I've been coming here for the last seven years while on business trips in the area. Tonight was probably the worst service I have received. I sat at the bar since I wasn't with anyone else, and was one of maybe six total people. After I finished my first drink, my glass sat empty for over five minutes. The bartender looked at me several times and just walked by. Apparently, the couple that walked in was more important to talk to (about issues with other servers) than taking care of the other patrons at the bar. Disappointed, as usually the bartenders are pretty good about making sure patrons get asked about refills before their glasses empty. read more

We arrived at 9:15pm- and sat down immediately. Our waitress came over and got our water and drink orders. This was the best part of the evening. My daughter got her drink 20 minutes prior to leaving and finishing our meal as well as boxing up her order to take home. We asked for more chips (we ate the chips first delivered despite not being hot) but never received any more. Such a fiasco our food delivered to another table. Someone else's appetizer delivered to our table. And the kicker, my ticket at the end of service had an appetizer on it that I never ordered. FYI just in case you think it was the one accidentally delivered to my table your would be wrong--- it was a totally different appetizer... Our waitress took our order and delivered our water- we never saw her again until she saw me stop another waitress asking about my daughter's drink. My two great nieces (3 and 4 years) love playing in their playground. however, tonight they were so many older kids running around, chasing and tagging each other, that they could not even enjoy themselves! One of my great nieces was knocked down by one of the older kids running around. I feel like this area is not designed for tag or for children 12 years old or higher, they were bigger than me! The tortilla dough was too thick. You needed a steak knife to cut it which was not provided. As an appetizer we had the cheese dip. This was a warm thick and tasty white cheese dip which everyone liked. The chips were good as well as the red and green sauces. The main dishes were disappointing for each of the 4 adults. This place seems to be relatively new, but has pretty good food. We stopped into Jimmy Changas for lunch while in the area. We were seated immediately despite a large lunch crowd. A waiter delivered the mandatory chips and salsa, but also brought what they refer to as "green sauce". The salsa was good, but not spectacular. The green sauce was different from anything I've previously had, plus the waitress refused to disclose the ingredients even after the skillful trickery I used to learn their secret. I ordered their rotisserie chicken enchiladas which came with rice and beans. The enchiladas were good as were the rice and beans. This seems like a chain, but I like the concept. The food was good and the staff were friendly. I will gladly stop here again next time I am in the area. read more

She was prompt mostly, and gave us time at the end without rushing us. The "happy hour" isn't so happy, it's a discount on tiny beers and margaritas, the beers look like big shot glasses. It was cold however, and dos xx was dressed with big juicy lime. They have a good playscape/playground area that you can let your monkeys go nuts at. I really love everything about Jimmy Changas except for the fact that everyone ELSE loves Jimmy Changas and so that means this place is always packed. Always. Don't bother coming here on Sundays. Church folk like to eat and they show up in droves. We like to come in on a Tuesday or a Wednesday to avoid the crowds and it is still pretty packed. What can I say? The food is good and the service is even better. The bathrooms are also pretty clean AND to add insult to injury, they have a freaking playground and outdoor tables for those with kiddos. The tortillas are made fresh daily and that is evident by how warm, soft and fluffy they always are. I feel like I could JUST eat the tortillas and I'd be good. I usually get the same thing because the chips and salsa always fill me up. The classic tostadas are fantastic. It comes with three tostadas topped with refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onion and your choice of protein (get the chicken). My husband swears by the Chile relleno which is of course a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and ground beef. The sauce on top is a mixture of sour cream and queso and is fantastic. Comes with a side of rice and beans too which he always appreciates. Place is priced right for the area and is one of the best restaurants in the area to bring a group of people as they have a lot of large party seating.
