Only 1 star because it won't let you post without it. Nasty. Refried beans = no flavor and looks like runny poop. Not joking. Chicken fajitas were ok. Menu said there would be mushrooms but there weren't. Chips kind of stale. Service was good so that is the one star. Terrible food. read more

We just moved here to Alvin and we have tried this place a few times the food has been phenomenal but tonight we were actually able to sit down and I had a margarita which was out of this world I have had a lot a margaritas before but this one took the cake all I can see is the tortillas are homemade and the food is freaking fabulous! read more

Food is great we move the crawfish but.... service is really bad is not my first time here but today was awful the waitress taking selfies like they r in a club I was waiting to one of them looking in my table to ask for more coke or water they never did when I ask for a plastic bag she bring me a box was bad plus was like 3 girls of there talking and never check on the tables if we need something I really thinking about it to come back and is bad because we love the food and the green salsa was really salty when I ask for my check I was seen they charge $1.50 for a kids water really !!! read more

Ate some enchiladas that were so delicious. Had an excellent sauce on them and the chicken was spiced perfectly. The mango / chamoy margarita was over the top. Staff was so friendly. When I return back in town will definitely go back to eat there. read more

We went here for dinner after our softball tournament this past weekend. We are a large group, about 25, and the restaurant was very accommodating. Best service whether you get the nice waitress or the nice young man. Fast food. If you're starving stop here. I'm not sure why a reviewer said beans are runny. If he was talking about the refried beans they're just like every other Mexican restaurant ever been to consistency-wise. Can't go wrong with the fajitas. No chips on the table until we asked for it Food: good Drinks: good Service: eye contact would be a plus, as would coming by every now and again so we'd not need to track you down to order--as would acknowledging "no salt on the margarita" after more than once Atmosphere/music: nice until the karaoke started. Then, who I assume to be a talentless family grandchild, started singing--and dancing. REPEATEDLY Getting the check: had to ask for it. Then, NOTHING. 20 minutes. NOTHING Meanwhile, they are admitting patrons... Computer is down, which is fine, but for me to have to find that out after 20 minutes of waiting is unacceptable. Super Duper. Just moved to Alvin and this is the first spot we decided to eat at. The second best choice we made (first was moving to Alvin). Everything about this place is top notch, the decor was nice, the service was excellent and food (bakery included) was delicious. We will definitely will be back. read more

Food is 5 star! Service and such knocked it down a little. Had to wait extra for unknown reasons. 3 of us had shrimp dishes. And I recommend shrimp. I had shrimp bruschette. Bacon wrapped amazing! I will come back if I get the chance. But need to allow time for service. Love it, try it. read more

This is hands down my favorite place now to eat Mexican food that reminds me of my grandmother's cooking!!!!

The service was extremely slow. Maybe it's not a typical restaurant where a waiter waits on you. When it comes to the atmosphere, the volume on the TVs was loud, and the volume on the country music station was even louder. That was odd and annoying. I cannot comment on the food due to an extreme allergic reaction I had, which was strange considering that has never happened before. The menu advertised drinks that the bartender could not make because the restaurant was out of supplies. That is disappointing when something advertised is not available. The best part about the restaurant was that the staff members were polite. read more

My coworker and I stumbled in Martinez's restaurant. We have been back several times for dine in. We also just ordered some caldo for pick up today. Staff is great and friendly! Basing this review on the fact that it's a family owned and operated restaurant I ordered typical Tex-Mex fare. My wife had the big Texas barbacoa burrito and it was excellent. Beer was also cheap and cold. Overall I think it was on pare with most big box Tex-Mex restaurants in the area service was excellent and anticipated our every need I look forward to eating here again and trying more traditional and original dishes. read more

The mexican bread is really good but the food is ok, beans are always runny! Which tells me if they skimp out on something that is plentiful as beans....I'm scared to know what else they may cut corners on. However it's the yummy homemade flour tortillas that keep me coming back!! read more
