I came here last night for Dinner because I heard they did Lettuce Wrapped Sandwiches, The UNWICH! I was pretty excited about it, because I don't eat bread. I ordered my UNWICH and brought it to my table and unwrap my lettuce wrapped splendor, but all I got was lettuce leaf-y wrapped horror! It was pretty much 3 thin pieces of meat with one piece of cheese haphazardly tossed in a lettuce leaf (with Tomatoes and Onions on top). It looked more like a lettuce taco, than anything else. In a picture in the restaurant it shows mountains of meat and cheese stuffed in a lettuce shell wrapped in paper and cut in half like a sandwich! Needless to say, I did NOT get THAT! The UNWICH is a great idea (if done better), but the execution of THAT idea is done ALL WRONG at Jimmy Johns in Apple Valley! I can make a Iceberg lettuce taco at home. Thanks, no thanks. read more

I've been waiting for a Jimmy John's to come to the high desert since I left Arizona! It's super far from me in Apple Valley, but I love going there. They definitely make amazing sandwiches, and the customer service is pretty awesome and FREAKY FAST! I typically get the slim Vito or the Italian Night Club, add cucumber and sprouts. The bread is baked fresh daily and you can tell it tastes so wholesome with every bite. I have come into this place 3xs in a row, they know me there by face, I can't wait til they bring one into Victorville! read more

Don't know why people would say something like "can't compare this sandwich shop to another" ... Sure you can ... are they different yes, are they both good yes, are people going to have one favorite over the other though ? ... YES, yes they are, and for me that's Jersey Mike's, but Jimmy John's is damn good and comes in second on my list of chain sub shops. I might have to try again to be sure, but for me it came down to the bread ... and Jimmy John's has a harder exterior crust, and doughier / chewier interior of the bread ... and unfortunately I don't think that compliments the sandwich as well as the bread at Jersey Mike's. So try both, they are both good and worth trying and see which you like better, simple as that really. read more

Tried JJ's when they opened I ordered the Beach Club to go. I was pretty disappointed it didn't have the avocado spread, the only reason why I got it was for the spread. I decided to give it a 2nd try and ordered the Beach Club once again ..... there no avocado spread and no tomatoes. I was soooooo dissapointed won't be going back. Jersey Mike's is always on point I'll keep my business there. read more

Don't come here and compare it to jersey mikes. It's totally different. And it's a good thing. Service is fast. The bread is amazing. Nice and sturdy but soft inside. The sandwiches have the perfect amount of everything. No soggy bread from drenching it with oil and vinegar like jersey. The veggies are Fresh and it's nice to see green lettuce. I am a sandwich connoisseur. I have had sandwiches from here to the east coast and I can say that these sandwiches are well made and tasty. And just the right size. Take some Polident with you. The sub sandwich italian bread was thin and hard. I felt like I was eating pretzel bread, or a yoga mat.

Stopped in yesterday afternoon. Ordered the Gargantuan along with a turkey sub. Fast service. Quality of bread and meats much better than Subway..you can actually taste the different meats They are on par with Jersey Mikes, not quite Overland quality but close enough. Menu choices has many sandwiches that are what is listed......they do not have the number of veggie/cheese/bread options as say a Subway ...so read carefully. Can get crowded inside when they are busy. Just stay the course. Overall a very good tasting sandwich at a fair price made by people who appear to be doing their best to serve the customer. Appreciate a business run like this. read more

As a mailman I'm always looking for great spots to eat and found one here. Sandwiches are delicious, much better than Subway. Staff is courteous service is fast and food is great. Had a chance to chat with the owner. She's very sweet and loves people. Apple Valley is lucky to have them, wish Victorville had one. read more

Service was fast and the sandwich was well made. The bread was good but the meats were kind of tasteless. I had the #11 a ham and turkey club and added roast beef. Probably won't be a repeat customer with two other chain sandwich shops I would prefer in the same block. read more

Not impressed. I thought I'd try this place and see how it compared to Jersey Mikes which is right across the street. Ordered from their "giant club sandwiches" menu thinking that for $7.50 I might be able to share my "giant" sandwich with the SO. At "twice the meat or cheese" I was actually expecting there to be a lot of meat. Sadly there was barely a single layer of turkey and no cheese. It was mostly lettuce and mayo, and there "famous homemade" French bread was nothing special. I was so disappointed I took the sandwich back, which I rarely do. To their credit they remade the sandwich as their "the veggie" with turkey. So... I would say don't go into it with too high of expectations. Their menu grossly exaggerates the gourmet aspect. Better than subway, but nothing compared to jersey mikes. I won't be back. read more

So I admit I haven't really sat down for a full meal (full sandwich and drink and all that yeehaw), I just stopped in because I was peckish but not starving; I was about to have dental work done and I knew I wouldn't be able to eat for several hours; and I was really early getting off work and needed someplace to sit, have a bite and do a crossword puzzle before my appointment. The place was dead but it was a weird time I guess. I got the Slim Italian (5 I think) and the guy made absolutely sure I understood that it was just bread, meat and cheese which was fine with me, because I can read menus, but I guess they get complaints from the illiterati. I think the bread was a little smaller than the usual size for sandwiches but I am not certain about that. Overall I'd say even plain it was a very good sandwich; the meat held its own (that's why I got the Italian - turkey or something would've been boring plain) and the bread. The bread. I've heard a lot of people say they don't like JJ's bread; after trying it, I respond that I'm very sorry that their crackpipe tragically shattered all over their mouth and tongue, scarring them and rendering them permanently without taste, because that is literally the only reason a person would not like this bread. The bread was DELICIOUS. Pillowy, yeasty, fresh tasting, not like the garbo at subway at all. My mom thinks it's too chewy, but I don't get that at all - I like my bread with some substance! Anyway. Someday I will go back and have a full proper sub. And I bet it'll be good. read more

So extremely happy to have this place down the street from both my work and home! We lived in Idaho and Washington state and these sandwiches were something we missed after moving back to California. Me and my wife came here on a whim. I got the # 10 the hunter's club and she got # 12 breach club. We were not disappointed. They were a perfect size. The bread was amazingly fresh . All the ingredients were exceptional deliciously fresh. read more

This place is delicious. I like to eat gluten free; therefore, I get the "unwhich" and it is delicious. I get the Beach Club and add sprouts,sauce, and onions. It is great and way better than Jersey Mikes in my opinion. I eat there all the time and never regret it, highly recommend. read more

This place was great. I love the simplicity of their sandwiches. I ordered the tuna sub with hot peppers. The tuna was perfect, the bread had just the right crisp on the outside and soft but not "doughy" on the inside (next time I'll ask for extra hot peppers.) The staff was friendly and happy to share the Jimmy John's lingo and the back story. The hubs and I will definitely be back because it was delicious!!! read more

Went In to try it for the first time, wasn't very satisfied. The sandwich had way too much mayo, and almost no vinagarette. Also, our cashier savannah charged us for chips even though we said no. She was nice, but didn't know what she was doing it seemed like. read more

I never heard of Jimmy Johns before till they became a major sponsor in the NASCAR Cup series. But, I just this week looked on the net to see one right here in Apple Valley and went in to try it out. I can honestly say the quality of the sandwiches is much better than Subway by a long shot. The manager Lisa was very polite and explained the company history to me while my lunch was being made. I am addicted to this place. I swear there must be something in their ingredients that is illegal. My family and I tried Jimmy Johns for the first time and loved it. Since then we have all been back multiple times ordering exactly the same sandwiches every time. Who does that? Their version of fresh baked bread and fresh sliced meats and cheeses along with fresh vegetables is spot on. read more

Not all that I hoped it would be. Got the Club Lulu. Smaller than it was described on the menu. Not a whole lot of meat, like 2 slices and bread was stale. Turkey was not fresh cut but deli style. Highly disappointed. read more
