Simple problems apparently require another person who wasn't there for another hour for an inspection... will not be going back

I went in for a simple inspection for registration and they tried to tell me all of my tires were dry rotted and would fail inspection. I said where? And then he pointed to literally nothing on the all the tires one by one and moved really fast and wouldn't make eye contact and was talking really soft then tried to pitch me on buying their tires. I live with a mechanic of 18 years who double checked my tires before I went to jiffy lube and said they were good to go not to mention all of them are less than 2 years old. This place doesn't even deserve one star. The short guy with the pubescent beard had an attitude. It was 4:45pm and he said they couldn't do a state inspection due to one of the employees leaving early. Will never even think about going there again. read more

Went for a normal inspection and I have been there in the past with not too many issues besides the higher prices. I was told today by I guess "the head boss " that all tires were dry rotten and wouldn't be able to pass inspection!. This is simply inaccurate and I simply believe an alternative motive was there. I was told it would be 30 to 45 min for an oil change. I was the 5th car in line. Two hours later and I am still here!!! NOTHING JIFFY about this place. They don't take appointment so you are at their mercy. The lady at the front was very nice but Nobody should have 2 wait (still waiting) over 2 hours (going on 2 hours and 40 minutes) for a regular oil change. Since they want to delete my review I will report them to the BBB. I'll also repost as many times as needed. My Jeep was passed down to me by my father who passed away last summer. I have all records saved and proof it's been taken well care of...up until Jiffy Lube. Will NEVER trust this place with my Jeep again. BEWARE...I just went in for my scheduled oil change (on time and thank god I didn't listen to the mechanic when he said I could push it another 1000 miles ) and found out my oil was completely empty. Among many other issues. Like, rear diff BLACK, transmission fluid BLACK, power steering BURNT....kinda weird how my receipt states my 4WD Jeep doesn't have a transfer case....yet they marked my rear and front diff as OK...and now it's black...along with all other fluids and dangerously low coolant. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say y'all never even changed my oil or checked any of the fluids. read more

Only giving these people a 2 because when i brung in my challenger, i was in and out, however they were pushy trying to get me to purchase other things.. which i feel is only done to young females, i felt they thought i was clueless on my car. Also, 3 days ago, we brung in my camero this time to get an oil change, we were in and out.. BUT They charged us and didn't change the oil. My husband went back there.. they again..'changed the oil' but not once did the manager or anyone apologize for they're mishap. read more

I took my car to get oil change, inspection and tires rotated. After job was complete I paid and left. Driving slow because ir sounded like I was driving on grated pavement. I stopped and got out and saw that they did not tighten down the lug nuts at all they were just barely on to the point I could turn them. I don't need to tell you if I had picked up speed I could have totally lost control of my car when the tires fell off. They offered 50 percent on next service. They should have refunded visit. This location is super quick, convenient and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly! We were in and out of there for an oil change in ten minutes MAX! Make sure you look up for coupons online for services ahead of time, as it is a little pricey depending how much oil your car needs. read more

They failed my truck on safety inspection. Told me my tires were too worn and tried to convince me to buy new ones. Told them absolutely not, took it to the dealership and they told me the tires had plenty of tread and passed my safety inspection. This place is absolute trash and shady. read more

HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! I had a $38 groupon for an oil change and upgraded to synthetic on a 4 cylinder car that requires 4 qts of oil. Service was slow. I was in the only car there and it took them 45 minutes. The service personnel couldn't figure out the register and had to call another office and do some troubleshooting over the phone. Initially I paid a $20 upcharge for the synthetic oil but after the conversation with the person on the phone, somehow I still owed an additional $36. In the end I paid $94 for slow service and an oil change on a 4 cylinder. I was robbed read more

Came in for service on 10/9 the over torqued tires on previous rotation. They said was nothing they could do they had been on there a long time. Pulled their record and showed them it had only been 8500 miles and they were responsible to get them off. I was dealing with the Assistant Manager Jon. The tech who was working on the car said "I don't give a f_*+! I'll break all that shit off!" The only reason they get two stars is I asked to speak to the actual store manager who left a meeting immediately returned to the store dealt with the employee and on this return visit to redeem my free oil change(full synthetic) I heard the other employees saying that's the customer who got XYZ fired. read more

Very friendly staff. Quick inspection even when they are busy. There is an outdoor picnic area. They care for the outside appearance of their building. (Can't say that about all Spring Lake businesses) It is a short walk down one side of Bragg Blvd to get food as well(don't try to cross bragg blvd on foot. you will get hit by a car) read more

Repeatedly received friendly, timely, and reliable service after multiple years. I have worked with nearly a dozen different employees over time, and all of them have been polite and respectful to both me and my wife. I have never been pressured to do any service I did not explicitly ask for, and they always offer their coupons and discounts (rather than charge more to customers who don't know about deals). read more

Never thought I would take the time out to write a review of an oil change place but this particular Jiffy Lube left an impression. First and most importantly the staff was on it. They were motivated and efficient. They were upfront, direct, and forthcoming with what various services cost and started work right away after ascertaining what I wanted. They also give a very generous military discount. They moved with a sense of urgency and got me in and out in about 15-20 minutes and there were 3-5 other customers there as well. They didn't try to up sell me on garbage and overpriced services that I know I don't need which I look at as an absolute plus. Overall I just walked out feeling like I got good and fast service at a fair price which is rare for these types of places. I will be living in the area for the next 4 years and plan on taking my families two cars to this location anytime we need an oil change as long as they stay this great. read more

Typically I have good service at this location, as I have been here a few times in the last six months or so. Today I had a very different experience. One of the employees there, Amber, was incredibly rude and provided some of the worst customer service I've seen in a while. It was very discouraging for someone who has been a long time customer. If you take you car to be inspected, you expect the staff to be capable. You expect them to find and identify problems, and then resolve them. On April 30th I took my car to be inspected. The young lady could not find the On Board Diagnostic connector, and could not complete the inspection. She asked me where the OBD was, and I thought to myself, "is that not your job and why I am paying you?" She then alluded to: that I took the OBD out, because some wires were hanging down. This came about when my son put in an AC Convertor. But no he did not take it out. Went home did a 30 second google search, found a youtube video, and found the OBD was in a panel behind the cigarette lighter. Why the jiffylube technician, could not have done this is beyond me. An 8 hour course, at the local community college, may make you certified to do "government inspections," but it does not make you an automotive service professional. As evidenced by the lack of initiative by the "state certified inspector." Further, she mentioned my taillights were tinted. They are not, but I showed them to a Spring Lake policeman who arched his eyebrow in skepticism and said they were: "fine," but if the inspector had a problem, I should just put in some brighter bulbs. Which I did. Fast forward, I return on Sunday the 14th. The same young lady is working. I told the young man who greeted me I had been in before, and explained where the OBD connector was. The vehicle passed the emissions portion of the test. But she failed me again. As the young man who checked me out stated, "it was for tinted tail lights." They did not charge me. So, I suspect that the young lady's vindictiveness was free. That perhaps it came from some self perceived humiliation because she could not locate the part to do the inspection, and a customer had to find it for her. When I got home I found that the invoice did not match the vehicle inspection report, that she included brake lights and turn signals. Now, this was a bulb issue, would one not expect that an automotive service center, would explain the issues to me and offer to replace the bulbs? I have four vehicles and I always use them for my vehicle inspections. I even had my Explorer done at the same location last year with no issues and no poor attitude. So I summarize this issue as a particular employee problem, and not a JIffy Lube problem. However, if the "technician," is continued to be employed there then it does become a Jiffy Lube problem. read more

The staff was very helpful, friendly and very honest. Along with giving me a discounted oil change they ran a diagnostic study on my car since the 'check engine' light was on. They initially quoted me $75-150 for a brake sensor including labor. After I gave them the ok to repair the needed part, they actually found out that it was only a blown fuse and my car had a spare. They then advised me that there was not going to be a hefty charge and they fixed the problem. I will definitely be back here for my next service and highly recommend this location. read more

In my opinion, the Spring Lake facility is the best Jiffy Lube location to take your vehicle for service or inspection. Techs are always friendly, helpful and careful to details; service is fast, complete and reliably consistent. The same service at the local Nissan dealership takes four hours, even with an appointment, and the cost of the service is worth not having to spend your day at vehicle maintenance. Upon my permanent change of station to Pope, I needed to get an oil change after driving all the way from WI. I paid for a full synthetic, and oil filter change. Normally, if one pays for a service, they expect honesty and for the job to be done right. This was not the case. A full synthetic oil change should last (according to sticker and proper care) 7500mi. I had my oil changed in early August of this year. I noticed my engine was squeaking and sounding incredibly rough. I drive a 2011 Equinox, and keep it in excellent condition, so this was new. Lo and behold this Jiffy Lube location failed to add ANY oil back in. This was after driving my vehicle for about 6000mi DRY. Terrible experience, terrible service. I waited over an hour that day getting my oil changed. I added in 4qts of oil, and don't even want to know the damage that their lack of work ethic or attention to detail caused.
