Bulletproof Engine Destroyed, Accountability Dodged This Jiffy Lube drained the oil from my Toyota Tundra V8 and never refilled it. Their own video confirmed it. That negligence destroyed a perfectly maintained engine and left me with ~$12,000 in written estimates from every reputable shop. Their response? Two insulting "options": * a $5,000 engine replacement through Vern's Auto Shop in Seguin -- with zero written estimate, zero warranty details, zero documentation; or * $6,000 to walk away and stop bothering them. Both were literally "take it or leave it," even after every legitimate mechanic told me $5k wouldn't cover labor, much less a warranted engine. The Regional Manager later promised three written estimates from reputable auto centers, emailed saying he'd have them "in a few days," then vanished. Corporate got involved, and the District Manager resurfaced only to repeat the same undocumented offers -- still no written estimate from Vern's, still no good‑faith effort, still no accountability. Months of stonewalling, no documentation, and no attempt to restore my vehicle have left me with no choice but to pursue formal remedies. This shop is absolutely horrible, the did a simple tire rotation on my vehicle and after the rotation there was a non stop rhythmic wobbling sound on my front passenger tire, had to go to a mechanic to tell me the wheel was placed on entirely wrong, and when i went back they claimed it couldn't have possible been from them. read more

Beware, these folks are a master of the up-charge. My wife recently went into Jiffy Lube on Singing Oaks Drive in Spring Branch. Her experience was totally disgusting. Well, The oil change was good enough, but the rest of the experience was terribly inappropriate. First the tech brought out the cabin air filter to how her a little dust around the perimeter. She had to remind them that they had just replaced it 3000 miles ago, it was fine Then he came out and told her that the battery cable were corroded. Luckily she called me for advice. Asked if i could go get my car wash across the street and keep my spot in line and was told "Yeah Sure". Today was the last day I will use Jiffy Lube for anything ever again. So, in the last 2yrs they have managed to round my bolt on my oil pan on my truck, they broke my dad's glove box trying to get the cabin air filter out (& didn't tell him, he found out a week later opening it to get the manual out), they busted a bottom cover on my other car...Today, they skipped me TWICE while waiting for an inspection. They have zero method of tracking cars as they pull in & have them park...so I'm done. You only reimbursed me the oil change the day you broke the cover & not the cost of the $450 cover because I didn't let you install it...why would I? You guys can't do anything right read more

I took my car to this Jiffy Lube and a state inspection. They were very busy so I sat patiently in the store and witnessed several people getting a surprise at the counter. The surprise was all sorts of additional service their car or truck "needed". High on the list were various fluid changes and brakes. Lots and lots of brakes. Then it was my turn. Besides the inspection and oil change, my car needed new brakes in the rear (wear was down to 3mm of pad and in the red danger area and fronts were in the yellow. According to JL, you need to change the rotors with the pads so somewhere near $900. They recommended doing the fronts with the rears since they were just behind in wear. Also recommended was front differential fluid, coolant top-off, a cabin filter and wipers. I changed the wiper exactly 5 days before my trip to JL - not needed. The front differential fluid should be changed by Toyota and not for another 30,000 miles - not needed. I decided to change my own cabin filter and saved $30. The real point of this review is I decided that the car should be taken to a Toyota dealer for the full mileage interval service but I had them look at the brakes since JF flagged them. The rear had 8 mm of pad left and the front had 7 mm. The Toyota certified master mechanic said the brakes, in no possible way, needed to be changed. Nor should the front differential fluid until it is time. The lesson is it seems to me either JL are paying their employees on commission or are getting some sort of benefit by pushing services that are not needed or required. But this isn't new - go read the other reviews here. Lots and lots of fabricated overselling. I will be finding a more reputable, trustworthy place to get car service done. read more

We have been to this location several times now for oil changes on both our vehicles. They are friendly, efficient, and always explain things thoroughly. Prices are average, but I often receive coupons from the email blasts so definitely take advantage of the discounts. Highly recommend this place for a quick and honest oil change. read more

Complete rip-off, went there for a $7.00 safety inspection, end up paying $28.47 (including taxes) due to supposedly a couple of fused mini light bulbs that cost $6.49 for 2 but they charged me $15.99 for each. I was at Discount Tire and decided to get the annual car inspection next door at Jiffy Lube. I don't use Jiffy Lube as they are notorious for trying to upsell you every time you come in. However, I didn't think they would do that for an inspection. I drove up to the entrance, and a tech came out to see what I needed. I told him I was just coming in for an inspection. He said OK, park in the lot. Just as I got stopped in my parking space, the tech showed up. He asked for the insurance card and keys as he had to drive the car to check the brakes. I gave him those things and went inside to wait. After about a 20 minute wait, he came in looking for me and was holding an air filter and a cabin air filter. I thought "here comes the upsell". He said the air filter looks brand new (I had just changed it) but the cabin filter needed to be changed. I asked him "how much", and he said $66. So for a $7 state inspection, they were going to get the ticket up to over $70. Since I can buy and install one myself for less than $20, I told him maybe next time. Since I came in for an inspection, what the heck are they doing checking those things? Will I return? Not for an oil change, but maybe for another state inspection. You just have to be ready to say "NO" to their upsell! read more

3 rd time I brought in pick up to this location Paid for a new cabin filter on last visit. When I was leaving I noticed the glove box door was off no new cabin filter installed. Everyone apologized "give us 5 minutes and we will get put in" On my visit today they bring out cabin filter look how dirty it is needs to be replaced. I have not had a filter get so dirty in two months! Appears they put the old filter back instead of replacing new. I'm done. I have had issues in the past at other locations it appears it's just a jiffy lube issue not just a location issue. read more

Upsell Alert!!!! I went in for a simple vehicle inspection on 01-23-2023. Dropped off the vehicle, the jiffy Lube inspector took it for a drive and all was well. The manager (small white guy with short light brown hair) approached me saying "hey your windshield wipers on the front is a inch torn and the one on the back is a bit torn too". He proceeded to say my lights could fail me (due to a dark tint). Keep in mind, I've never had this problem before while getting my inspection. This manager actually said, "if you buy the windshield wipers, we will look another way on the lights" So basically he was saying if I buy the windshield wipers that he will pass my vehicle inspection. I declined the windshield wipers and immediately the manager literally yelled "FAIL" So he was going to allow a FAILED inspection in his own terms, if I bought windshield wipers. This guy is a joke. Looks like anybody could run a jiffy Lube these days. I literally took it down the road and it passed with no issues. I will never go back to this jiffy lube. I hope he has a great day though. After they change oil on my Toyota 4Runner I find oil leaking from oil filter I went back to them and suggested to fix the problem. Before they even looked and see The guy in charge told me Must Be A Problem With The Car After tightening the filter and wiping the oil everything was fine I will never going back to the place Very unprofessional people. read more

Jiffy Lube Spring Branch TX This business failed to tighten a engine filter. Our Suv transmission started acting up. After driving to the dealership we found that JIFFY Lube caused the issue. We went to jiffylube and they did not care and refuses to refund the $59 repair or the oil change. Mistakes happen but rude customer service is unforgivable. I went in for an oil change and it took 2 hours. one hour wait time since it was a busy time, fine, but another hour for the oil change!? i have a Toyota 4runner and when I asked if there's an issue why it was taking so long they kept saying this vehicle has a heavy skid plate, so they're still trying to put it back on, lots of screws and all. Umm, it's NEVER taken an hour once my car was in the bay, at any other oil change facility, to do a simple oil change. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this location. Absolutely slowest and laziest Oil Change stop I've ever seen! These guys are walking around smoking vapes, chatting, picking up and setting down the same object just to look busy. I have been sitting in front of a open bay now for coming up on 35 min just to get into a bay and when I arrived I was the only one waiting. They have a staff of so far I have counted 5-6 guys who are unbelievably dragging feet. I dont know why I keep coming back here. Theres an issue every time. Today I sat for 1.5 hours to get an inspection and oil change. I saw 2 people pull up and get service before me. After the 3rd vehicle pulled in and they had it pull into a bay that had been empty for 30 minutes I finally had enough. The guys said, sorry I didnt know. Now this is the same guy that I told what I needed when I pulled in. This happens just about every time I come in, for the last 3 years. I wont be coming back. So frustrating. read more

Took my truck here for an oil and fuel filter change. Went on a Sunday and it wasn't busy at all. The service manager was courteous and prompt. The price was average for my diesel truck, and they finished the work in under an hour. The one thing was was unhappy with while they did place safety covers over the front quarter panel while doing the work, somehow they still managed to leave oily handprints all over the side of the truck, hood, steering wheel, and door. They need to either be more careful, or ensure they clean off their handprints when they are done. read more

Horrible experience went in for an oil change and inspection they removed my ac and oil filter to show me but when they re- installed them they did it incorrectly causing my AC to not work correctly. The oil filter caused a leak that wasn't there before I l took it to them. I took my car back to them two times they then Tried to charge me $1400 to repair their mistake. Took my car to a different mechanic company who was amazing who repaired the damage jiffy lube did to my car. Car no longer leaks from the filter (was the filter that caused leak) jiffy lube refuses to pay for their mistakes they did to my car. read more

Serviced car in October2019-oil change and air filter replacement. Took car to 15 min oil last week to get state inspection and found out there was NO AIR FILTER IN THE CAR. Called Jiffy Lube and got an inept Jimmy who said he was the assistant manager. I gave him my number to pull up my service, he detailed what I spent money on in October 2019. I explained how we found that there was no air filter in the car when we took the car in this past week. Basically called me a liar. I do have a receipt showing the filter was missing upon inspection. I do not waste time on people that are rude and do not work to resolve a situation but rather escalate it. I asked that Jimmy have his manager call me. I am still waiting. I would say the forgotten air filter was a mistake. The rudeness deliberate. No resolution and management has been unresponsive. Jimmy- I hope your manager reads this and takes corrective action. To your manager- I hope you realize that fair and honest customer service pays tenfold in the future. Actually visited this location 2 days in a row. Can't speak for any of their other services, but had them do state inspection on two different vehicles and I was in out of there in a "Jiffy"! Both days greeted promptly and service took no longer than 20 minutes. Both times technicians were courteous and professional. Arrival times on both days were before 10 am and there were other customers being serviced. Will definitely use them in the future for state inspections. Won't be needing any other services at this time as all oil changes are done ourselves. Shop was very clean and seemed well organized and maintained. Returned today 12/23/19. Check in a little slower, but still got in and out without difficulty. Will continue to use them for inspection needs. read more

Needed an inspection for my truck. Arrived at Jiffy Lube (oxymoron) and found two cars in the four bays and one guy waiting. They (service guy) told me to park and they would get to me right away. Wondered why the guy was waiting if they were going to get to me right away. Well, then the two cars in the bays left and now all four bays are open. Two guys were standing outside the building talking and laughing. One guy was on his cell phone and walking in and out the bays. The guy next to me was getting pissed and I was wondering what was going on. Then the guy next to me waved someone over who was an inside guy, his shirt was not like the other crew. He came out and talked to the guy and went back in. We both sat there. Finally the "inside guy" came out and drove the guy next to me car in one of the bays. Still three empty bays and four guys standing around. With that I just cranked up and left. Total time there was 20 minutes with two to four bays open. Must have been everyone's break time.
