I placed an order for a box of sandwiches for my son's birthday party. When I arrived to pick them up, I was told the order was for the wrong date. They claimed they had called me to confirm, but I received no call, voicemail, or text. The manager refused to help or remake the sandwiches, telling me they "didn't have time." This left us scrambling with no food for a birthday party full of guests. My husband went down there 30 minutes later, and suddenly they were able to make the sandwiches--but made him pay for the entire order again. I later called asking for a refund on the original order we never received, and they refused. Even after speaking with the district manager Matt, who offered no apology or solution, I was told it was "my word against the manager's". They're not freaky fast. I sat at the drive through window for 10 minutes waiting on a sandwich. They weren't that busy, so I have no idea why it took that long. I don't know why I went back to this location today after having bad experiences several other times. But, I did, so I guess what happened today can be construed as my fault. I went through the drive-thru and made my usual JJ's order. The reason I drove through was that I was on my way to something and didn't have time to waste. My order took forever, nowhere near the "freaky fast" that is advertised, it was more like "sluggishly slow." When I arrived at my destination (late), my Club Lulu, which was supposed to be made with turkey, was made with ham. As that sandwich also has bacon on it, it was so salty to be nearly inedible. I'm not sure if it's management or just the employees that are there, but there seems to be a real lack of training or ability to think outside of a little square. I went there today by myself to pick up three sandwiches, and three bags of chips. When they called me up to grab my sandwiches, the guy who prepared my sandwich set my three sandwiches on the counter. While I'm standing there holding three bags of chips, I asked if I could have a bag. He initially reached for the small sandwich bag that they always try to shove two or more sandwiches into. (Yes happened last time as well and had to carry the chips separately) I stopped him and asked if I could please have the larger bag. He opens it up and sets it in front of me and while I'm trying to lower my sandwiches into the bag, he walks away. I just thought what the F. And said I guess I'll get it myself. So I juggled all the food over to a table and loaded my stuff up. I don't know what they think that I have 15 hands? But what really got to me was there was an older gentleman - who I believe was the manager there that filled up his drink, and I know he heard the whole thing, but he just turned around and walked down the hall into an office. I don't understand the lack of capacity for Customer Service. It's an effing bag. And don't be so damn cheap about it. I think you can afford a $.10 bag when I just spent $50 at your location. The sandwiches are always good, so kudos for that. But what a frustration to deal with the nimrods that are there, especially the management that doesn't give a crap. Went to the drive thru today to order my standard, #4 - turkey tom combo meal. Sticker on the drive-through showed that the combo meal was one dollar extra and the sandwich was $9.25. When I got to the drive-through window, the attendant told me my order was $17.35. I asked her why the combo was so expensive. I thought it was only a dollar more than the sandwich which was just $9.25. She told me that I had to ask for the one dollar combo when I was ordering the sandwich at the drive-through I couldn't ask for it at the window... But did I want her to change the order to the one dollar combo. I said yes, please. (By the way, I've gone to other Jimmy John's and they just charge me the one dollar extra for the combo. I didn't know it was something you had to order in advance...) She walked back into the restaurant and a man came to the window and told me that he was the general manager, and that his owner stated specifically that they could not honor the one dollar combo price, that I had to order it in advance when I was at the screen and that he would not give me the combo deal. So...I said thank you very much and drove off. So much for taking care of the customer and doing what's right. This was really disappointing and I won't be back to this location. read more

I've been craving Jimmy John's lately and happened to stop by to pick up a Turkey Tom. They aren't even joking when they say they are fast. The food is just okay but the drive through service is incredibly slow. Maybe it was a newer employee but we had to repeat our order three times and then when we got home we realized items we'd paid for were left out of the order. I think this can also be partially attributed to these times of covid, but we purchased two $15 boxes (should include cookies and chips and pickles) and two diet sodas. We got home with no pickles and no chips. Our Bill for two people was over $33 and we didn't get what we paid for. Truly disappointing. So caveat: check your bag before you pull away! read more

Similar to MANY reviews of this place, my unfortunate dealings with this store is the same. I ordered a bourbon, and when i got home i realized i ended up getting a completely different sandwich that was definitely not worth the price. It wasn't even busy at the time, mind you. So i call up, politely state the problem, and the manager or whoever it was said he would "leave a note under the till" so when i return i can get a free sandwich instead of a refund. Ok, sounds good. I call back the next day and a lady answers, we tell her the guy who we called put a message under the till, so she checks and ofc he never did it. And adding to that, the lady then said "the store is closing soon and we are busy" like she didn't give a single care and wanted me out of her hair. Staff went the extra mile to correct a faulty takeout order due to one of those "I thought you meant" moments. We should have checked the sandwich before leaving, but they were friendly and apologetic, quickly making up a new one. Will definitely take out from them again. Wish I could give this less than one star, but my recent experience completely correlates with every other review on here. Stopped by last Saturday. Walked in with 3 people making sandwiches on the line, one person ringing, one guy working the drive thru window, and another guy tending to bread. There was one guy waiting for his sandwich. I ordered my veggie on wheat no mayo, like I do every single time I go to JJ's. They finished making the other guy's order, and I waited. Waited. Waited... figured they were making drive thru orders or something. A lady walks in behind me and orders 3 sandwiches, then hers come up before mine. I had been waiting probably 10 minutes by that point. Nobody said anything to me. I stood right in front of them, not a word. Finally I said could someone cancel my order because I had been waiting for so long. They fumbled around, some girl said she made the order...she didn't. I'd watched the last guy hand out slims and French bread orders. None were on wheat. Apparently the ringer did not ring in my order correctly. Instead of making my order right then, they put it at the end of the line...and continued to make other customers sandwiches. I finally said again, after 15 minutes to cancel my order. I saw they had FINALLY finished my sandwich, the kid managing at the time decided to take my sandwich off the ledge so I couldn't pick it up. They credited my money and kept the sandwich. Absolutely WORST JJ's experience I have EVER had. I'm a pretty frequent customer from Kansas City, to all over Kirkland, and Bellevue/Redmond area. They need to hire some competent people. A brand spankin new Jimmy Johns near my house with a drive thru just opened so I stopped by (been there total of 3X). Anytime a new restaurant opens, there's always few kinks which usually smoothes out in a couple months. This is a given and I always factor it in. Having said that, the employees here are generally nice but incompetent. Jimmy Johns prides itself on speed and for a restaurant with a drive thru, they are painfully slow. Order taker/cashier always seem to need some kind of assistance and they've messed up on my order two times out of three. The most recent visit, I asked for avocado on a sub and they literally spread the avocado so thin, it resembled butter on toast. I had to peel apart the sandwich to check if there were any. I saw a tinge of green. 60 cents extra. (eye roll) There seems to be a surplus of employees but not enough customers to justify the labor percentage. If you get that many teenagers in one spot without much to do, usually your productively gets comprised. And this time my sandwich was too. read more

While ordering my food I witnessed this maybe 16yr or 17yr old girl putting in the bread in the oven. Which shouldn't be allowed. Only 18 y/o and over can operate the oven to bake the bread. (used to work at Jimmy Johns in Seattle when I first graduated High school) I brush it off and continued to order my sandwich to this very tall man with substantial amount of facial hair that made me iffy about him making my sandwich. I saw his name tag(just in case my sandwich came out with hair) named Alex .While i go sit down to eat my sandwich I see a customer walk in requesting to speak with the manager. The manager turns out to be Alex, the man who made my sandwich. I then see the manager turn the music in the store up very loud and go towards the back kitchen. I have to interrupt my lunch break to get up from my seat and ask him to kindly to turn the music down. There's no one at the counter. I then try to peak my head to the back kitchen and witnessed the most horrifying, uncomfortable image I could have ever witness as a customer who just wanted a fast meal and a quite place to eat it at. He sees me from the corner of his eye (I assume) and he jerked around while the other girl (who didn't see me) attempted to pull him back, he then almost pushed her off to attend me. I then asked if he could please turn down the music, the thirty five to fourty year old manager couldn't even look me in the eye he was so embarrassed THAT I HAD ALMOST CERTAINLY WITNESSED HIM BEING INAPPROPRIATE AT WORK LET ALONE WITH A TEENAGER. The manager then proceeded to tell me "Yes man we'll turn it down for ya . Besides we shouldn't have it on too loud or the speakers will fall again". Keep in mind the speakers are on the wall up high. This is a huge safety hazard FOR ANYONE GOING INTO THE STORE!!! Therefore, WARNING: DO NOT SIT/ STAND UNDER THE SPEAKERS WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING LOUD MUSIC!!! Also, WARNING: To parents in the area of Kenmore, DO NOT ALLOW YOUR TEENAGE DAUGHTERS WORK FOR THIS CREEP!
