The team had great vibes and walked me through everything always trying bring up a good deal they had to help lower the cost, loved the energy. I moved here from Boston 6months ago & sought out a company that had a branded name throughout a few states, so I went to JIffy Lube. I was happy that they provided a few services & also offered financial aid so I was able to get all my brakes done at once. The work took longer than expected, but all the workers were nice & attentive. I decided to go back 4weeks later to get my non working AC recharged. I went Sunday at 4pm & told a 40 minute wait, so I went home. Came back Sunday at 9am & told workers there unable to do this particular service & to come back on Monday. Arrived at 10:15 am on Monday & told worker would be in after 11am, so I went back at 1:15pm & waited in line for 10minutes in 91degrees before someone came over to tell me worker was working on another vehicle & not sure how long & that they'd ask. Well after another 5minutes, I left & now looking for another JiffyLube to get my services done. read more

Based on one experience on a Sunday at noon for a quick oil Change with a Groupon? 5 stars. I was promptly greeted by a service technician and within 20 minutes (I always time my experiences at auto shops) the oil change for my girlfriend's '10 Honda Fit was complete. Yes, he offered the usual transmission flush and optional tire rotation, but this is a standard script all auto shops have to follow. Did I feel pressured? Absolutely not. As a consumer, I inform myself, and you should do. Additionally, my service tech showed me the cabin air filter and said that he didn't recommend replacing it just yet. He could have just as easily recommended replacing it. Again, I installed the cabin air filter myself and actually have a reminder set as to when to replace it. He said it was good for another few months or so, and he was absolutely right. Places like Jiffy Lube can be hit or miss, but I have to say that based on this one experience that it was definitely a hit. It doesn't get much better than a 15-20 minute oil change. And it was on a Sunday, no less. They are also on Groupon's "best of Groupon" (at the time of this writing). Here's the thing with auto shops: You have to inform yourself before you do work on your car. Inform yourself on what kind of oil your car uses. Inform yourself on the regular maintenance schedule. Additionally, it's called "preventive maintenance" because it's maintenance intended on preventing a problem. And finally, watch them as they service your car. There is a huge rating discrepancy between Google and Yelp, sometimes, with venues like this. For example, if you look on Google, you will see that this is one of the best rated Jiffy Lubes in the area - about a 4/5 on there. Sorry, but sometimes Yelpers can be a little dramatic. But that's why you have me, the anti-Yelper who everyone needs. read more

My go-to for a quick oil change. This time I stopped in on a Monday Right after work. A nice young man politely greeted me, opened my car door for me and showed me to the waiting room. Getting my oil changed in my car is literally the lowest thing on my to do list, ever. So low that my boyfriend is usually the one who remembers to get it done. This Jiffy Lube was nearby our house so we went on a Sunday, expecting a bit of a wait, it being a weekend. We pulled up and they were able to take my car immediately back and had it done in under 15 minutes. They were fast, efficient, and gave some good advice on another problem that I was having with my vehicle. 10 outta 10, would go there again...but probably, once again, late for my oil change due date. read more

Absolute Rip Off!! I'm not from this area but chose to get an oil change done here today, my mistake as it turns out! Was quoted $43.99 for the oil change which is high but I went ahead and had it done because of convenience since I had business to take care of next door. After taking care of what I needed to next door I returned to Jiffy Lube. I was "greeted" by an employee who told me the charge would now be $69.99 + $8.80 for an additional quart of oil my truck requires. I told the employee I would leave and get my oil changed at a different place (I usually get this done at Walmart for $34.22 which includes extra oil and tax, see photo). He told me I could not leave, as he had already drained the oil (nice!) What choice did I have at that point? After all was said and done I paid,,, $83.69 for an oil change (see photo of receipt!!), And to put it politely, a rude attitude and arrogant demeanor from the employee I had the unfortunate displeasure to deal with. And a dirty work rag left in the front seat of my truck (see photo). Get an absolute/exact written quote before turning your keys over to have work done at this place. So my husband and myself got to this location about 1:30pm the guy who did not provide his name advised they would be right with me .. then proceeded to continue with the cars in the bays . Once those cars left which took about 30-45 min proceeded to direct me to pull into the bay , the gentleman told me to pop the hood . Myself and my husband waited and waited waited no one came to the car no one was underneath the car no one said anything so my husband closed the hood and went to advise the employee that we can come back another time . The worker then proceeded to yell at my husband and tell him we can't leave this was suppose to be a simple oil change . The employe continues to yell and be combative with my husband . Then the other employee put conventional oil and my husbands truck requires full synthetic.. the employee didn't provide his name or the corporate name as my husband asked and did not charge us they just wanted us out of that location... very very poor service !! I have always used that location and oil Changes and will never go their again. read more

I usually dread oil changes. Ive been to this jiffy lube for the last few oil changes and each time i have been treated well. They let me know what needs to be done and let me choose what i want them to work on. They don't typically do any of the inside the car stuff, like vacuuming or anything but i don't really expect it. Im usually not waiting to long, very kind manager and staff. read more

The staff at this Jiffy Lube is super friendly and respectful, and really do take good care of your car. They are super informative with their services, and of course they try to upsell you, but you can always say no. Sometimes though, they offer service upgrades that really do make sense. So it just depends what you're looking for, and just be smart about it. There is also almost always a coupon you can walk in with or you can ask for, so look into it before you go. I also like how I can walk in on a saturday or sunday and get serviced. read more

Meh. The price for the "signature service" here recently went up to $37.99. That's pretty darn expensive for an oil change and a quick vacuum and wipe of the windows. For the most part, the service here seems good. I understand that most of the employees are just doing their job. The past handful of times I've been, however, they have really been pushing a LOT of extras (fuel system cleaning, power steering fluid change, etc.) It's just plain annoying. I have to endure a relatively passive sales pitch from the person keying in the information up-front and then, after I have sat down for a minute or two, am called out for an aggressive sales pitch from another employee. They essentially use scare-tactics. By doing it outside of the waiting room, most customers don't realize that everyone is being told the exact same thing -- regardless of the condition of their vehicle, number of miles, etc. It probably works more on folks who don't really know much about cars, though. My favorite time was when a mechanic pulled out my oil dipstick, pointed at it, and told me about how I obviously needed a fuel system cleaning. I asked him what a fuel system cleaning had to do with the oil he was pointing at. He quickly changed gears and after trying to get me to agree to a few other unnecessary services, let me sit back down. Now when I go for an oil change, I just politely say "No, thank you" to their first sales pitch. For the second attempt, I won't even get up out of my chair. This place used to be my go to for oil changes, but after the recent visit, I am more than likely going to find another place. I arrived at 345 on a Friday afternoon for my usual oil change and tire rotation and did not leave until 440! Almost an hour for an oil change and tire rotation is absurd. The things that ticked me off the most were: 1. An employee sitting in the cashier area fiddling around on the computer while my car sat in the bay 2. A friend of an employee pulling up 35 minutes after me and getting his car looked at immediately. 3. An assistant manager who didn't jump in and help but instead decided to do a half ass job on windexing my windows just as I was about to leave. This place is no bueno. read more

I love the staff at this Jiffy Lube. The mechanics here are friendly, always open to helping you save a dollar, and great at coming through in a pinch. One time I came in because my battery was going dead. They helped me assess the problem (warped cables) and fixed it free of charge when I supplied them with the materials. I had this same experience when I needed to change my wiper blades. They're great at helping you with additional services free of charge. It definitely builds loyalty, since this is the only place I bring my car for oil changes and various maintenance! read more

Came here for oil change because my usual mechanic moved recently and I really needed an oil change. The staff was definitely friendly and seems to be willing to help. The mechanics in the garage seems like they know what they're doing(this from watching them take care of my car and other people's car....yea I kind of keep watch on mechanics touching my car). The person behind the cashier, however, didn't seem like he knew how to operate the computer. Took him a little while just type up and print out my receipt and invoice. The only thing that bothered me here was the price. I got charged $35.00 for the service, a little too pricey for me for an oil change along with the vacuum cleaning, window/glass cleaning etc. I probably wont' be coming back because of the price. My regular mechanic charges $20, even the dealership only charges me $25 when I take my car there. I went in hoping that it would be around the $25 range. Oh well, lesson learned and remembered. read more

The jiffy lube at 7202 W Hillsborough Ave Tampa, FL 33634 is the worst service I have ever had. I arrived here at 1 pm for a break job. It is 6pm and I am still here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in for an oil change and not only do they try and rip you off they did HORRIBLE work. Long story short I had a sever oil leak that lead me having to tow my car to the dealer after they inspected it they called with the problem. Whichever employee did my oil change must have not known what they were doing because they used a tool that should have not been used causing them to crush the outside of the oil filter. Driving around like this cause to much pressure leading the oil filter to break. I now have to pay $200+ to get this fixed. My dad stopped by to talk to them and from the beginning they had a really bad attitude. DO NOT COME TO THIS JIFFY LUBE!!! read more

Jiffy Lube should be called Gyppy Lube. I went in for an oil change and the manager, Rico, tried to charge me over $300.00. When I scoffed, he worked his "magic" with keystrokes to bring it down to over $200.00. I still scoffed. Then, with more keystrokes, he brought it down to $166.68. Something about "brake fluid" and a "safety issue"...so I couldn't leave unless it was done. I know nothing about cars, and I'm sure this was apparent, so he took full advantage. He would have gladly taken the original quote of over $300, but I was given some kind of discount to still be overcharged with the final figure. read more

I have a 2016 chevy camaro. Needed an oil change before my drive back to NC. Experience was Great- nice staff- quick.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR! I went in for a standard oil change and was talked in to a coolant system and brake system flush. A few minutes into the flush the manager (Lynn) came over and told me there was a problem. He said there must have been a hairline crack in my coolant reservoir and that the flush made it worse, I would need a new reservoir to the tune of $250, and they couldn't get it today. I was forced to take a cab home (no offer of a ride) and came back the next day to get my car. I asked to see the old reservoir and when I did I could easily see they lied to me, both hose couplings were completely broken off. I complained and they told me that there would be no refund, it wasn't their fault it got broke. The next day my car started overheating so I took it to the dealership. They found that JiffyLube had used the wrong coolant type (my car requires the orange "Dex" coolant and they used the standard green stuff). Also, the reservoir was not installed properly and was leaking from the hose couplings. I had to get the entire system flushed again and new clamps installed. JiffyLube refuses to cover any of these repairs and outright lies about what happened. Now they say my car had no coolant in it when I came in, but a corvette in Florida overheats if it has no coolant. I had no leaks, no overheating issues, no coolant smell, and no coolant on my garage floor, yet they say it was already broken and out of coolant when I arrived. I don't see how I drove in but had to take a cab home if they did nothing wrong. I plan on taking this to the BBB and small claims court as I am out $450 because of their incompetence. If you care about your car, avoid this place. I should have known something was off when they left the dipstick out of the car before me and had to stop the person from leaving and reinstall it when they noticed it on the ground as the customer got in their car. read more

I took my wifes car there on Sunday for an oil change. I know usually try to sell all the services to people regardless if they need it or not what really got my this time was how the service tech was holding the pristine white air filter in his hand as he told me I needed a new one. Even worse was the battery test they handed me a ticket printed from their tester telling the battery was bad and I needed a new one they must have a way to fake this test because the battery wasn't even 6 months old I told him to just do the oil change. I went across the street to Auto zone and got the battery checked again it was at 100%. Jiffy Lube is really ruining its reputation by force selling things people don't need and outright lying to people read more

I took my car here for an oil change before a road trip (well, moving to NC). I paid them way too much money to rotate my tires because it needed to be done and I was crunched for time... well... they ended up screwing up one of my rims which ended up costing me a lot in repairs in the months since. Not awesome! They are also really pushy when it comes to trying to sell me air filters and wiper blades that I don't even need. read more

This comedy of errors is ridiculous. I am not going to go into details over everything that was done because they already contacted me and refunded my money. I have to talk about the extras or upsell as they call it. I got my receipt back and it said I needed front brakes and rotors. Since I just bought this car just a few months ago and this was my first oil change, I took his word for it. I stopped driving the car until I could get the brakes done with such a dire notice which certainly was a hardship. I got all set, bought the brakes and waited on the rotors figuring they were just fishing for more money and I was right. Was I surprised when I pulled off the front calipers and see that my brakes probably have 50,000 miles left on them and the rotors are perfect. I hate when this happens because I got the brakes and got all set to do the work and there was NOTHING wrong. read more

I echo most of the other reviews. Friendly staff, but it was too expensive and they tried to push other services. They said my windshield had cracks (it's a new windshield with no cracks visible), they said my belt needed changing and when I asked to see, they suddenly couldn't see the issue. They replaced the in-cabin filter with a cheap musty smelling one that I now have to change. This place is good if you just need a simple no frills oil change and you're in a pinch. If they "find" anything else, take it to a real mechanic for a second opinion. read more
