Kingdom on Seminole Blvd & don't even consider wasting one second of your time or one cent of your money. *Names as per Tire Kingdom Final Bills - Invoices Update as of 08-18-22: I forgot to also mention that these wizards lost or stole the Winchester valve stem cap from my passenger side rear tire, because........of course they would.

Tire kingdom trying to scam me for 1000$ worth of stuff I did not need
    Brian S.

I visited there shop 2/26/19 at 5:36 pm after I blew a rear right brake line on my 2012 dodge grand caravan. They told me that I needed 1000$ dollars worth of stuff I did not need. They actually lied to my face and said without a new master cylinder and brake boster my brakes would not work. End of story they wanted to charge me 1,158.51 When I took It down the street to an unamed shop They fixed it in an hour for 136.19 and said I was Bieng scamed...

DO NOT USE! I cannot…read morefigure out why 50% of the mechanics feel the need to completely RIP OFF their customers instead of raising their rates. I do not have a fleet of cars and I have NEVER shopped for a mechanic based on their hourly rate. Their hourly rate is MEANINGLESS because a crappy/dishonest mechanic will end up costing your more in the end. 1) Something in my engine was chirping and my AC was occasionally not blowing cold. I was quoted $1400 plus tax (14% with them!) for an AC compressor. The repair bill would have minimally been $1652 for parts, labor, diagnosis. I was told the compressor had a known issue and I was being given a better compressor (SKETCHY). I purchased a NEW compressor kit for $200 and my regular mechanic charged me for 4 hours of labor (see attached invoice). There is no algorithm that justifies their quote, but wait... 2) They misdiagnosed the repair. This is forgivable but SKETCHY. I have tolerance for mistakes, but the incorrect paid ($56) diagnosis (guess?) came across as lazy and/or incompetent (coupled with the insane quote). The AC compressor was FINE (known issue my butt). My idler pulley was missing, the serpentine belt was loose. Their diagnosis burned me for $676 (uber, diagnosis , unneeded repair). 3) They charge 14% sales tax. Yes right. Sales tax is 7%. They conveniently omit the % on the bill knowing most people will not question it. This is a grimy greasy way to make money. I have seen other shops pad fees and taxes that are unnecessary and irrelevant.

Despite that I decided to take my 2009 Toyota Matrix for an oil change, tire rotation, and AC recharge. I agreed to an AC diagnostic fee of $139.95, with no issues found, and an AC recharge fee of $145.00. Three days later I took the car for a ride to check the AC function. After an hour, the AC started blowing warm air again. On top of that, a hubcap fell off because the person who did the tire rotation did not reinstall them properly. I took the car back to Hobson's to find out what was wrong since he had just diagnosed the Air Conditioner during my first visit. Mr. Hobson said the AC compressor was faulty and needed replacement. I'm not sure why the diagnostics did not find this issue, but I had him replace it. After the compressor was replaced I left the facility only to find the horn was not working so I immediately returned to Hobson's to get that fixed. This raised major concerns about workmanship. Finally, a short week later, the vehicle overheated on a dangerously busy bridge due to a failed compressor pulley and broken fan belt. When this happened, I did not have the car towed back to Hobson's for him to fix it due to a lack of trust and the poor workmanship Mr. Hobson and his staff performed during two prior visits. I decided to take the car to a different mechanic who was highly recommended. This mechanic found the issue with the new compressor was due to two bolts on the compressor head coming loose and wedging into the fan belt pulley causing the pulley to stop turning and belt breakage, which lead to overheating and coil pack damage. This was because Hobson's replaced my compressor with a cheap Chinese part for which he charged $720.00. Similar compressors are available for under $175.00 on Amazon: AC Compressor Fit for Corolla 2009-2010 1.8L L4, Matrix 2009-2010, Matrix 2012-2012, xD 2008-2014, A/C Air Conditioning Compressors with Clutch Replace for 8831002370, 8831002450. A conversation with Mr. Hobson after the incident ended without compromise or a refund offer, as Mr. Hobson insisted that I should have given him a third chance to fix the AC correctly. More importantly, he ignored the poor service I received despite the pledge in his ad to, "only do necessary work, we never overcharge, and we guarantee the job will be done right." I did take the defective part back to Hobson's hoping Mr. Hobson would refund me the money I paid for the part. He did not. What he did was get me a new compressor that is now my responsibility to sell somewhere to try and recoup part of my loss. If it were me, I would have refunded the client the cost of the bad part, in my case, $720.00. You can use Hobson's for your car repairs if you choose. Please understand the service has gone downhill and the prices are going up. In addition, Mr. Hobson does not honor his pledge to guarantee the job will be done right.
