Jiffy lube has become quite expensive (more than twice the price of a regular car place). Their advantage has been that that it is an easy in and out. You don't have to wait and you can stay in the car. The expense has begun to outweigh the convenience though. More and more i use a regular car place for my oil changes. read more

Service at the Whitman MA location is abysmal. Would rate 0 if I could. On Jan 10, 2024 I had "Signature Service" performed, only to find that after a LONG wait, the car was not vacuumed and the windows, including the windshield were not cleaned. I received a call from the owner (DN Get Name) who profusely apologized and offered to take care of it if i brought the car back. REALLY??? 5,923 miles later on October 1, 2024, i returned to this location for another "Signature Series" service to once again find that NO VACUUM had touched the car. BUT WAIT, THERE's More. As you will see on the attached photo, they didn't even bother to properly seat the oil filter as I found when I noticed a trail of oil in my driveway while teaching my six year old grandson to ride a bike. I returned to the store and spoke with manager Travis who told me he would review the recording of the service to see why this happened. That was Saturday afternoon 10/5. Long time customer no more. No longer is it a 10 minute "jiffy" oil change. Now you wait 45 minutes+ in line for the guy in front of you to get spark plugs, transmission oil, headlight cleaning, whatever. All the while the "mechanic line" sits empty. I tried and waited twice today for an oil change. The quick change guy up the street that stuck to its roots was quick and fast. 10 minutes in and out. Changing the business model lost this customer. i went to Jiffy lube for the syngetic oil change. Justin was really great with advice and expediting things . I was surprised by the value too and was even able to apply a digital coupon. Even the programing for the Tv in the lounge was good . Biggest reason i will come back though was Justin. Their customer service is amazing. Cheaper than other oil changing shops. They do not push to sell filters and everything else. They do tire rotation which I do every time I get my oil changed. There is always coupons online and if you ask they actually look for you. One more thing, they do headlight renewal to make them pretty again for 69.99 with a lifetime warranty. I was almost getting new headlights because they were so yellow but it was expensive so they suggested that and wa-la. They look new. Saved me a few hundred. So that's it. Simply the best read more

If I could give a negative star I would. I have had the worst experience of my life with Jiffy Lube. I took my car there for an oil change that went fine, I was told that I need a new CV axle that was fine, I waited a week to see if I could come up with the money I called back told them I would like to get an estimate and if the proce is duable that I would like to ge the repairs made. They had me bring it in to have the actual mechainc look at it on a sturday (my only day to do it) as I live out by Worcester and was coming there on the weekends to visit friends and family. Alex called me *the mechanic* and told me that in fact it was not the cv axel that was broken and it was the steering column, he said because I was quoted $270 for the CV axel repair that he would keep that quote for me, that was on or about 4/22/23. He said he would call me when he found a part I said ok, 30 minutes later Alex called me to say that he was able to find a part through 3rd party and it would be $174.00. I said ok great order the part, he said because it was third party that it wouldn't go through Jiffy lube ordering I would have to pay him directly. so I borrowed the money and paid him cash that day when i picked up my car. It was two months and numerous times of calling both Alex cell phone and the shop I was told by alex that the part came in, I dropped my car off and and waited all day for a call finally at 4:30 I called Alex he said that the wrong part came in it was a part for a Hyundai Santa Fe not a Hyundai Sonata, he said he ordered the correct part and should be in within the week. When I got in my car I noticed the dust that I had on the plastic covering had not even been touched so Alex didn't even take it a part, but who am I to know for sure that he would need to take it apart to do the repair as I am not a mechanic that is why i entrusted my car to a qualified Jiffy Lube employee. Another month went by of me continously calling Alex's cell and the Shop, I finally spoke with Ashley (the GW at the time of the Whitman location) who at some point decided to cover for Alex and say that they will definately take care of me and give me free oil change, filters, tire rotaions. I said that is great I just want my car fixed, finally was able to get in there to get my car fixed and yes the steering wheel now does not jiggle around or make a clicking noise when turning the steering wheel, but now I cannot take the key out of the ignition, it won't even turn off, it stays on accessory mode, so for the past 4 weeks I have had to open the hood and disconnect the battery to get the key out, and then reconnect the battery so that I can use the car, lock the doors, and then do it all over again everytime I need to use my car. My steering wheel is not straight since the repair, and I also cannot use my lever for tilting or telescoping my steering wheel because that won't budge. I have spent about 7 hours each time I was there waiting on my car because I felt like I could not trust the fact that Alex would work on my car. The GM at the time Ashley made a joke of it saying how she would put me to work becuase I have been there so long every weekend. I work a very stressfull hard full time job, Monday - Friday and I have spent every weekend at Jiffy Lube for hours or have made a trips to Whitman when Alex would tell me he will be there to work on my car I would show up and he would not be there, everyone would have an excuse why he wan't there, the last time I spoke iwth Alex was 8/28/23, he called to say that he is being made the GW of the shop on Wednseday 8/30/23 and that I could definately get my car worked on. I called and texted him on Wednesday making sure Saturday is still good, no response, I then called and repeatedly texted Alex Friday 9/1/23 with no answer and no response back to my text messages. I called Saturday morning 9/2/23 to just make sure that Alex will be there as I was leaving to bring my car up there, I was told to hold on a minute, I was left on hold for 22 minutes where Justin got on the phone told me that Alex does not work there anymore and I explained to Justin what has transpred between Alex and I and he said unfortunely I am not the only one that Alex has scammed. I said well what am I supposed to do, he made my car worse and I don't have any money to pay someone else to fix their mistake. He said becuase I paid him directly that there is no paper trail and I am on my own, I said no I have text messages that I wrote him what I have paid him, and that else do I owe him, that I should only owe him $45.00 more dollars, he said not to worry about it is is on him becuase of the inconveince and my patience. Justin Said that he would need to speak to his head manager and see what could be done if anything. Was in three months ago for an oil change- they wanted to add on a bunch of things and I declined. The person that serviced my car claimed to be the manager but after talking to him for even a short amount of time it was clear he was under the influence of something heavy. Declined extra services as the car had been perfect and just needed a standard oil change & honestly the guy made me uncomfortable and i just wanted to get out of there- the "manager" kept being pushy about the extra stuff (some air filter, something with my tires, a gasket...idk what else) despite me saying multiple times it was fine. The next day there was a puddle of oil under my car, within 2 days all kinds of lights and issues had popped up. I'm still dealing with whatever was done to my previously fine car 3 months later. What was supposed to be a quick oil change has been a nightmare. I will never go this location again. read more

I'm pretty sure I was bamboozled into spending WAY more money than I needed to for a standard oil change. I've never paid more than $45 and this time they told me my car required synthetic for $75. Seems like a ripoff and I regret trying to save time and not going directly to the dealership. Went for a simple oil change. Nothing else. In 3 yrs of owning my car not a single light has ever been lit up on my dash. I go for a simple oil change 2 days ago, and request only the oil change. They do the oil change and then the tech starts to check the air filter (which I did not want, verbally told the tech I only wanted and oil change and oil filter). Instead of removing the filter from the intake filter housing using the convenient removal tabs Subaru put in place which would allow the filter to lift right out, he rips off the intake hose into the intake filter housing with the MAF sensor sits, which is not the proper way to remove an air filter, or even check it. Instead of ripping my intake off the motor, he could have asked how to remove the filter, would have been happy to assist. So, I drove the car home (2 miles), the car sat on Sunday, and today, Monday, as I pull out of my driveway, I have the check engine light on for my MAF sensor, and my emergency brake light is on as well. Again, had never seen these lights on before the entire time I have owned this car (3yrs, 80K miles) Needless to say I am disappointing and angry on how this occured from a simple oil change, also disappointing on the negligence of the technicians when it came to removing my air filter/intake as it were (which I did not want), which in turn caused a check engine light and will cost me money to repair any issue(s) that I did not create. So i spent 102 dollars on an oil change and got a few unexpected issues to fix on top of that! I always do the work myself...and this is a perfect example as to why....... I will not be returning to any Jiffy Lube for any reason in the future, and will pass on my poor feedback to any prospective costumer. Hopefully Corporate will help!!! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Jiffy Lube in Bedford Street in Whitman! I noticed a puddle in my garage and checked my oil to realize I had none! I usually get my oil changed at a different place, but they were closed on Sundays! I went to Jiffy Lube and not only were Jonathan and Reina extremely friendly, but they explained that the last place did not tighten the oil cap. They offered to type up an explanation on the receipt so I could bring it to my the last place I went. Then I took out my debit card to pay after they filled my oil and they told be it was free of charge! What an extremely nice gesture! read more

This place is great. It's quick and the employees are very professional. They don't put high pressure on you to change filters and optional upgrades. I am in and out in less than 15 minutes. Certainly, I could find a cheaper oil change (around $35 for a standard oil change more for synthetic) but those usually involve wasting at least an hour of your day then they usually find something that needs to be replaced wipers battery or rotate the tires. read more

As far as a Jiffy Lube goes this is the best I've been to. They offer to do a full array of services but they do it without being pushy.
