I know they are much better than a 3-star review and I will go back so I can redo this. I have a breakfast sandwich, which was filling but the ham I chose was very salty and overpowered every bite. Great food and quick service. The hours are difficult for a day shift working person to get to. They are only open M-F for breakfast and lunch. I'd love to go on the weekend with my husband who works out of town but they are never open when he could go with me. Besides the availability everything else is great. I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. read more

A strange sandwich shop at the edge of a parking lot, unassuming yet full of people yet I can't imagine why. The sandwiches are just ok here. It's nothing special but something to get if you forget your lunch for the day. The soup is uninspired and the sandwiches take forever to come out. There is no dedicated waiting area so you're left standing against a coffee station waiting for your name to be called. Some of the orders seem to take lifetimes to be completed and others are made in a matter of seconds. It appears the name Jiffy only applies to the length of time to make SOME of their items. Simply for the consistency and the mundaneness of the location as well as the ease of racking up an outrageous price for lunch its getting 3 stars. Seating is limited and the best thing here I had is the club sandwich although eating it is a pain as it is bigger than your mouth. Make sure to add horseraddish sauce if you want to spice up your sandwich. The italian was nothing special. read more

I was craving a sandwich and came across Jiffy Sandwich Shoppe. This restaurant is in downtown Winchester and tucked away on a corner. I ordered the Italian sandwich with sweet potato chips. Even with the lunch rush service was very nice and so fast. The seating inside was full but they do have two tables outside and it was a perfect day to sit outside. The meal has a lot of options with daily specials. Jiffy is an amazing little local place. read more

Even Dunkin donut got off the Styrofoam kick like 5-6 years ago. Not good for your clients not good for the environment. read more

The 1-star rating has nothing to do with the location's food which is very good. I've been coming to this establishment, bringing friends and family for many years now and have spent a lot of money here. I also frequent the Bonnie Blue restaurant across the street. On this day, it was my intention to get breakfast at Bonnie Blue and pick up lunch for someone afterwards at Jiffy. I have parked in Jiffy's lot for many years now and did not see (or expect to see) the new signs that say it is private parking lot. Not long after ordering my breakfast at Bonnie Blue, Jiffy had my car towed. They have cameras that monitor the lot and if someone parks and walks across to the other restaurant, they contact towing immediately. While I was waiting for my ride to the impound lot, I learned more about the circumstances from those "in the know". Apparently, Jiffy and Bonnie Blue are in the midst of a parking dispute and their customers are paying for it. Another couple made the same mistake while I was there, and I ran over to warn them. They replied, "I've been parking here for years". I guess Jiffy wants to make an example out of locals that missed the new signs. It cost me $225 and an extra 90 minutes of work to collect my car unexpectedly today. The towing company says they tow between 3-4 cars on a weekday and 6-8 cars on a weekend day. To prevent being treated like I'm in NY city instead of Winchester, I'll be avoiding both establishments from now on. And for those of you who would say, "just read the signs", what an honor it must be for you to have never missed a sign in your life. I've never had my car towed in mine, so I guess there's a first time for everything. These folks should get their petty dispute figured out before it starts to cost them more business. read more

I love jiffy. It's one of the only places that I can get deviled eggs. Sometimes I go there just to order soup and packs of deviled eggs. The management/ownership changed and now they have a grill and can make hot sandwiches and fries. The egg and chicken salad sandwiches are delicious. They are always friendly and as quick as they can be with how busy they get. I love that they have regulars and greet people by name. You don't see that every much anymore. read more

Sandwich was good (pesto chicken) but it was very small. The place was BUSY and I get that service will be slower when it's busy, but the guys making the sandwiches move at a snails pace while the ladies at the counter get it done fast and just wait around for them. I waited 20 minutes for two sandwiches. That's a long time considering there were 5 people behind the counter and only two people making sandwiches. It has small town charm but they are obviously not in a hurry. read more

This is a great (and cute) small business! The restaurant is quite small...maybe 4-5 tables, plus room down the middle for a line to form. They are open for breakfast and lunch only. 7:30am - 3:20pm. The sandwiches are basic, yet quite tasty. This is a great place to grab lunch in Winchester. Not a "nice" place to go for a business lunch....but good option for your casual everyday breakfast/lunch. read more

From out of town and wanted a local sandwich, I paid $4.75 for a tuna sandwich that I could have made from the store and kept the whole bag of bread and a whole can of tuna for the same price. Regular old sandwich on regular old bread. The tea was sweet, I will give them that but the service was not really. Not that they did anything horrible just no smile with the service. Go across the street to bonnie Blues, not great food but a lot more for the same price. read more

The food is decent. This shop has been a good alternative for me for a long time living in Winchester to pick up a quick lunch at a reasonable price. I always try to patron local restaurants over the chains. However, the wait staff behind the counter always seem a little "grumpy", for lack of a better word. In a recent visit, I overheard one of them say something to the other one about me... Couldn't even wait until I left. Lol. I've also heard them crack on other customers when in line. Bottom line: Average place for a decent, quick sandwich, but be prepared for the staff. read more
