I drive back and forth from California to Nevada frequently. I stopped by this location after getting service at a California Jiffy Lube last week, because I noticed that part of the underside of my car was cracked and hanging down, almost hitting the road. I had driven up the hill like that without realizing it, and was concerned that driving home in that state might be dangerous or cause serious damage to my car. Nevan very kindly inspected the underside of my car and assured me that it was the skid plate that very had cracked and likely lost a few screws. He said I should be perfectly safe driving it back to the Jiffy Lube in California. I was worried that I might have dropped some fluids on the freeway and never noticed, so he checked the coolant and oil levels to make sure I was safe driving home. I'm so grateful to Nevan for setting my mind at ease. Thank you so much! I will definitely come back here for an oil change when I need one next. read more

I was pleasantly surprised going in for a lyft inspection that it was 60% cheaper than it was 3 years ago... always double check b4 u leave that everything is correctly filled out. I went at 820 am. There was already 4 ahead of me. I was out in an hours time of arrival. Which is fine when u do a walk-in. Polite. And fast. Did Jiffy Lube on Prater the man who does the smog for the life of me I cannot remember his name but he was absolutely phenomenal. I ran into him when I was getting some coolant for my car at AutoZone and I needed to get my car smogged I saw his uniform and asked him how much they charge and he told me and I said that I couldn't afford that much but thank you very much and he turned around and discounted it where I was able to afford it he also took my coolant over to the shop and added it to my car and told me what the problem could possibly be and turned out that he was right. So far so good. I've been here several times for some basic car upkeep. Staff has been courteous and quick. Waiting room is convenient, with water, restroom, soda vending machime, and TV and magazines available. They also have chairs outside for al fresco waiting. After getting an oil change and tire rotation from them a few minutes down the road the engine skid plate fell down turns out the skid plate only had 2 of the 9 bolts that the car had before the oil change, very disappointed i will never visit and will not recommend to anyone hopefully car doesn't blow up also read more

needed to get an oil change really bad as I have been driving from California to Nevada frequently to take care of my mom. Julian @Jiffy Lube got me a next day appointment. They were fully staffed with several people working on my car at once: Shelby, joseph, julian, Mario and Nevin. They changed the oil/oil filter, topped off my coolant and also told me the services that I need to do next time when I can afford it. They also cleaned my car windows and vacuumed inside my car. All staff were very friendly, knowledgeable of their job, quick and thorough. Very professional! I really appreciate that Julian recommended an auto shop to take care of my transmission/tune up on my car; services that Jiffy Lube does not perform at their shop, so it's nice to get a reputable referral. After waiting two hours with only one car ahead of me, I was told that my drain plug was put on too tight and was stripped from the last Jiffy Lube location I went to in Carson City. I asked if he was sure he couldn't get it off and he told me that I needed to go back to the other location. I ended up going to the location on Keystone in Reno and they had no issue getting the drain plug off and told me it was not stripped and there was absolutely no issue. I would avoid this location at all costs. Employees appear to not know what they are doing, high on drugs and can't focus on a task, and are just not people I would trust to pump gas in my truck let alone change my oil or work on my truck. read more

I found out this place doesn't work on Hyundai transmissions, but since it was already here I went ahead and had them do an oil change. It was fast an professional. I have taken all my cars to this location for eight years. I used to drive 60,000 miles a year for work and was here often. They are always fair and efficient as well as being honest and kind. Josh is an amazing manager and the previous manager Steve was great too. I won't go anywhere else. They are less expensive than the dealer too. Last night I met the best tech of all, Carl D. Yesterday I had the oil changed at this station. Very unhappy with service or lack of. I personally watched the complete process. First, the facility is filthy, both in the shop and in the waiting area. No mask in use by anyone. Second, most of the stuff that is supposed to be included was not done. Windows were not washed, car was not vacuumed, air filter was not checked, wipers were not checked, tires were not checked. Basically they drained and changed the oil and filter, collected my money and sent me on my way. The only one that seemed to know what they were doing was the pit person. read more

I didn't even get to get an oil change. The doors close at 6, but I called ahead saying I'd be in around 5:40 and if it was okay. The individual on the phone confirmed that it was okay. I overestimated on time because I showed up around 5:20. One employee tilted his head back and rolled his eyes as I pulled in. Another employee came out and said that they stopped taking cars because they already had 2 in the bay. I went to this Jiffy Lube for just an oil change. Of course, I was upgraded to getting a radiator flush as well. Turned out my intake hose was broken, and I was sent next door to find a part. I had coupons and didn't get to use them. I contacted someone and was told it was too late. My bill was over $300, I would like to think the technicians would ask if we would like to use any coupons. We happened to stop by this Jiffy Lube when we were in the area. Even though the wait was 45 min the Sunday we were there. It was fine because they were efficient. The staff begun the checkin process while we were in line. By the time we were at the garage the team did our oil change then they showed and recommended us to change the cabin and air filters in the future. It's been an hour but i finally have my car in the bay to get an oil change. Good reviews and the manager is real nice since I had an hour listening to him deal with customers; but it's still been an hour before they got started on my oil change. As long as you aren't in a hurry this is a real friendly shop. There were several vehicles ahead of me; but I will return just based off of the demeanor of the staff and the kind and fairness of the manager. I'm only taking off one star bc the wait. The price is similar to the speedy wait in your car oil change places. My camaro requires a min of a synthetic blend and an extra 6th quart. So the price will be on the premium price side. I not knocking the price or service just the wait. Will return. When I went to check out I payed with my USAA card and Troy (the manager) asked if I was a veteran which I'm an Army Vet; and he gave me a 10% veteran discount. Ok I wish I could give another half star back. The reviews of the staff is what I drove to sparks in the first place to get my oil changed here. I'm glad I took the time to pick a friendly shop. I took my car to the dealership few weeks previously and knew I had service recommendations for transmission fluid replacement, front and rear differential fluid since I was at 75k miles with dark fluid. I knew Jiffy Lube offered services based on manufactures recommendations. I also knew my oil change was due. I took my car to the prater location for my oil change. It was ten minutes to closing. I was pleased they reminded me about these fluid replacements and agreed to the work being done. Josh was awesome explaining every step and let me know it's a lengthier service. He was happy to have my business even if that meant staying past closing. He could of blown me off saying we are closing up, come back tomorrow but he went above and beyond by staying one hour after closing with another employee to service my car. They never complained about the extra work at closing, happy to answer my questions as I watched them work and made me feel like I made a great choice. After the service was done, Josh took the time to show me under the engine while topping off my fluids. Josh requested I check in with within a few days to ensure the transmission fluid replacement was issue free. That's awesome followup! I used a 15% off coupon and felt good about not paying a pricey mechanic. Jiffy Lube doesn't charge for labor time and this took one hour with two emoloyees. read more
