I went there during my lunch break. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was a foul odor. I'm not sure why, but it stunk in there. I almost left at this point, but I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Turkey Breast sub, got back in my car and drove to work. Opened up the wrapper to find a strand of hair on the meat. At this point I'm so hungry, I'm actually debating whether to just remove the hair and eat the damn thing. I decide to look up reviews on the place. I find out they have a history of poor cleanliness and hygiene problems that resulted in a stomach flu outbreak... I ditch the sub. I can wait until I get off work to eat. I should have gone to Subway, this was a waste of my lunch break and money. read more

I really like the tuna salad sandwiches here, and the delivery is convenient on days I can't get out of the office. Also, I take back what I said about it not being popular with locals, it's usually quite busy but so fast you can get in and out of there in 5 minutes. I've also realized there are lots of add-ons that you can get, similar to Subway. Their kettle chips are really good too. I'm a fan and hope this franchise sticks around here. read more

I don't get the hype. The most bland, dry, tasteless sandwich I've ever had. The bread is so tough it hurt my teeth. I literally had to search for the guacamole in between the slices of cheese, and the Italian dressing was nowhere to be found. Blasting music tops off the visit, with my jaw hurting from trying to tear the bread apart to my headache from the rock music (don't get me wrong I love rock music). I would take subway sandwiches any day over this place. At least there you get it your way ;-) FYI- a kids sandwich is bread and meat. That's it...no cheese, no lettuce, nothing. You have to upgrade to a larger sandwich to get anything else on it. read more

This is the second time we've ordered from Jimmy and the sandwiches are good and the delivery fast... BUT both times we ordered they botched the order. We paid for toppings we didn't get, got toppings we didn't order, got the wrong drinks, and (last time) they put the same name on all the sandwiches. This is too expensive to never get what we order the way we ordered it. Strike-two Jimmy. :-( On the positive (besides the fact that I love their funny commercials), one of the higher ups in the company called me on the phone about the complaint email I sent and assured me that they take customer service very seriously and are working with the new store in Kennewick to get it right. Apparently, I'm to expect a call from management soon related to my recent order experiences. So, it sounds like they are trying to get it right and that's encouraging. It is a new store, so they deserve a little slack there too I suppose. Despite the problems with both of our orders, the food really was very good! I have no problem recommending Jimmy's as a good place to eat... just check your order before you leave or before the delivery person leaves your doorstep. Hopefully they'll get it right. :) ...and when they do, my rating will improve. Right now they're just another variety of "Subway" shop... nothing to write home about (and I can't recall Subway every screwing up my order). It's cool that Jimmy delivers (and FAST), but what's the use if the orders are wrong every time? Update: 6/5/13 - Still no call from management as promised. :( Update: 6/12/13 - Still no call from management, but I got a cute little gift card in the mail for $10 worth of food on our next visit. haha.... That hardly buys one sandwich and we paid close to $70 (plus tips) for the two orders they messed up. Silly silly Jimmy. ;) Oh well... I'll give them a few months and then maybe try again, once they get settled in and the new employees get used to the program. I don't understand the hype. For the price, why not just go to Subway and get twice as much sandwich and double the toppings?! The bread at Jimmy John's was tough and felt day-old. Toppings were sparse, yet the "light mayo" I requested was loaded on. My husband ended up wiping off the avocado spread off his sandwich. He said it had an odd taste (just like another review had said). Left a gross taste in his mouth. To be fair, the meat, cheese, and veggies did taste fresh and had good flavor. They got our order right, and had it ready for pickup. I just don't think Jimmy John's is anything special. After paying $8.50 for a sandwich, I'd much rather go do Quizno's, or even get a gourmet burger somewhere else! read more

I'm not one to usually post negative reviews, but... this is possibly the worst Jimmy Johns I've been to. The staff is constantly standing around, being loud and obnoxious, and on their phones. Deliver times are far from "freaky fast" at any given time in the day. On several occasions I've waited over 30 minutes for a sandwich. The dine in experience is not better. read more

The company I work for is ALWAYS ordering from Jimmy Johns and from what I had it was a Great sandwich. I FINALLY got my husband to go into the store to eat the other day. we get there and the first thing we do is look at the menu to figure out what we want. I am not a huge meat eater and was happy to see they had a veggie sandwich. So we go up and tell the guy our order. My husband goes first and says...he wants he number 4. immediatly the guy making the sandwich asks about cheese my husband says yes i want cheese and then says can i get that with no mayo. The employee just looked at us rolled his eyes and grabbed another piece of bread, as he already had the mayo and half the sandwich done before by husband could confirm if he wanted cheese or not. Then they took my order and I said I wanted a number 6 (which is the veggie) and no mayo. we paid and waited for our sandwiches. a few seconds later they are done and we sit down. were looking at them and they both have 4 written on the outside...i'm like well maybe they just wrote the wrong number down. we open them up and sure enough they are both a number 4. So i went back up to the front counter. (there had been no other orders since we placed ours) and told them that I asked for a number 6 not a number 4. they were like ok we will fix that. So i went and back to the table to let my husband know they were remaking it and then went back to grab my sandwich where i can hear that guy telling the girl who is making my sandwich that i clearly ordered the number 4 and that I just wanted a new sandwich. Not impressed. but great full that they remade my sandwich which was made quickly as well I took my sandwich and sat down. by now my husband is 1/2 way through his sandwich. I open it up and its still wrong. This time it was the number 6 but it was made with mayo. So again I go back to the front counter and tell them its still wrong I ordered it with out mayo the lady who made my sandwich both times, Said i'm sorry You did not say you wanted it with no mayo and I forgot how you wanted it from the first order. Really! you just made the first one a min ago and made the replacement. You could not remember that the ticket said no mayo. She asked if I wanted to have her remake it and I said No thanks at this point i just want a refund. You have messed up 2 sandwiches already and my husband was pretty much done eating at this point. If you want your order to be correct then you should order it online. otherwise they are not so great with listening to what is being said and making the sandwich as you ordered it. Or Turn down the music. I love music to be load and upbeat as much as the next person, However to have it so loud your customer almost have to scream to get heard when placing a order it a little two load. Also there was soo many employees there it looked cramped. we saw 5-7 delivery cars parked, and behind the counter there was 10+ employees working in the back. We alone had 4 people helping us by the time we were done. I would not go back to this place after that experience. read more

This location has the worst drive through setup I have ever seen. They share a building with Taco Time, which takes the majority of the drive through room. If you go to the Jimmy Johns drive through you are supposed to wait at a light that has stop/go to let you know when you can go ahead to the Jimmy Johns drive through and not block those in line at Taco Time from exiting their line. I have gone there at least 3 times for lunch and waited at the light to only have other cars continuously cut in front of me or go around me, then block the Taco Time drive through line from being able to exit. I have complained to Management who claims there is nothing they can do. How about making the drive through situation more obvious, to avoid the confused line cutters, and refusing to serve those who cut in line without sending them to the back of the line. I will no longer return to this location because of this. read more

The #9 sandwich looks good, except when you eat it. There was one extremely thin, folded turkey meat that looked wilted alongside one provolone cheese, so it was even hard to discern the turkey taste in the whole sandwich. The predominant taste of the sandwich was the cucumber, tomato, and salad. read more

They apparently don't wash after using the bathroom. I really super appreciated the throwing up all night and early morning after eating there. I went 7 times and this happened the my last visit. Have not returned. They make you pick a star. I personally give it zero stars. read more

So...apparently this place was closed for a day (June 5th 2014) due to some Noro Virus contamination. And the Noro Virus is basically the stomach flu. A lot of people gave them 1 star due to the news. I never read the news paper so I didn't know about this. However, the I've ordered 6 times so far in the current month of June (So its almost once / twice a week.) My husband, my brother and myself have not gotten sick once yet. So..I don't know what the whole Noro Virus thing is about. I'm not a huge fan of subs but the reason why is because they were "freaky" fast and cheap. It really depends on what subs you get because some are okay while others are really good. I tried their 8-grain sandwich today (it was a basic turkey, lettuce, tomato and mayo) and it was actually very good. I had the same thing on a french bread but it was not as good. I also like their tuna sandwich (even though I'm not a huge fan of tuna) I just like to add more mayo. I do also like the fact that you can customize your sandwich completely. I wouldn't try the avocado spread though, it was a weird taste (or maybe its just the processed avocado taste :/) Either way, eat here if you want since it is pretty cheap but if you're really scared of the stomach flu then make your own food (I mean, its really not that hard to make a sandwich...) I like it so far, so I'm going to keep experimenting around with them. It also probably helps the fact that I wash my hands (a lot) before and after eating food. ** Edit Also real quick, to the one who was complaining about be charged for extra cheese and having no pickles. I'm sorry but..have you not been to other sandwich like restaurants? Every single one I've been to charge a bit more for cheese (even subway!) Also, they do sell pickles in three different way. I think you're being fairly cheap if you don't want to spend one dollar on a whole pickle (not like a slice but a WHOLE pickle.) Great sandwiches made fast and well. This location opened in May 2013, they may have started off with a few wrinkles but as of now (November,) they are an awesome stop. I've been through their drive thru and gotten my food before my change before. The employees all pretty much seem like they love their jobs and they have a lot of fun while working, that says a lot to me. This was the first time we've been to a Jimmy Johns and despite all the hype its been getting, we left not so impressed. The music was SO loud I could hardly think about what I wanted to order...don't get me wrong I love some good tunes, but this was overwhelming. The first thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the two employees in line in front of us that took forever to place their order between chatting with their co-workers. Every customer service job I've worked at employees are required to go to the back of the line and wait if customers are waiting to order, just sayin' thought that was poor form. Second thing, you have to pay extra for cheese!...really in a sandwich shop?? Also they don't have sliced pickle as a topping which I found strange and I LOVE pickles (they will give you a whole one if you want to pay $1.30...I don't love them that much!) For a smaller sandwich shop I was surprised how many employees they had working/standing around. I understand its also a drive through and they want to be quick, but why don't you save money and staff less people and not make your patrons pay extra for cheese..also don't make us go on a treasure hunt for napkins. If i'm going to eat a messy sub don't hide them behind the counter and make me ask. Of course like any new restaurant there's room for improvement and kinks will be worked out. The sandwiches themselves were good, nothing out of this world but satisfying. Good variety on the menu and the price was reasonable. The chips were awesome and overall the staff was friendly...guess i'll just have to bring my own sliced pickles next time read more
