The manager, Mikki, likes to berate her employees, swearing at them and calling them names. Some examples include telling them they're "useless," "too stupid to work at McDonalds", and are "effing idiots." But with more...colorful....language. Super disappointing when an establishment allows this kind of leadership. It trickles down and leads to poor customer service from employees, which I've also experienced here. Employees have often been short-tempered and rude. Not impressed and will gladly drive the extra five minutes to go to the next closest location should I need a Jimmy John's sandwich that badly. read more

Just visited today, in person. I had a large order for work to pick up. Everyone said hello! Then I was asked "how can we help you"? This Jimmy John's is so clean and friendly! My order was perfectly prepared which included about 18 sandwiches, special requests on those sandwiches, chips, and a few beverages. It was spot on! Thank you all for your hospitality. Food was good service was so horrible, i went threw the drive thru with a friend on July 9 around 2:50ish, when we got there the guy sounded so done and not welcoming. It made us feel honestly scared to order because we didn't want attitude. They never asked if we had rewards when we pulled to the drive thru and the guy was frowning practically, i understand it could have been a bad day for him but service should always be welcoming no matter what. We had two separate sub orders and when i got mine he said "have a good day" and i said to him "we have another sub" and instead of him being like "i'm sorry" and owning up to it, he just said "i know" and shut the window upsettingly. horrible experience. Worst Jimmy John in the area to go to. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra couple of miles to the cottonwood location. I ordered through the app for my wife to pick up. When she got there my order was done but was not placed in the pick up area. My wife ask them to check and they keep insisting to look at the pickup area. After 20 minutes my wife asked them to check but the girl at the counter kept insisting to look at the pickup area. Then another worked came up and ask and she went to the pick up area to look and didn't see it, but remember my name and realized where my order was. Nothing really to review since the last 2 times we went to the Balsam Jimmy John's they refused to serve us because it was a "shift change" and asked us to come back in 15 minutes. Not sure what time they open but this shift change was at 215pm, seems weird. read more

We love Jimmy John's - but this place is so disappointing!! The moldy cheese was one thing, but they constantly forget things in our orders. Most recently, I got home and realized they missed one of our sandwiches. I called and they acknowledged the error and invited me to come back to pick it up with no apology. When I asked if someone could drop it off when they had their next delivery, they said we loved too far away (we live 2 miles away...and how do you know where we live just based on my phone number?!). We didn't have the option of going back, so they "put two free subs on our account" for the inconvenience/error - except they didn't. I am so over it. I was surprised when they said they're names weren't all Jimmy. I've also had a great experience with their delivery service. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! The 2 staff members that helped us were so rude! Which is why they are only getting a 1 star! (there is a picture of them in the photos) DATE OF VISIT: July 31, 2015 TIME FRAME: around 6:00pm LOCATION: Located in a small strip mall next to the Family Fare on 28th Ave in Hudsonville. The strip mall is on the east side of the street. Cross streets are Port Sheldon & 28th Ave. STORE: Was clean for the most part. The "club like" music was SO LOUD, I mean REALLY LOUD, you couldn't hear yourself talking. Other patrons said something about the music levels but the staff did nothing. STAFF: When we came in no one said anything to us, when we were ready to order the man (in the picture I provided) took our order, he never looked at us the whole time we ordered, he just stared out the windows, then half way through our order he walked away and started talking to another guy that was toward the back, then he walked back and continued to stare out the window (never said excuse me or sorry for leaving while we were ordering), my husband started to order again and he turned and talked to the girl that was making the orders (she is in the picture too), then said to my husband " what was that" because he clearly didn't hear what my husband said for his portion of the order. At the end of our order he said "is that it" and I replied "yes", he gave me the total (all while NEVER once looking at us & staring out the window), I gave him my payment, he flicked it back at me, by this time there were some other people behind us who witnessed all of this interaction. We moved over to wait for our order. Got our sandwiches from the girl who NEVER said a word to us, no hi, no thanks, NOTHING. I was looking for some mayo & asked her if she could put some in a little container (not knowing they had packets) and she rudely said, "I can't I have packets", I said "that would be fine" and she literally tossed them on the counter & my husband and I had to pick them up. I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH RUDE PEOPLE!!! The other 2 workers that were present were doing other things. We ate our food and on our way out the family that had been right behind us in line, stopped us and said how rude those 2 staffers were. FOOD: Tasted fine, was as ordered. Prices are alright, nothing great. Would I return to this location......NEVER!!!!! Those 2 staffers were COMPLETELY RUDE!! read more

Friendly staff, clean environment - nice place to sit down and take a break! I love the flavor of the bread. Oh and you have to try something on whole-wheat. Super-thick slices! I like the quality of the meat a lot. I love Arby's (separate review on them) but not all roast-beef is equal! You get what you get at the deli. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I'm not a provolone cheese fan (can't pick different cheeses). I had earned rewards through doing online orders AT THIS location and then when I went to redeem my 1st reward AT THIS location I was told that they were not able to redeem it there and would have to go to another Jimmy John's location. I am not a fan of the subs made here. I hate the restricted options served here. Only 1 kind of cheese and if you want an altered sandwich. You can only take stuff off. Once you get the sub, the insides of the bread have been pulled out so much that it is VERY limp. Falls out of the bread as you try to eat it.
