I bought a new Mazda from this dealership last year and was promised 5 free oil changes. When I went to use them, I discovered that only 3 had been applied to my account. Since then, I've tried calling, leaving messages, emailing the finance manager, and even going in person, but after being told it would be rectified, I never heard back. It's been three months of follow-ups with no resolution and no response. What makes this especially frustrating is that I didn't have to drive 45 minutes to this dealership for my oil changes, but I did every single time because they asked me to since it supposedly helped with their retention metrics. I did my part to help them, and in return, I've been ignored and left without the service I was promised. I don't recommend this place. There are plenty of other Mazda dealerships offering the same cars and better service. read more

Came here for a check engine light on my 2013 Mazda 3. In order to correct my check engine light, they replaced my serpentine belt for a pretty reasonable price (much lower than I had expected). Service was a little slow (my car was in the shop for 5 days), but overall I'd take my car to the Jim Shorkey Mazda service department again. read more

The "service advisor" gave me story after story about what the problem was, but refused to give me any documentation of any of the alleged attempts to fix the problem. Early in the process of buying a car from this dealership it seemed they may have gotten my business, but during the negotiations they seemed to get frustrated. At one point the sales manager asked me "what are you trying to accomplish?" I kinda laughed and said " Im trying to accomplish getting the best price for the car!! Can you give me that or do I need to go to another dealership". During the attempts to get the best price I called several of the sales people who had contacted me. No return on calls, so I called James Duran a sales manager who had emailed me his personal phone number and said if he could help give him a call. I did. He answered but was evasive in he would not identify himself. I asked if I was speaking to James Duran and he hung up. Went to VM after I attempted a couple of times to return the call. We bought a 2025 Mazda CX 90 PHEV on 12/21/2024. We had been at the dealership a couple of times as we did with other dealerships not Mazda. They followed up with us multiple times as we were trying to make our decision as to which vehicle we were going to purchase. We decided on this vehicle and this dealership. I have purchased many new cars in the past but this purchase at this dealership was the worst decision. It took 4 weeks to receive my second set of keys after many calls to find out status. They promised me all weather floor mats at the time of the sale and that promise hasn't been fulfilled . The car didn't come with an owners manual and I have requested one but they just blow me off saying cars don't come with one anymore. I have bought 2 other cars in the last 1.5 years (one just 4 weeks ago) and both came with an owners manual. I will just chalk this up to a lesson learned and move on. However, for those looking for a Mazda, I would suggest you look at other dealerships before settling on this one. kind of ironic, I bought a Cadillac CT5 from Jim Shorkey in July of 2023 but with this purchase everything has gone smoothly. read more

very untruthful, salesperson was never truthful about the price of the car I wanted. she told me one thing on the phone and wasted 3 hours of my day not being straight forward. I never got the price of the car or interest rate, the payments were way over what we discussed, my car was supposed to be all I needed for trade in but it turned into $500 then $1000 that they needed to finance. i would never consider going there again. I wouldn't recommend either unless you want to waste your day playing games. read more
