This review is only for their Sunday brunch, as I have never been here in any other capacity. Met some friends on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. The menu had several options so a couple of us had a hard time choosing but between the four of us we ended up getting the sunrise sammy, huevos enchiladas lasagna, mango bacon goat waffle, and poblano cheddar waffle, as well as a blueberry lemon scone and a coffee. I will say the coffee was pretty decent and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately however, none of us were impressed by our dishes. For the price, the size of the plates and the quality of the food was not worth it. The huevos had too much sauce and not enough spice, the hash browns were mushy, and the waffles were dry and flavorless. The blueberry lemon scone didn't have any lemon flavor at all and was like weirdly wet. The food sounded unique and delicious and we were all excited to try it but left disappointed. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. That said, our server was amazing and it was a cool spot so I'd check it out for music in the evenings, but brunch just fell flat for us. read more

We landed at Jilly's for an early dinner because it was near our rental; we did not stick around for the live music because we were too tired to stay awake. It's a tapas menu, so adjust your expectations for food quantity accordingly. We ordered the Brazilian cheese puffs (forgettable), the chicken souvlaki (really good!), and the carnitas street tacos (also really good!), plus a couple of beers. This was enough food for us. Stop in to grab a drink and listen to some music. The bartenders were friendly and the prices were decent. I don't remember what I ordered. But I do remember that it wasn't quite what I expected. It came out quickly. It was hot and fresh. It was spicier than I would have liked. But I am not a fan of anything hot so that's probably me. The band that was playing that night was booked as a blue's band. The band was good but definitely not what I would classify as blues. It was right across the street from the hotel that I was staying in. So it was very convenient. I will definitely stop and again if I stay at that hotel. read more

I've been a few times and plan to never return, and solely due to the service and food. Entertainment is great, and it's a shame the owners have decided to provide mediocre food and drink to their customers. First, the menu! Why on earth would you offer 1 page dedicated to Flatbreads.... when first they are not even flatbreads, but a very sad version of a frozen pizza. The dough was nearly raw, and the toppings looked like kibble. Second, your neighbors, one of the most iconic and delicious pizza restaurants! Burgers, sliders, nachos would be a much better option. The new grilled cheese we ordered was served burnt and as far as Brazilian cheese, it simply tasted like deli white cheddar. Now the drinks.... $11 for a drink with more fillers than alcohol, and if you question the taste of your drink the waitress will ridicule you and question your opinion, as if after 2 sips I was looking for a free drink! The waitress said "if it weren't for the bartender, who I question about and wonder why he was hired, I wouldn't believe your drink was made wrong"!.... She took my drink returned with the actual drink I ordered and said "you were right, he accidentally muddled the wrong ingredients." Why would I lie about a drink tasting off? Why would a waitress question a customer, and not want to please them if they were unhappy with what they were served!!!??? Next, she lied when we asked for a straw. The waitress said "we no longer offer straws or have them at the bar". My party later witnessed other customers with straws!!!! How is this waitress still an employee? Her attitude was off the entire night with our table and many others, as we would watch her interactions, rolling her eyes, as if we all were an inconvenience. read more

We came here last Friday around 6:30 because we were looking for a new place to try with an extensive gluten-free menu. Jilly's entire restaurant is gluten-free, which is awesome. When we arrived, they asked us to pay a cover, even though the band wasn't playing until 8pm. We left around 7:45 and asked if we could have the cover back since we never saw the show, and they did refund us, which I appreciated. We sat at the bar and ordered soft drinks - Jilly's doesn't carry straws, which I understand, but I still prefer my drinks with a straw. We ordered the fried cheese sticks, the chicken satay, the firecracker shrimp, and the garlic flatbread. The satay was very unimpressive. For $9, it was really small and so chargrilled that all we could taste was burnt. Even with the peanut coconut dipping sauce, the flavor was underwhelming. My husband said the shrimp was good but nothing he'd order again. The cheese sticks were really good - they only give you three, but they are large. The flatbread was the real star of the show. It was crispy, large, and really flavorful. My husband even called it "phenomenal" and he is quite the foodie. We got to hear the opening act warming up and agreed that we wished we had come later because they sounded really good! If you order your food before 7pm, they will also give you 20% off your Bill. We thought the flatbread was reasonably priced , but that the other dishes were a bit expensive if not for the discount. We will definitely come back because the menu was pretty large(even though they have cut it back due to COVID) and the music was good. I will bring my own straw next time! read more

The live music was good but so loud you couldn't hear anything from someone sitting right next to you. The table service was fine. The two star review is for the canned chicken we were served in our soggy old shells. You picked them up and everything fell right through the middle with the exception of the stale outer rim holding up. This is mind blowing that anyone would serve this, let alone charge a normal rate. read more

Nice local joint. We came on a Saturday night and there was a jazz band playing which was very good. No cover fee. I wouldn't recommend the sliders as they are very lackluster for the price. HOWEVER, the flatbreads are delicious as is the popcorn. Nice ambiance and good service. read more

Rating: minus 10 Jilly, you've really let us down. Never had a complaint about he food, but the service is unbelievably bad. Starting with the support we gave you during the lockdown: you advertised opening time of 5pm was rarely met; one Saturday you weren't open till 5:30. Since you have no phone number to confirm opening, we had to drive to your place to see if you were open. Once, when we placed an online order at 4:30 and you DID open at 5, our food wasn't ready until 5:30, and I was the only customer in the joint. This Sunday (May 9) was the breaking point. We came with friends to the brunch; ordered our food at 12:26, and by 2:09 we still had no food. An hour and a half! And was there an offer to comp our drinks? Nada. If you you can't treat your customers right, don't open the doors. We're done. read more

Been here several times and have always had a great experience! Make reservations if it's a Saturday or Friday night. We not only come for the great local bands but also for the creative and unique menu. Try the fried artichoke or the pecorino popcorn. Crazy good! Great drink menu too! This review is for their delivery. I ordered from here when I was in town on grub hub and I ordered three things all of which were wrong one way or another. First I ordered blackened shrimp, they delivered firecracker shrimp. Then i ordered deviled eggs WITHOUT bacon (bc I dont eat it for religious reasons), it came with bacon. Last I ordered the bruschetta and asked for the dressing on the side, it was delivered doused in it and was completely soggy and gross. It was almost 9 by the time it was delivered so I was too tired to call and complain. Jilly's Music Room is one of my favorite places to visit in Akron. I love the location and accessibility. The items that are on the menu are tasty and the servers and bartenders are energetic and kind people. Would love to see a broader choice of menu items and the bathroom doors weren't so revealing to those waiting to get in a stall. I most of all love the music that Jill brings in on Friday & Saturday Evenings, such as MyFriend Jack & Fabulous Voices. These are solid bands that draw a good crowd of followers and a great vibe. I love it when they play there and I hope to see more of them there this winter and enjoy my friends, the food, great music and a local restaurant that's an Akron staple! read more

While the drinks here were great I can not say the same about the food. We arrived about 1140pm they stated they could not serve us food as the kitchen closed at 1145. We were very understanding as it was 5 minutes. The server stated we could order from next door at luigi's pizza and we would be ok. (Which we did). The live music was great! And I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I really wish they would allow that few minutes to order food but I also understand. I will surely try again... read more

**UPDATE** 12/6/2017 We went for jazz last night. The band was great AND they no longer charge for bottled water! I like Jilly's, really I do. Everything I've had there is good, solid. Their Bloody Mary is FAB... with bacon AND a pickle! My challenge is paying for water, OMgawd, seriously? I have to pay for a bottled water? I want straight, out of the tap, ice water. I had three drinks and my bf had two, and I can't get a flippin' ice water? We left early because I usually drink a glass of water between each drink so I don't get dehydrated or too messed up... This is one of my favorites. They hire the best band I met when I was 18 yrs. old in Kent Ohio The Numbers Band real name is is 15 60 75 talented people who can write their own music. Jolly's is a Vegan Restaurant and Bar I can't drink alcohol which is good thing because I am a Celiac and have to be NF,DF, mushroom F also but you don't go there they shut down the First week of the Pandemic ! I'd give more stars if/when this place fixes some issues..... First off, this place has a great atmosphere. The decor is really nice. Previous review is correct in stating you feel like you're in NYC. It's classy with out being stuck up. It's not a place for 21 year olds, which is fabulous. Bar service is excellent. Good is mouth watering. However, I was here for a concert. Sitting up front near the stage, the kitchen has an open window. Through out the band's set, servers were constantly shouting into the window "I NEED THAT ORDER!" or we'd hear the cooks screaming out of the window "ORDER UP!" It was ridiculous. A huge distraction to the music, and it distracted the musicians as well. The open window could be fine to use before or after the bands, NOT during. They need to put a screen down to close off the window to block the noise. The servers would then need to *gasp* walk IN to the kitchen to give the cooks their orders, rather than shouting. read more
