There's no way this review can be long enough or effusive enough to express my thanks for Dr Jill's patience, kindness, knowledge and understanding of all things neurodivergence. (Also dentistry. But this is about the first part, primarily.) My son has been going to her since he was...two? Three at most? He's got sensory processing stuff going on, alongside other neurospiciness, and even sitting back in the chair was a major, major challenge at first. I still remember Dr Jill singing to him (singing!) the first time she checked his teeth, and she's taken great care to understand how he thinks and processes information, and to help ease him into what's often difficult even for kids without his profile. He's seven now. Writing this review because today, he needed to get four teeth extracted. AND IT HAPPENED. I was in absolute disbelief at the expert handling by Dr Lasky and her wonderful, sweet assistant. Dr. Jill Lasky is a freaking angel from heaven, and I'd recommend her to anyone, but especially if your child is anything like mine--putting the word out that this office is tremendous in its accommodations for ND kids. read more

This woman along with her practice/staff have been a blessing for our family and our kids. She is kind and understanding, takes the time to connect with the kids, is very sensitive to their needs and their feelings and works really really hard to make the kids comfortable. We have been taking the kids to Dr. Jill since they were very little, six and three, and they are now 14 and 11. When it is time for the yearly visit all we have to say is 'time to see Dr. Jill' and off we go, no complaints and no hesitation on their part. Dr Jill always has a smile and her staff is top notch. Best dentist ever!! I have been bringing my kids to Dr. Lasky for the last 8 years, and cannot say enough great things about Dr. Lasky and the rest of the office staff. My youngest who is autistic is a challenge at the dentist and both Dr. Michael Lasky and Dr. Jill Lasky have been amazing in helping him be comfortable and enjoy going to the dentist. The staff is friendly and professional, they set the bar high for their industry, you won't find a better office around! read more

Absolutely love this dentist, and actually all the dentists (including her husband and father in law) at this office. Dr. Jill is kind, patient and calm. My first experience with her was when my daughter had her front grown up eye tooth knocked out. I rushed her into this office, and they immediately sat her in a chair. Dr. Jill proceeded to save my daughters tooth (pushed it right back in, and put a 'brace' on it). We went to a specialist who did a root canal, and now 10 years later, the tooth is still intact. I have a major fear of dentists, due to aggressive dentists who had no patience with a frightened child. Thankfully, my children have had only positive experiences with these doctors, and have absolutely no fear of coming in. Only downside, is that they do not take adults! read more

Just took my 3 yo to see Dr. Jill Lasky- what a great experience. Clean open space with educational toys/books for kids. Mine waited for 30 min (we were 30 min early as new office, did not know about parking) - without any complaints- read, played, etc. we had to do a cleaning as well and Doctor was singing during cleaning- completely occupying my daughters attention. Staff was welcoming and helpful- parking plentiful, easy to schedule. Will be bringing my 1o yo soon, I wish she saw adults as well :) read more

My 3 kids have been going to Dr. Lasky's office for 18 years now (one graduated into adulthood last year!). Between the three of them, we have had experience with all of the providers and I cannot express how patient, warm, friendly, empathetic, caring, and wonderful they have all been. The grooves in their teeth were covered early on to prevent cavities, and the one cavity that did happen was treated with utmost gentle care where my daughter felt no pain whatsoever. She left with a smile and didn't develop any fears towards dentists (a fear that I have had since childhood due to a traumatic experience at a dental office.) Dr. Jill Lasky did a great job distracting her with fun comments and toys. My husband is a periodontist and chose the Lasky's for our children due to their extremely thorough and expert skills. I'm a dentist and a dad to a 4 year old boy. Admittedly my 4 year old has a candy obsession. I guess when you deprive someone it only makes them want it that much more. When I noticed my son was developing a cavity in the groove of his lower molar we decided to take him to a pediatric dentist since I'd rather be daddy and not the dentist when it comes to my son. We asked friends for a reference and heard great things about the Lasky office. We have visited the office twice now. I am absolutely impressed with the office, staff, and Dr Lasky. We didn't wait more than 1 minute before being called in. As an owner of a dental office I know how hard it is to always be running on time, especially when the office is as busy as theirs. It takes lots of organization. The office itself is clean and well kept. The staff was super nice as was Dr Lasky. I have to give her a ton of credit. It takes a special person to be able to 'sweet talk' a four year old to cooperate and she was flawless. You can learn dentistry but it takes a certain personality to deal with children the way she does. Either you have it or you don't, she does. The best pediatric dentist ever! I took my 4 year old son to another wildly popular dentist. The other dentist told me that I needed to put a silver crown on my son's tooth. After absolutely refusing to put a crown in the mouth of a 4 year old, the dentist told me that the alternative is to drill it but to do so she was going to give him a mixture of 4 drugs and then novocaine AND then some laughing gas to do the procedure and that the entire process will take three hours. She told me to make another appointment and come back in. Needless to say, I sought out another opinion and thankfully found Dr. Lasky. At the first appointment, Dr. Lasky took one look at the x-ray and asked whether I wanted to fix it right now quickly. Shocked as to how she could do it quickly given what the other dentist had said I recounted the other "dentis's" diagnosis. Dr. Lasky told me that NONE of that was necessary. She said she'll give him some Novocaine, simply clean out the tooth and it'll be done in less than 20 minutes. No silver crown necessary. During the entire process, my son had a smile on his face, he had no idea that he had been given a shot, or that two of his teeth had been drilled or that he had just had a mini root canal. Dr. Lasky was in and out, with fun and games, so quickly, we left with my son saying he loves the dentist. Dr. Lasky is an amazing find. You will be lucky to have her as your child's dentist. read more

I've been taking my two daughters to Dr.Jill for over three years. We just love her. She's so patient with them. One of my daughters has had a bad experience with a previous dentist but Dr.Jill has been amazing at alleviating her fears. Amazing!!! After going to 2 other dentists i was referred to Jill Lasky, DDS. She was the third dentist I had gone to for my 18 month old son. The first dentist (not Dr. Lasky) told us my son needed IV sedation to have 4 teeth capped. The second dental office (not Dr. Lasky) told me that he might need his teeth pulled or be put on a board and have extreme dental work for an hour. At the second office I was told the damage was because I breastfed him and that his teeth were very bad. Dr. Lasky kindly assured me all of the above was not true and that my son's teeth needed a little "buffing" and filled. Dr. Lasky did this in approximately 5 minutes with him screaming, but he was fine after that. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Lasky and she has our loyalty and recommendation. read more

This has to be the best childn's dentist in southern California. My 2 1/2 year old daughter had a cavity and I called several dentists and the cost ranged from $600 to $1500 to fix this tooth. I actually took her to a dentist and they wanted $150 just to secure the appointment for her and told me it would be at least $400 for my share of the bill with insurance. The I got a referral for Dr. Jill Lasky's office. I went in for the appointment and they checked my dauther's tooth and confirmed she needed a filling and said they could do it right then for $191. I said yes and it took about 15 to 20 minutes and we were finished and they didn't have to drug her. Needless to say she wasn't very happy about getting her tooth filled, but once it was over she was just fine. I cannot say enough about how happy I was with the dentist who filled her tooth, Lecia Harmer, she was gentle and wonderful with my daughter. If you want a dentists office that will be great for your child I highly recommend this office. read more
