This was my first experience at a Jimmy John's so I didn't know what to expect. After a long busy day I realized that I hadn't eaten anything all day and I was running late so I spotted this place to grab a quick bite. The menu was a pretty standard for a sandwich shop, I got the ham and provolone. The young men working were very nice and answered my questions about the menu. My order was quickly prepared and I was on my way. They do have a few tables if you care to dine in but I got mine to go. Based on my visit I would recommend this place. Ok I rarely rate "fast food" but the low scores seem like a long time ago. Not sure who the big guy was at the counter but took our order quickly right at lunch time and happily made changes once I changed my mind from my normal to the new toasted. He quickly verified my earlier customizations and we got our order very quickly. Got to say, not sure if it was the anesthesia I was coming off for a medical procedure or 2 days of not eating, but the ultimate Italian toasted was probably one of the best 5 sandwiches I have eaten. I do not enjoy leaving bad reviews. I work in customer service as well. I have put off doing this for many months. I was going to just stop spending my money there after my honestly, terrible experience there but maybe its important if others read this too. It was 12/24/2023, Christmas Eve, and I had just gotten off work myself and my wife was home sick as a dog with the flu and my two daughters were home as well. I called in and placed our order for two turkey only sandwiches and one spicy italian for delivery. It arrived and my youngest daughter took one bite and said blah! tomatoes. No, those weren't tomatoes, those were spicy banana peppers that should have been in my sandwich and weren't. I called the store and the same guy I used to place my order answered. I told him they put peppers in my daughters sandwich. He said no, I made those myself, we definitely did not mess up. I said, wait, are you calling me a liar? I'm staring at her double meat turkey sandwich and its got spicy peppers on it. He said whatever man Merry Christmas, do you want a refund or something? I said my daughters are picky and I just want the sandwiches I paid for but I guess I get a refund for her sandwich she wont eat now. He said fine and hung up on me. I know its just a stupid sandwich. I know this. But maybe it was the stress of the holidays, my wife sick and being called a liar that I couldn't let go. I don't live far so I drove up there within five or so minutes. I walked in and asked for the guy who I was just speaking to and showed him the sandwich he messed up on. He then accused me of intentionally putting the wrong items in her sandwich and that sandwich was still no proof that he messed up. What was my master game plan here? Go through all this to get a refund on a nine dollar sandwich? He told me to get the Fuck out of the store. He said he was the manager, had been there and at other stores for six or so years. My family ordered sandwiches from them about once a week. I couldn't believe someone would talk and treat a customer this way. I said all I wanted was the correctly made sandwich I paid for and once he eventually made it. I left his wrong sandwich there and have not been back. I left a message with corporate but didn't follow through with a negative complaint then. We are all human. I've had bad days and said or done things I would like to redo at my job too. I have called back customers and apologized for my behavior. Will my lack of business hurt them? Nah, probably not but damn that was easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I'll find other places to spend my money at. Thanks for letting me vent. I get the #7 spicy east coast Italian w ez hot peppers and add sliced pickles and it's super yummy! their bread is so fresh and JJ never disappoints. Great job changing your hours. It says online they close at 10:00 pm so I drive all the way there and they're closed at 7:20 pm already. People don't even eat until 7 or 8 so it makes no sense closing this early. Yeah yeah, the corona thing happened but how is closing at peak hours going to help anyone... All you have to do is change your hours so we don't drive 13 miles when given every reason to believe they're open. read more

As with most Jimmy John's locations, the sandwiches here come out pretty fast. I will admit that I've had to wait on bread on a couple of occasions. Typically, this doesn't inconvenience me but when I'm in a hurry and the wait is longer than usual it throws a bit of a monkey wrench in my schedule. The food is good, nothing special. I have tried SO MANY times to let this place redeem themselves but you can't win. We call and place orders with them frequently. Customer service is horrible although I must say today Leonidas took my order today and he was the best. He was very thorough while taking my order. Every time we order here the order is wrong, they bring it EXTRA late meaning we have waited over an hour for delivery and was still charged for delivery and offered no free cookies or anything. I call today place the order and delivery guy brings it. He says I forgot the drink I will go back and get it. I was fine with that. But you bring a medium drink after I was charged for a large because that's what I ordered. He says where is the receipt it's a medium I show him the receipt and he says I can bring another one later LOL honestly just because you left it you should have brought a large whether or not I paid for a large or not. When I say we order from there we order big orders and it's ALWAYS something. Sandwiches wrong, delivery times, poor customer service. Needless to say it starts at the top which means management. I am so frustrated with this place. The first time i ordered for delivery, I ordered as soon as they opened and clicked as soon as possible for delivery. It was an hour and 40 minutes before it was delivered right down the street. my drink was completely melted. The second time i ordered i decided to pick an actual time to see if it would help. I picked 12:00. At 12:15, I checked and it hadn't even been out for delivery yet. I called over and over with no answer. I just want my money back at this point. I will never order from then again. Poor, poor performance from our Germantown's Jimmy John's. I placed an order for lunch delivery for two sandwiches and after taking a bite realized it was missing 3/4 of the meat. I called and spoke with the GM and she said they would be happy to make two new sandwiches. They were ordered, BUT get this...when the driver arrived, they wanted the other sandwiches back! The ones that had already been bitten into and discarded once new ones were promised. Knowing food that has already been opened and touched by a customer can't be taken back to the store for health considerations, I called the GM back asked what the problem was. She said that was their policy. I asked for the owner's name and she refused to give it to me. So, I sent the new sandwiches back with the driver and told the GM by law it must be thrown in the garbage bin. Based her attitude, she is probably eating them as we speak! read more

I went into this shop and received the worst service ever. I ordered a sandwich and asked for extra mayo. The young man who prepared my sandwich appeared to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. He did not put ANY mayo on the sandwich, he just about threw the sandwich to me, and when I asked for a bag... He handed the bag to me for me to bag my items myself. Once I discovered the sandwich was made incorrectly, I called back to speak to a manager. The person speaking alleged to be a manager. He was unprofessional, rude, and argumentative. He was also the same individual who prepared the sandwich. The alleged manager/drunk employee begin to argue with me about the mayo and was very condescending to my request to replace the sandwich. I contacted the corporate office about the ridiculous service I received. I have yet to hear back from the owner of this establishment. I will never frequent this location again and if you decide to, good luck getting what you order, a bag, or good custmer service. Two thumbs down for this location and shame on you all! read more

The attitude of the staff has been an ongoing problem & doesn't seem to change no matter how much time between visits. Like Subway, just cold cuts. Nothing special to any of it. Might as well just get precut, packaged meat and light bread at the grocery store. It would be much cheaper. Always mess up your order. I order from them due to the convenience of the fast delivery. However, their orders are always wrong, rarely get all the items you order or the correct sandwich, it is either one or the other. Since I am a night nurse I cannot call and get things changed, by the time we have dinner JJ is closed, I eat whatever I get pretty much. However today I have reached the end of the rope. Between that and the tip cost $17 to get the food !! They did not tell me the delivery fee on the phone when I ordered and gave me a total charge with a $2.00 delivery fee. I do not understand all the hype about this place. I paid over $5 with tax for a sandwich on stale, tasteless white bread with meat and veggies that all tasted like cardboard, too. The noise level of the loud music blaring and all the employees (I counted 6 or 7) standing around talking plus the dark black and red decor (reminds me of an AutoZone), would have made trying to eat there very unappetizing. Someone gave me a gift card, but I won't be redeeming it. Once in a lifetime was one time too many for me. At least with Subway you have a selection of bread, many more meat selections, the toppings of your choice, and they'll toast your sandwich if you want. At this place they have one bread choice, white, the veggie selections are iceberg lettuce and tomatoes (that were under ripe), and the only condiment on my sandwich was mayonnaise, all of which were automatically put on the sandwich. The provolone cheese was hard and dry. The meat had a slight smoky hint, but it was virtually flavorless. The consistency of everything was very chewy. I choked down about half of it and felt like I had a rock in my stomach the rest of the evening. Oh, and you get it one way... cold. I could have gotten a toasted footlong Subway for the same price and gotten two meals out of it. I'm not that crazy about Subway, but it beats this place hands down. I will say the employees were fast and polite, too fast actually because they never asked what I wanted on it and acted as if they were in a race to finish it and get me out the door so as to get back to their gabbing. They just slapped it together, wrapped it up, and within 30 seconds they were done. I like to be able to differentiate between the taste of the sandwich and the paper it's wrapped in.
