The food is homemade and they have the absolute best onion rings I've ever had in my life! The soup and sandwich special is what I often get for lunch. They have the most delicious chicken salad toasted sandwich. Now, be aware, everyone is nice here... but this is farm country meaning: you will find mainly white older gentlemen in overalls and MAGA hats, you probably will be stared at if you look different (i.e. not white), and it's not uncommon to smell a gentle waft of manure around lunch time if they took a break from spreading that morning. Common questions I've been asked by other customers: "What church do you go to?" "That's an interesting book you're reading can you tell me about it?" "It's awful busy today, we should just share a booth." People are nice around here. It's conservative, but also surprisingly curious. Help bring some diversity and pay The Arrows a visit. You won't regret it. Take a look at their pastry shelf. It's almost quite literally, eye candy. Enjoy!

I…read moredon't get to Allendale very often (maybe twice a year) so when I was heading to Grand Valley's campus for an event recently, I made sure to allow extra time to stop by. The parking lot in front is pretty small, and there is only one access point, so if you go past it, you'll have to turn around near the apartments behind it. Don't drive on the sidewalk... I didn't, mostly because there is a sign that says, "This is a sidewalk" which made me laugh. (Truly that should be an entrance into the parking lot!) The space is very bright and airy with cute decor and space to get some work or studying done. I was greeted right away when I walked in and I had a tough time deciding what to order. I wasn't hungry, but I love that they have a full on food menu - including salads, burgers(!!!), bagels, toasts, paninis, pastries, etc. Plus all the regular coffee items, boba, smoothies, and teas. I went with one of the seasonal specials, the banana bread matcha. It didn't take too long to come out and it was very tasty - not really what I was expecting, but I liked it. It reminded me of a very green banana (which is how I prefer bananas), it wasn't super sweet but also not super matcha-y. They are expanding their space, so I am interested in coming back to see what that looks like and to order more delicious drinks and try the food!

I love the healthier food options they have, but you never have to twist my arm for their panini and tater tots as well! The lot across the street is unpaved and we came home with mud caked shoes. My partner and I were both disappointed in our food. I had the perch, which would've been OK except the plate was swimming in a runny mayonnaise based sauce. The fries fish and slaw were soaked with it. I asked for a small plate so I could quickly move the food off of the sauce. When I asked for tartar sauce, they stated that was the tartar sauce. I suggest if you order the perch, ask for the sauce on the side. The naan dip had very little taste or seasoning. It had a horseradish sauce that was bland. When my partner asked for more horseradish, they didn't have any. It is a nice location with a beautiful view of the golf course.

It is such a chill environment with a beautiful view. Our latest visit I got the stuffed French toast and my husband got the pancakes. Both were excellent. The maple bourbon syrup on my pancakes was delicious as was the Lincoln berry jam on his ricotta pancakes. It has to be really good to tempt him to order something sweet and he was so glad he did! We also treated our self by splitting a Miller high life 40 which they serve bottle style chilled on ice with two champagne flutes. Which is both Elegant and hilariously fun.

I suppose the food is fine enough, but I've had several subpar experiences with their mussels here. It's not a hipster establishment, but the prices do make one question this restaurant's lore. I cannot reconcile the high price with the lack of quantity, regardless of "quality." Truly, I always come back because it's close to home and albeit sounds good, but Pepino's happy hour menu can't be beat imo. They also have nice pasta and it's only $10 on Thursdays instead of $15-23. I understand that Licari's is upscale Sicilian, but I think I prefer establishments that deliver on food and price rather than just talking a big game. Sorry Licari's. $30+ dollars for a salad and a drink is a bit much... I did see some happy hour special for bruschetta and a drink for $15. However, I probably won't come back to try it.

Very tasty with a fresh garlic taste. My only complaint is they don't give you enough sauce to go with it. I had read that they have one of the best pizzas in Michigan. So I ordered a small Amore Pizza ($20). This has House-made sausage, ham, bacon, pineapple, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce. I got mine without the pineapple. The pizza was good. It just wasn't special. The ingredients all seemed tasty enough. The crust wasn't my favorite, but I didn't dislike it either. I brought some home and I liked it even less cold. I've had so many better pizzas. Not sure how people think it's the best. The service was outstanding. Definitely service with a smile and enthusiasm. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? For the pizza, no. Maybe to try something else. It is definitely an above average place, just maybe not for me.
