While ordering my food I witnessed this maybe 16yr or 17yr old girl putting in the bread in the oven. Which shouldn't be allowed. Only 18 y/o and over can operate the oven to bake the bread. (used to work at Jimmy Johns in Seattle when I first graduated High school) I brush it off and continued to order my sandwich to this very tall man with substantial amount of facial hair that made me iffy about him making my sandwich. I saw his name tag(just in case my sandwich came out with hair) named Alex .While i go sit down to eat my sandwich I see a customer walk in requesting to speak with the manager. The manager turns out to be Alex, the man who made my sandwich. I then see the manager turn the music in the store up very loud and go towards the back kitchen. I have to interrupt my lunch break to get up from my seat and ask him to kindly to turn the music down. There's no one at the counter. I then try to peak my head to the back kitchen and witnessed the most horrifying, uncomfortable image I could have ever witness as a customer who just wanted a fast meal and a quite place to eat it at. He sees me from the corner of his eye (I assume) and he jerked around while the other girl (who didn't see me) attempted to pull him back, he then almost pushed her off to attend me. I then asked if he could please turn down the music, the thirty five to fourty year old manager couldn't even look me in the eye he was so embarrassed THAT I HAD ALMOST CERTAINLY WITNESSED HIM BEING INAPPROPRIATE AT WORK LET ALONE WITH A TEENAGER. The manager then proceeded to tell me "Yes man we'll turn it down for ya . Besides we shouldn't have it on too loud or the speakers will fall again". Keep in mind the speakers are on the wall up high. This is a huge safety hazard FOR ANYONE GOING INTO THE STORE!!! Therefore, WARNING: DO NOT SIT/ STAND UNDER THE SPEAKERS WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING LOUD MUSIC!!! Also, WARNING: To parents in the area of Kenmore, DO NOT ALLOW YOUR TEENAGE DAUGHTERS WORK FOR THIS CREEP! I go to this Jimmy John's all the time and have never had a problem. Today when my friend and I were ordering a wrap we asked if we could substitute one of the meats. The person helping us let us know that they don't normally substitute meats. That's totally fine, I've worked good service before and I completely understand. So instead we asked if we could just have the meat removed, no substitution. Out of no where the female manager (?) responds in a very rude tone, "well you still are paying for it". We both say that that's completely fine, we aren't asking for anything for free! She then proceeds to be very short and snippy with us. Like I said, I've working food service before and I understand that sometimes there are hard days but we were being nothing but polite only to get that sort of attitude back... leaves a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I tried to order a turkey tom sandwich through the drive thru and they said I couldn't add cheese to the sandwich. They were very adamant that no changes could be made with the sandwich. At first I thought it was a joke, but the guy on the speaker kept saying they couldn't alter anything. To head to the garden a pick fresh vegetables an then cut into perfect slices. To slay the pig then roast an slice onto the sandwich for ultimate freshness. I hate to give a new business a bad review but oh my god. Here goes. Ok so its another Jimmy Johns so my expectations weren't really set high. Came in a couple days ago and ordered a #9 and a #3 to go at around 1 o clock. It was slightly busy but nothing too bad. At least this time they weren't out of bread which happens way too often when I come through the drive-thru. Like c'mon, I understand if its late at night or they're about to close but in the afternoon? Doesn't this place open at 10? Or the other week they were out of soda. All these factors put together makes the place seem, well, poorly run. And that's disappointing because I was sure looking forward to having a new business in Kenmore as we don't have many around here. But back to the sandwich. Usually I wouldn't even bother writing a review for fast food, but when I opened the wrap, here's what I saw. The lettuce on top was brown. I don't know if it was dirt or if it was just old...but gross. And the onions weren't even circular, but instead chopped in these oblong pieces they looked almost chewed on. One of the tomatoes still had its stem and they were using the end pieces. For 8 dollars, I am expecting a whole lot more. At least the Totem Lake store by my house actually makes their sandwiches well, despite their other faults. As far as the tuna, when my daughter tried it, she brought it right back and said that it was too soupy. I thought she was just being picky but when I looked inside, the tuna, was indeed runny and full of this juice I couldn't even distinguish the tuna pieces. It also smelled old. I threw it away. I've never had issues before when I came here around dinner time to pick up sandwiches but I'm sure never coming back. The quality is ridiculous and whoever is in charge of prepping everything needs to be retrained because serving that kind of product and charging that much is absurd. read more

Normally this location is perfectly fine and I've been here numerous times since it opened, but in the past two months I've gotten the roast beef sandwich twice and gotten sick from it both times. I overlooked my previous sandwiches having wilted brown lettuce because hey, it's edible, but I can't excuse getting sick from what I'm eating. Well, I just went to a Jimmy John's for the first time in my life a few minutes ago, and I ordered a Beach Club, which is based on Turkey, and when I got home I found it difficult to taste the turkey. "This is worse than Subway" I thought, but then I looked and looked and never found the turkey in the sandwich. I think they forgot! I was there about five minutes from closing, and maybe the prep person was distracted, and the other ingredients were fresh enough, so I pretended I had a vegetable sandwich, and I was hungry so I ate it. But I'll be sure and check my sandwich immediately and carefully if I ever go there again. read more

Not sure who is in charge of the hiring process here, but we have had frustrating experiences the last 4 times we've visited! I've been handed the wrong order on multiple occasions, even when I'm the only patron in the building at the time. My orders have been incorrect numerous times. Some of the staff of nice and personable, but mostly I've been greeted with minimal hospitality at best. Quality of ingredients are good, it's getting the right ones on your sandwich that seems to be the hard part. I tried to give the location a second, third, and fourth chance but enough is enough. How does a sandwich shop run out of bread? We know we showed up approximately 20 minutes to closing on a Tuesday evening, but one would think that a sandwich shop would have bread. We were going to order two #5s but they did not have any bread. They could only make a wrap. They did refer us to go to the location in Bothell. This is the highest qaulity sandwich place i know i got a sandwhich a nd it spelled out delicious from the start my sandwhich was delivered by a kind and quick working boy named Andrew. I've been here a few times and it's the same every time. They don't greet you with a hello like all the other Jimmy Johns around the US. This time it was 3 sandwiches, 4 employees, and 10 minutes to get our food. SLOOOW. At least the sandwiches are the same as other JJs but not fast as they advertise on their shirts and walls. This is the worst place ever they are very unprofessional and they have been delivering to us for a few months and we are .4 miles away and all of the sudden they don't want to deliver to us. We have ordered over ten times and never had issues until today I can't believe they would just all of the sudden stop delivering to our business when we tip very well and order a lot. Sorry to see the poorly trained girl at the counter who stood there and looked at me like I was from Mars, she could not say Hi, welcome or even May I take your Order. She was pretty though, for a Robot I guess thats suppose to be a pass on hospitalilty and appreciation for any new customers that come in. Food was great, service horrible.
