It's in a central part of downtown, making it easy to run to on a short break and they aren't just open week days for lunch. This shop really was direly needed and I'm happy to see it. The shop is small and they don't have everything you could possibly want but you should be able to find something that works, be that a drink, snack or even lunch. I came after lunch time but they did advertise lunches, they were just gone so I'm not sure what they offered. The do require you spend $3 or $4 before they will run a card transaction but that's not a huge issue, just something of note and they do post that.

Hubby tries the Hot Brown at a lot of restaurants and said it was good. The liver was tender and tasty with the onions and gravy on the side, and the mashed potatoes and green beans were a good accompaniment. The portions were satisfying and neither of us had room for dessert. We were pleased with the experience, and with more items on the menu to try, we will be back.

The ambiance is very inviting and spacious, and the service was very quick and accomadating. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with the tomato basil soup, and both were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The Reuben was piled high with meat. I had enough left over for another meal! I couldn't leave without trying the red velvet crinkle cookie, and I'm so glad I did. I saved it to share with my husband when I got home, and it was incredible. I found out the owner's daughter, a Culinary Institute graduate, made it, and you can definitely taste the quality. The beers are all pretty reasonably priced and the self-tap system works really well. I tried a bunch of different beers for under $5. If I'm in the Frankfort area again in the future, I am definitely going to stop in.

The BBQ was outstanding. The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring, was incredibly juicy, and had the perfect bark. The ribs were exactly how I like them--tender with a slightly sweet, sticky sauce that complemented the meat instead of overpowering it. The macaroni and cheese was good, but honestly, I'd make the drive again just for the BBQ. We've tried BBQ all over the Louisville area, and B & N Food Market is now our favorite.
