Of course I waited until the absolute last minute to renew my tags and completely forgot the fact that I needed an emissions test! Well I went to valvoline in maplewood and they said they didn't do that anymore (as of last year) and informed me about telle tires (which needed an appt and was after the 4th of jan was earliest avail) and the inspection station. I headed on over to the inspection station and read the instructions. I signed in and the nice gentleman (I think the owner) told me to wait in my car. About 15 min later I was asked to pull in, I paid in cash, and left with my inspection. The process was super easy and he was very nice- I tend not to go to car places by myself as a female because I usually get taken advantage of but not here. I felt safe, process was easy, and the owner was nice. He also seemed to have won a crap ton of awards for muscle cars. $24 and 20 min later, I was able to renew my tags! Got there. The guy was efficient, finished the Emissions and Safety checks (emissions inside the city, safety for the whole state) took my money, gave me the paper and I was done.
