This location is such an unpredictable and usually rubbish representation of the brand. They fail to support scheduled deliveries in a timely manner, ASAP delivery rarely lives up to the name, and when called out for their low standards and lack of attention to detail, a manager will threaten to hang up on you rather than take ownership of the flaws. I wish I could say the food was redeeming, but the long delays and haphazard handling of your order will undoubtedly leave you with a unredeemable soggy mess of a sandwich. As for the retail location, frequently have staff moved into one of the few tables idling while there is work to be done. Leaves little doubt that the leadership fails to promote customer service and work ethic. Will change to five stars if they turn down the super loud music. The food is good-fresh bread, nice portions of meat and veg on the sandwiches, decent customer service...but the music is so loud I can't even make my order heard. I'd eat here more often if my head didn't ache and my ears go numb after a quick meal. This place is between offices I work in and would be my lunch stop two or three times a week if I didn't HATE that incredibly loud, annoying cacophony that rattles my teeth. On 3/15/22, I placed a lunch order online. I waited for an hour and a half for delivery and never received it. I called the store and asked that my order be canceled and a refund be issued, since I didn't know how much longer it would be. I had to go out to get lunch and when I returned my order was on my desk. My coworker said she found my food and drink outside!! There was absolutely no way I was going to eat or drink what was left behind. I assume that's why I wasn't given the refund I requested. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I order from this location quite often but that was certainly my last time. It's been 2 weeks and these people are refusing to refund my money. I was told via email the I would have to call the store and get a store credit. That is absolutely useless and unacceptable. This was my first time to visit a Jimmy John's. It is just an average "cold" sub sandwich shop. PROS: The kids working the counter/making sandwiches had a lot of enthusiasm and were *really* stressing something about a 30 second sandwich preparation time. And, indeed, they make them quickly. You can get your sub on a (white bread) roll; although I did read where some people were able to get theirs on a wheat variant; or wrapped in lettuce. I asked for Dijon mustard on the tuna salad sub I ordered, and did not get mustard. Oddly, since I don't bother looking at my receipts much, I noted that they charge .25 for a cup if you order a "cup" of water (vice a bottled water). Maybe this is common. I wanted a fork b/c I'm not a big bread eater, so I could eat the tuna, etc. without picking up tuna with my hands, and was told they don't have knives and forks and that: "Next time you should try it wrapped in lettuce." I would still like a fork if I'm trying to eat a gloppy tuna salad wrapped in lettuce. Kinda weird place, and music was super loud. read more

Ordered a number 10 or hunters club. They asked if I wanted a drink. Replied just a Water cup. Sandwich seemed average for what you get. I had to ask for help cutting the sandwich in half (to take home) as I was informed there is no cutlery available for patrons that eat in. I thought it was a bit silly to give the customer a whole Sandwich without cutting or asking if I wanted it cut. Realized after I had eaten and drove home that the person taking my order nickel and dimed me for the cup of water. Thanks "Greg". It's not like .25 cents is going to break me but if a restraunt is into practices such as that what else are they cutting corners on or cheating customers? I order from this location regularly, and usually experience great service. However today my order was wrong. I had it deliver red to work for my lunch break. When I called to inform them it was wrong and ask for the right sandwich to be delivered I was told I could come get it but they were busy and wouldn't be fixing the mistake. I've been here twice and both times ordered a simple ham and cheese sandwich. I'm not sure if it is their ham or the mayonnaise they use, but the sandwich just has a strange taste about it. I'm not the kind who loads up on the toppings, so it's got to be one of those two items. They do, however, make your sandwich quickly. But hey, when that's all they do, why shouldn't your sandwich be made quick? The difference between Jimmy John's and Subway is here you tell them what you want on your sandwich before you pay. I go on a keto diet every few months and their "Unwich" sandwiches are awesome! An "unwich" is a standard sandwich that's wrapped in lettuce instead of bread. It's somewhat pricey for a sandwich with no bread but still pretty awesome. Good spices and great meat/toppings. The Veto Unwich is A+!! I have to admit that I'm not a huge sub sandwich shop kind of girl. My big argument is always that most of the offerings could just as easily be made at my house with stuff in my fridge. I first became aware of Jimmy John's when I was in college and never tried (because of the reasoning above), but then when we got ours here in madison, my boyfriend begged me to try it. He's always been huge fan and a major proponent. After trying it a couple of times, I have to say they are winning me over. I usually get the Hunter's club (because I love roast beef) and all the ingredients seem good quality. The usual bread is a french bread, but now I like ot change it to the seven grain, its AWESOME! The service is always great, practically everyone working greets you as soon as you walk in the door. And of course their claim to fame is their spped at putting your sandwich together. I think the longest I've waiting from ordering to holding a sandwich is about 2 minutes so I have to give them major credit. Overall, if you like sub sandwiches or really fast food, I'd definitely recommend it. read more

When discussing this with the manager he took great offense to my objection. I then called corporate and asked them to review the policy. I agree with the previous review that said "don't waste your time." They are fast at preparing the sandwiches, but they also make a lot of mistakes with the orders. Their delivery service is not very good either. You apparently have to be very close to the store for them to deliver. You also may get them to deliver to you a couple of times and then the next time they say they don't deliver to that address. Very inconsistent and unreliable. Chain Sandwich place, a step up from your usual though. The bread is fantastic and made daily. They are super quick as well. The selection is a bit lacking but what they do have I am a fan of. They also have a limited area of delivery, so lucky you if you live in that area. Hopefully this chain spreads a bit as I would love to have more delivery options in Madison. Love the sandwiches here. First ate them at the one in Auburn, AL but have since eaten at several different locations and the sandwiches are consistently good. My fav is the Hunter's Club on the 7 Grain bread. This location is quick, only complaint is that they sometimes have the temp low enough to hang meat. I guess it gets hot in the prep area because of the bread baking, but then the customers get frozen out. I am not a fan of the strategy to ask what your order is at the register that is not open so they can "start your sandwich" and then you have to wait in line to repeat your order and pay.
