We had the WORST experience at this Take 5 oil location. Do not let them work on your vehicle unless you want to have $1500+ worth of damage that "they are not at fault for". They will not share the footage of the service they provided until you provide a court order/subpoena even though they say the footage shows they did no wrong. TERRIBLE customer experience from all who of the Take 5 Oil employees at the shop (Ivan, Juan, and Henry) and from the corporate customer service team. They use a 3rd party claims administrator who refers to them as their client and only has their interest in mind. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Techs damaged my vehicle during a standard oil change. Messed with the sir filter (put it back in incorrectly), touched the mass air flow sensor, and did a factory reset on the vehicle to try and fix their mistake but are now saying they are not at fault. Worst customer experience I have ever received. I have now had to contact a lawyer to help resolve this. read more

My oil filter canister was loose my bolt that goes to my oil pan was loose and take five oil change are the only company to last change my oil as I have always been there to change my oil if I hadn't taken it to another mechanic to find out why I have a oil leak I would have never known they're not thorough and they're not trustworthy.I feel like I paid for a simple oil change twice.May I suggest that whenever there is one person under the car downstairs that another employee come behind him or her and double check for integrity. I went to get my oil changed at Take 5. I really wanted to hate the place because I heard they are overpriced and they try to upsell you everything possible. That wasn't the case for me at all. I was out the door with a synthetic oil change in about 40 minutes and spent $50. It was cool never having to get out of the car and they are pretty thorough. They showed me the oil level on my dipstick after they changed it and they showed me my air filter. They topped off all my fluids and made sure my tires were at the exact pressure they were supposed to be. I guess I liked being part of the process. I personally would highly recommend them. They even recommend for you to come back after a thousand miles to make sure all of your fluid levels are still good. read more

Store: Take 5 #386 On Hillsborough Road in Tampa Florida. This store when I went for an oil change on my car, Tech opened the hood of my car and tells me that an oil change cannot be done because I have a blown head gasket. (I know for certain that I do not as the mechanic who services my car, just fixed my car a few days ago.) After refusing the service of getting new head gaskets, I went to my mechanic and what do you know, there was nothing wrong with my car, It just needed an oil change. Which is what I went to TAKE 5 in the first place. The company rep lied about what my car needed and was trying to charge hundreds of dollars more of UN-needed services because- I am a woman and wouldn't think to question a service tech man. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!!! This place is utterly ridiculous and if you are a woman TAKE 5 will ripp you off! Stay away! And, from the looks of all the posts I have been reading here on the Take 5 Facebook page, this seems to be a really big problem for your company. Shame on you! read more

It is sad when you find out a place you have been getting oil changes at for years employs liars and thieves. A couple of weeks ago I stopped by to get air in my tires. There was at least 5 people working and no customers, so I felt bad not having enough to tip all of them when everyone got up to assist with checking my tire pressure. I pulled out the two extra dollars I had in my wallet, along with some stickers of my artwork to share. I apologized for not being able to give them more money, even though the service was free. Later that day I realized I was missing a $50 bill out of my purse. I had not gone anywhere else but to get my tires filled so I knew I must have accidentally given it to them. I thought for sure they would have called me, seeing as they have my number in the computer and I had just mentioned how I was tight on cash. I went back a couple of days to later to get my oil changed and everyone on staff recognized me and remembered the incident. The manager discovered that one of the employees had taken it for himself so he gave me a discount on my oil change and assured me they would address it with him and return the money. Had everyone split it, believing I was intentionally leaving them a $52 tip for putting air in my tires, that would be one thing, but one guy told the others he would handle it and then took it. I stopped by the following week and the guy who took it was there. He apologized and said he would have it the next day. Honestly it is not about the $50. It is about the fact this is a neighborhood business. My entire family gets their oil changed here. They knew It was an accident, admitted to stealing it, and then failed to make it right. It is bad business and a bad way to treat people in your neighborhood. Good thing there is a place directly across the street that my family and I will go to from now on. read more

Literally every time I go there for an oil change I ask for them to fill my windshield wiper fluid and air in my tires. When they tell me to pull out of the garage I ask them again did you fill my air and fluids and they say yes but never do. Lie to my face every time. 4th time I'm over it I won't go to this place again. They are ok with people getting out of there cars to drink beer while the change is done.... how nice sheeeeesh. The team worked like a well oiled machine (see what I did there? corny I know lol) The person who was attending to me was very nice, patient, clear, and I didn't feel like I was getting products forced down my throat like other places. They changed my oil, showed me how to read my oil (don't judge me), and swapped out my wiper blades. This place costed me 112.00 dollars! This is the only place I ever took my car for an oil change. Went here back in January because I wanted to make sure my car was okay to do a road trip. They stated my oil filter cap was too tight for them and the tool they used to change my oil was broken but I'd be good for my trip and told me to come back to them after my trip. I came back after my trip for an oil change and they stated again they couldn't change my filter because it was "too tight". Something felt off so I had my dad who's a mechanic take a look. Turns out, these guy broke my oil filter housing and lied to me stating the cap was too tight and turned me away twice so they wouldn't have to take responsibility for it. I had to go to a dealership to get this fixed and it costed me 112 dollars. They logged me into the computer both times so there's records of me being there and the security cameras which should show the bay I was in. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! read more

Yeah it's convenient but that's not worth the extra $40.00 over what you can find at other places. I'd rather go to Walmart and use that $40.00 to shop while they change the oil. read more
