It was a good stop in at Jimmy Johns. Good sandwiches, entertaining decor. We stopped by after Mass at St. Luke's. I ordered the Spicy East Coast Italian sandwich. It was awesome. Double salami, double cappocollo, double provolone, mayo, and jalapeno...the #7. The kids built their own. It was easy. You order your food, you fork over your money, and you get your food. I would like to say we were impressed with the inside. It was clean, and had more sit down dining in space than what I have seen in other Jimmy Johns. We did enjoy all the signs with funny advice - such as, "It's not always a sunny day. Some days you're the pigeon. Some days you're the statue." Lol. Great service at this location too. Yes fresh sandwiches and wraps are typically more expensive but they are now reachable from a pricing standpoint. Today, I got their healthy lettuce wrap with some Cajun hot sauce and chicken. This JJ was disappointing. Ordered a turkey sandwich and there was barely any meat on sandwich. We will not return again.

Every once in a while, you have to drive across Texas (I mean El Paso) to get what you're craving. Then every bite reminds you of why the long drive was worth it! Jimmy Johns is that place!!! I went to one of the locations on the west side. I got one of their combos. I already forgot the name when I just had it last night, and I ate the other half for lunch today. That's how big that sandwich was, and the leftover half was as delicious!! It was the one with roast beef, ham, and veggies. The young gentleman that helped me was super nice. They have some awesome signs/quotes/daily reminders on the wall. Pretty chill. Two other people dined in beside me. Plenty of room to enjoy your sandwich and maintain social distancing. I might make that drive again tomorrow for round two. Oh, also, if the Jimmy John gods are listening... We need a northeast location. That's all!! read more

Placed my to go mobile order at least 20 minutes before I arrived and my sandwiches were not ready. They two guys had not even started my order even though there were no customers. I then introduced myself and requested my order. The guy took almost 20 more minutes to make my 3 sandwiches and he had no sense of urgency. On one sandwich they forgot the condiments and only gave me onions??? Avoid this place or check all of your sandwiches before you leave the store. Peace!!! read more

Everything from the service to the food was pretty good at this Jimmy John's location! I wish they delivered to my area but they don't. No problem! We placed an online order for pickup and it was immediately ready. Both of our orders were correct for the most part. The only thing I recall not liking is the bread. I think it's at every Jimmy John's I go to so it isn't only here. It's too chewy for me. It also doesn't have that much flavor. I had the hunter sandwich which is roast beef, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. I skipped the mayo and added turkey. I added mustard at home. Oh yea, I think they said they would add Ranch but they didn't. Not really a big deal for me. I got the combo so it came with a drink and potato chips. I got a lite lemonade and jalapeno chips. I also got one of their pickles. I really liked the flavor of all of this, especially the pickle. Sometimes a pickle is too sweet or sour but not here! It was just right! My dog didn't like it but I did! More for me! My bf liked his country club sandwich. It was HUGE! I think he got the biggest size they have. It could easily feed at least three people. I can't believe he ate the whole thing that evening! I think I got the second largest sandwich JJ offers. Next time I come, I want to try their unwich. It's a lettuce wrap so no bread. Went back to give this place another chance. Nothing has changed. They still refuse to modify sandwiches the way a customer might want them. Every other sandwich shop from Jersey Mike's to Subway (or heck, even Burger King) will modify sandwiches. Not this place and it's hard to believe. It's still an attitude of what YOU want doesn't matter to us. In a world of competition they don't seem to care. Sadly their bread is flavorless and tastes stale compared to the freshness of others. Jimmy John's, I get the appeal. JJ serves up real deal sub sandwiches. Am I implying that you can get a sub that's not the "real deal"? Yes, yes you can... I'm looking at you Subway. JJ is not messing around when it comes to feeding you subs that taste like a sub made at a NY deli where they purchase the bread from a nearby bakery and the meats and cheeses are tested for the best tastability. My boyfriend has been a fan of JJ for a while now and when we got on the conversation of JJ with Albert K., they both made me feel like I NEEDED to go to a JJ like last year. El Paso's first JJ opened up not too far from our neck of the woods so we made our way there this past weekend. This JJ is located in the same area as the Neighborhood Walmart so I can imagine that some days parking may be a little hectic, but we went on a Sunday and were able to get a spot right in front. The inside of JJ is tight. Even though there's a high school right across the street, it doesn't seem like they're really pushing for dine-in. But it was pretty empty so we decided to dine-in. I really like that all of their wall decor is snarky JJ-isms and such, like telling me my mom wants me to eat at JJ and "no hippies". So you order at the counter and when we stepped up, I was a little confused by the difference between the "Sub" and "Club" sections. What if I want a Club option on a Sub? Turns out the Club options can still be put on their delicious French bread so essentially you can put a Club on a Sub. Even with this knowledge, I still chose a Sub option after talking to the cashier about her faves and the most popular she's seen. I kept it pretty simple and went with the #1 - Pepe. The Pepe has ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Keeping with the snarky theme (and when I say "snarky", it's a good kind of snarky), some of the employees had shirts that said something along the lines of "Food so fast, it will shock you." Something like that. I hadn't seen the shirts before we ordered, but once we ordered, the cashier asked me a couple of questions like if I wanted to add anything to my sub and then we paid. And then they literally handed us our subs. I'm not kidding, the wait time for our food once ordered was mere seconds... maybe two seconds. And two seconds is probably actually long for a JJ so in case corporate is reading this, I just want to clarify that it took two whole seconds because I wasted time saying "Holy sh*t, that was fast." The French bread was super fragrant and it kind of reminded me of my childhood, eating fresh breads and the best subs. Good flavors and smells do that for me. The ham was delicious and I like that it was wrapped in the provolone. Every bite was consistent and I could taste every single thing on that sandwich. Quite tasty. I also ordered their chips because they make their own freakin' chips. That's really stepping the game up. They were good, just simple kettle cooked chips. I can't quite remember the price of the sandwiches, but I remember they were decent in price and I did feel full when I was done. The price doesn't include a drink or chips or cookies or whatever side you're currently feeling, but again the prices weren't anything crazy. I'm completely sold on JJ. Their subs are delicious and I can't wait to try more. And the icing on the cake? They deliver. (Sorry, they don't have cake). read more

It's no secret that Jimmy John's is my favorite sandwich chain, and I am ecstatic that it is finally available in El Paso! Aside from fond memories of years past, I really like the Deli feel to their subs, plus they always aim and take pride in their speed, so it really is fast food. For the unfamiliar, Jimmy John's offers a plethora of sub sandwiches with numerous deli meats. My favorite is the JJ Gargantuan, which is a gigantic sub with just about all the meats and veggies, it's not for the faint of heart, figuratively and literally. I'm trying to eat a little more sensibly, so instead of a Gargantuan, my first sandwich was a Vito, which is a classic Italian deli sub, I always get a pickle as my side instead of chips, because health. The dining area is small, but I'm happy to report that the El Paso sandwiches live up to my Jimmy John's expectations! You're probably not as excited about JJ as I am, but I am sure you will still find their sandwiches good. I currently have a 1 hour round-trip to visit here and it's still worth it, hopefully us lowly Eastsiders will get a JJs in the near future. While the food is okay, I have a huge complaint about the drivers at this establishment. Last year, I regularly saw a Jimmy John's driver pass me on his daily delivery. Sitting outside my children's school at 3:00 PM, I watched this driver repeatedly ignore the school zone and race up the residential street (Arredondo, by Rosa Guerrero Elementary) to his delivery. One day, he must have been going at least 50 as he raced by (as my parked car actually shook as he passed), I'd had enough. I called the restaurant and reported him to management. The manager apologized and said he'd take care of it. This worked for about a week. The driver never actually went 15 mph, but he did slow down--a bit. However, he eventually returned to his prior speed. I began picking up my children on the other side of the school. Tonight, as I was passing the restaurant in the Walmart parking lot, another Jimmy John's driver pulled up right behind me in a large silver truck. Apparently I was going too slow for him as he revved his engine repeatedly and followed extremely close behind me. I had my kids in the car with me so I decided to pull over and let him pass. As I did, he sped up and came within inches of my bumper before swerving around me and once again revving his engine as he roared past me. Again, I called management. This time, the manager gave me an offhanded apology, and was much more interested in informing me that the driver was delivering an order that had been sitting on the counter for twenty minutes. His concern was not for the reckless behavior of his driver or whether my kids and myself were okay, but that I understood just how important this delivery apparently was. Having worked in the restaurant industry in the past, I'm familiar with the importance of delivering food on time. But I'm also familiar with the systemic breakdown of customer service trends being the ultimate fault of management. Drivers, servers, and other employees tend to mirror the attitude of managers with regard to how they treat the public. It's clear to me that Jimmy John's management and employees care very little for public safety, even though they are representatives of the brand. I will not eat at this establishment again, nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. Shame on you. read more

The only experience I've had with this place is ordering online and getting take out, and I have to say that the quality of the food surprised me in a good way. Due to dietary restrictions, when I get jimmy john's, I get an unwich, which is lettuce wrapped instead of bread. I added an obscene amount of add ons to my online order, and when I got it, everything was there neatly wrapped in a large lettuce leaf that didn't fall apart when I picked it up! And although they don't have it on the menu sometimes, JJ's has the option of putting sprouts on your sandwich, one my absolute favorite things to put on a sandwich. The prices are pretty solid too; for 8 dollars, the gargantuan has so much meat and veggies that even I was extremely full after eating it. I don't have any experience with their delivery or how fast it is, but my online orders were always ready when I walked in the door. read more

Tried Jimmy Johns for the first time today. I got to say I'm very impressed. I love subway, i think firehouse subs, Quiznos are ok, but with JJ it's the best one for my taste. The fact that they deliver just makes it that much better. The bread is nice and fresh, they stuff the 8" inch sub so much that it will fill you up much more than a so called "12" inch" from subway. Pretty typical Jimmy John's. I was really happy when they opened this location so I didn't have to drive to Las Cruces. Some people are fans of this place, others are not. I'm a fan, I've enjoyed their sandwiches for many years since I first tried them back in Chicago where I went to college back in 2002. Their sandwiches come in 2 sizes, I usually go for the larger sandwich. The best thing about JJ's is how fresh their food tastes. This location is very convenient for carry out if you're on foot or bike. Parking here stinks, the parking lot is very busy due to the other stores in the plaza. It's at a major intersection as well. This location is very small, just a handful of tables but that's to no fault of the staff here. Speaking of the staff, they're very friendly and efficient. That's typical JJ's attitude. read more
