I would have giving five stars but I am not a fan and Jiffy Lube is not as good as it gets. Jiffy Lube is a great cheap place to get your car, truck or tin man oil changed. The customer service is usually pretty good and professional. I have taken my vehicle to Jiffy lube in the past. Jiffy Lube it's like the ghetto of all oil centers just above Ray-Ray alley garage. They are a bit classier than Ray-Ray them and you do get a receipt. I recommend Jiffy Lube for your next older model vehicle and your older model man oil change. They have low prices that won't dry your wallet like the professional guys who make you sign a prenuptial agreement before an oil change. He also helped me to find the best deal. It is not the closest Jiffy Lube to where I live, but it's definitely worth driving a little further for their great and quick service! Had a groupon here for an oil change and tire rotation. Service was average and just like most of the "quick change" car service locations they try and sell you everything under the sun for a ridiculous price, but if you're looking for a solid oil change with a friendly staff and an average wait I'd recommend this place. I've been to this location in the past and had decent service. That's why I gave the 2 stars. I guess the Sunday shift I saw yesterday is the C team though. I arrived at bay 2 with no one in it and was told the one car in front of me in bay 1 needed extra work and it would be 20 minutes before they got to my car. I said that I'd leave it there and walk to get something to eat. When I returned 25 minutes later my car was parked off to the side and the car ahead of me was still in bay 1 and another car was in bay 2 so I assumed mine was complete. As I go in to pay they pull my car up to bay 1. So somewhere along the way I got skipped over and try hadn't even started my car. None of the 3 people working offered any explanation or apology. They just acted like little kids that had been caught doing something wrong. read more

I had never taken in my car for routine servicing before (thanks Dad for enabling me to be car illiterate), so I really wasn't sure what to expect. I knew that I was supposed to get an oil change and just wanted someone to look at the tires and fluid levels and make sure everything was running smoothly. I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed by the service I received here! Everyone was very friendly and professional from the moment I drove my car up. Best of all, they explained the different types of maintenance services I could choose to do and when to do them, but without pressuring me whatsoever. I thought the prices were very reasonable as well. Oh and they even vacuum out your car for you! I'm writing this reading ONE vehicle that I've taken in for servicing. Upon a whim, thinking I needed to have my oil changed, the PERFORM SERVICE light NOT appearing as of yet on my car, I took my car in for an oil change. Everything seemed great. The guys were nice, funny and my car was in and out in a jiffy lube moment. I was running an errand and there was a guy standing on the corner with a sign saying there was $10.00 off service. I don't think I was given the $10 off, but whatever. My brake fluid was checked, oil changed, wiper fluids filled, transmission fluid checked and my steering wheel fluid was also checked. I paid, and was good go to. A few weeks later, PERFORM SERVICE light appeared. I forgot to ask them to reset it. Then, my OIL LIGHT CAME ON! WTheck! Was it because I left the PERFORM SERVICE light on too long? I called a "reliable" mechanic found on Yelp, only to be told I had to leave my car for several hours JUST TO REMOVE THE PERFORM SERVICE LIGHT! WHAT? When I brought up the oil light, then I was told in a run around way, DON'T BOTHER TO BRING YOUR CAR IN AND FIND ANOTHER MECHANIC, yada, yada, yada. So, I was left still trying to find a mechanic to help me. I do have another car to service, that needs a lot, but anyway a whole other story. I needed my lights adjusted on this car, so I found a body shop where I had body work done on my car, who KINDLY reset my PERFORM SERVICE IN A FEW MINUTES and adjusted my lights, but I was on my own for the oil light. I took my car back to Jiffy Lube to ask if they could check to see if a cap or something came off or something simple had happened via their oil change that could easily be remedied. They obliged even though they were just past closing time. I learned about what was what in the engine area. My daddy was a mechanic, so I know a tiny bit about cars. I was told it could be an oil sensor. So, I'm going with that. I found that at least one of the techs at Jiffy Lube had gone to school and he was the person who mentioned this to me. He even wrote it down for me. So, I will try to find another mechanic to replace the sensor or at least mention this as a possible reason and see how it goes. The oil light hasn't come back on since. However, I am baffled, is there a GREEN oil light? I've never heard of such a thing. I've been asked, "Is it a red oil light?" What other color OIL LIGHT IS THERE BUT RED? read more

I had just come from another Jiffy Lube location(5:30pm) where I went in asking for replacement light for left brake & turn signal. Staff said, yes, they'd do it. I told them to go ahead and do oil change (though I didn't really need one). After they did the oil change they told me they couldn't do the light replacement as they were out of the correct socket. I was dismayed as that was the only reason I came In and they should have told me they couldn't replace the light before doing the oil change. They nonchalantly said..."oh, sorry. nothing I can do about it." I asked if they could call another JL location and find out if I could get the service done there. He said "you can just Google it." I paid and left, never to return to that particular Jiffy Lube. SO, went to the JL in Bellevue (Bel Red Rd) and was absolutely delighted with the service I received there. I told them my story and that I didn't need an oil change since I just had one 10 minutes ago. They jumped to service - replaced the light, plus checked other things like tires, fluids, etc. The manager asked me where I'd gotten service and I told him. He didn't say anything but his expression was revealing. He told me his shop was under new management -him - and he checked all the other things in case the other shop didn't do the other services that were expected. He then said "you're good to go." I asked what I owed (the other place had told me $18.00 plus cost of light) and he said "nothing." I felt bad and said I was perfectly willing to pay for the service. He asked me if I could smile, which I did - and he said "payment enough." Wow. So that location gets a 5 star and my future business and the others get zero stars - not because they couldn't do the light replacements, but purely on their exceptionally poor customer service. SCAM ALERT!!!! Yesterday I went in to get my oil changed and was shown that my air filter needed to be changed. I looked it over and agreed to have a NEW one put in. I noticed that the gentlemen before me was having the same thing done as it was recommended he change his filter as well. His car was ahead of mine and I watched them work on his car the whole time and noticed they never went to grab a new filter. I wasn't sure if I should say something on the off chance that I had missed them putting it in. So as my car began to get worked on I watched the whole process like a hawk and 20 minutes later they told me I was all set and ready to pay and go. I asked if my filter had been replaced and he said yes sir. I again asked are you sure because I watched the whole time. He went to my car and looked in and immediately went to grab a new filter and he installed it immediately. He came back in and said "oh sorry bout that". He then began to ring up my total cost where I asked if he was really about to have me pay for something that I had to point out wasn't even done and he gave me a response "well yea we already had given you a discount". I said fine but I will need your name and everyone who worked on my cars name. He told me to wait one minute and went to talk to someone who told him to give it to me for free. The whole process was wrong, there is something going on in that place where they are telling you that they will do service to your vehicle but do not and still try and charge you. Earlier today I contacted the local news outlets in St. Louis and told them about the possible scam going on at that location. I hope you will get this to someone who will look into this matter as well. read more
