I ordered from the 614 Restaurant menu, for $20 I got a lot of delicious food! The tater tots were the crispest I ever had, and the pulled pork and cheese on top was a an added bonus. The meal came with two sliders, one I chose a traditional hamburger with pickle, cheese and ketchup and mustard. The other was a huge piece of fried chicken on a buttermilk bun and the chicken was juicy and done perfectly! My side was Mac and cheese and I chose an oatmeal Whoopi cookie. A delicious meal for sure!

I'm not going to completely bash, because for one this place is hip, no question. This place is clean, the restrooms were very clean, and that is something unfortunately some establishments struggle with. The service was great, very friendly and very prompt. What got me is the prices set for these little sliders. Ouch! I'm not going to place the prices on here but c'mon, give us some slack on the price gouging. This is a huge deterrent for me, snd almost makes the food taste a certain way, even knowing it may me a 2 star Michelin chef in the back grill. Again the price is what threw me for a negative loop, was it bad, no. Was this overpriced like most bar n grills, well absolutely it is! Can we go back to the red plastic cup prices that we grew up with back in the day. Sorry, I'm being nostalgic.

That's a strike. I ordered the Jerk Chicken meal with cabbage and Mac n cheese. Beef patty on the side. It seemed to take 25 minutes for my food to come out. There were 2 other customers also waiting to pick up. Seemed a little long. I decided to take mine to go. The flavor of the Jerk Chicken was good and the portion was nice. Not too hot like some places. But what's missing is that grill flavor. The chicken was tender but jerk needs that kick that you get only from a grill. Also, not chicken pieces but what seemed like diced chicken thighs, no bones, swimming in sauce. The cabbage was about as expected. The Mac n cheese was the star of the plate. Gooey and cheesy but buried under the mound of chicken. I could still enjoy the cheesiness. Buried under the heap of chicken and sauce was a burned portion of cheese which put a smile on my face. The best. Honestly I polished off the Mac n cheese and left about 1/3 of the chicken and 1/2 the cabbage. I was a little over the flavors. The Beef Patty was good, no complaints. My total was $21 with tip, no drink. Not the best bang for the buck IMO. There are authentic options in Columbus with the same portions, grilled and bone in, for slightly less money. I've never left a crumb at those places. So I give this one a solid 3 stars.

The layout features a dedicated bar section and a separate dining area, plus they offer outdoor seating for warmer weather. Since it was quiet when we arrived, we were told we could sit anywhere. We chose a booth, though I did notice the seats were a little dirty and the side of the table was sticky. However, our server was very sweet and friendly. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, and the portion sizes were very generous. We were a party of 3 and ended up ordering the Cheeseburger, which came with fries and coleslaw (I definitely recommend this), Cajun Melt, which comes with fries but I substituted it with sweet potato fries (note: there is an extra cost for substitutions). Also, we ordered the Cheese Steak, which also came with fries and coleslaw. Everything tasted great. I really can't complain about the food. If you are in the downtown Gahanna area and looking for a casual spot with good food, definitely check this place out.

I got the chicken Philly and would not get it again because it is grilled chicken slices on a sub. I felt like I was eating very dry sliced chicken for the most part. My husband got the bacon cheese burger and thought it was juicy and flavorful. My daughter got the Italian flatbread and it was a super thin piece of pita. She did not particularly enjoy it. My other daughter got the kids grilled cheese and gave 2 thumbs up! Ticket time is excellent as we were here for maybe 10 minutes and everyone had their food even with a super crowded restaurant! As for the drinks, the beer was cold and the mixed drinks were strong.

And unfortunately, it was closed the day that I discovered it. But, being a fan of BBQ I was intrigued since I had never heard of it before. I planned my return for a day when they were open, and I was very pleased with the food that I was served. This is a carryout restaurant mostly, but there are some limited seating areas outside. It is Texas style barbecue, which is differentiated from Kansas City, St. Louis, etc. There are many many genres to BBQ, and Texas style is entirely unique. they do a great job of capturing the BBQ flavor of Texas. The portions are substantial, and there are a wide variety of selections available. I made several meals out of the food that I purchased and took home. It carries well, and refrigerates well too. Even if you're not in the immediate area, it is worth a drive to get here. Food is well prepared and certainly on my list of barbecue joints to which I will return for another meal!

Sadly, this visit was a huge letdown -- especially after spending over $100. The good: Our bartender, Karen, was amazing -- super attentive and made sure our drinks stayed full. The dumplings were the highlight of the night. Easy 10/10. The cocktails were solid, too. The bad: * We ordered three mac & cheeses -- all were dry and lacking flavor. * The broccoli was oversized, bland, and nearly inedible -- more like giant chunks than something appetizing. 1/10. * When I brought it up, Karen explained that's how it's always served, but no offer of a substitute or fix was made. * The famous blackened sauce tasted off -- a 4/10 at best. * The salmon was under-seasoned and came in two tiny pieces -- another 4/10. * And the catfish? Seasoned well, but completely undercooked -- pink on the inside. Totally unacceptable. -1/10. I get that every spot has an off day, but this meal was far below the standard I've come to love here. Outside of the dumplings and drinks, we left feeling disappointed and let down. I hope this was just a one-time slip because I've always enjoyed SC -- but tonight missed the mark by a mile.
