Great people great cheesesteaks and awesome fries. I'd recommend them if you're looking for a good cheesesteak...

If there were review stars with little roach emojis, I would use them. I ordered three subs. Two were to go. I ate one there. Had I seen what I saw when I got home, while I was there. I would have puked. I take these things home, unwrap one, and 3 roaches climb out of inside of the white paper from the sub. I was so shocked I threw it in the garbage, and looked into the bag, where I found roach eggs and a small smashed roach. Knowing that, I carefully went for the second sub and opened it carefully, and yes. More dead smashed roaches and two live one on the sub crawling away. NEVER again. Maybe it was the paper, the bag, the bread, no one bothered to look, and they were fine with giving me these to consume. NO thank you. Close this place. read more

Ate at Capriotti's today for the first time for lunch and had a really great experience! It is in a very convenient location downtown and looks amazing from the outside and inside. The dining room is very nicely decorated and feels very open with all the windows! It was clean and there were lots of seating options. The bathrooms were also very nice and clean. I ordered the grilled Italian sandwich with marinara sauce added, and really liked it! I think I would like it better without the marinara sauce next time, but I was very happy with my order! The staff seemed very friendly and were all super energetic. We were welcomed in when we came into the restaurant and everyone that was working there seemed happy to be there! Great atmosphere, great food, and amazing service! I will be here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal! read more

Okay y'all, I get the low reviews now. I made the mistake of going to Capriotti's during lunch. It sucked. For starters, I ordered online beforehand (and included a nice tip). I was told my order would be ready at a certain time (15 or so minutes), so I headed over. Surprisingly, there were empty tables and those who ordered at the register had no problems. The rest of us--who ordered takeout/delivery--got screwed. I went over to the spot that said "online orders" and noticed two bags of sandwiches, chips, drinks, etc.--neither with my name on them--so I stepped back and waited. And waited. And waited. Those two bags were never touched, announced, etc. Then I noticed the pile of sandwiches by where the cooks are that kept growing and growing. Those who dined in had their names called out. The rest of us I guess were just supposed to have ESP--I had gotten a text saying my order was ready, but these were just sandwiches and I had a combo. Finally, I walked over and explained and was given my sandwich--which had been sitting for a while. The hot sandwich was now lukewarm at best. Still, the lady (manager?) manning the register, got my drink and chips...but then I saw her. One of the cooks. Staring at me behind my sandwich with a death glare. Lady with braids, I'm sorry you were having a bad day, but I could literally feel that you wanted to spit on my food with your evil eye. Parking is a nightmare, the kitchen itself looked like a mess because sandwich parts were all over the floor, and I'll never forget that lady glaring at me just because I wanted my damn sandwich. Capriotti's - A Sandwich Dream Come True! On a recent trip to Huntsville, I spotted a young lady wearing a Capriotti's shirt and had to ask if there was one nearby. To my surprise--and excitement--there was! I haven't had one of their sandwiches since my last trip to Vegas, so I was thrilled. I took my daughter and told her this might become her new favorite sandwich spot. They knocked it out of the park--she does have a new favorite now! She absolutely loved the meatball sub. As for me, I'm all about the Capastrami and The Bobbie. Just a heads-up: don't get a large unless you're sharing... or you eat like me. The Bobbie is one of those sandwiches you just have to experience to truly get it. It's that good. And the Capastrami? The Russian dressing with that delicious pastrami is a total flavor blast. So glad we found this place--definitely worth the stop, and we'll be back! read more

I was really excited to try this, but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. I love stuffing as much as the next girl, but this is over the top. You can't taste anything but the stuffing, and there is barely any turkey. The staff is excellent, though. I like the setting--just less stuffing and more turkey. read more

I placed a to go order on line, got exactly what we ordered & the order was on time. The staff was prompt & courteous. My hubby said it was the best BLT he's had and he loves BLTs:.). I got a turkey sandwich which was excellent. My daughter got the French dip with was very good as well but next time will add some of the optional add ons to enhance the flavor. Really liked the online ordering process with all the customization options for each sandwich and the various sizes. Nice location across from Huntsville Hospital (I can see how they'd get busy from time to time) Will be back! read more

A winning sub shop! Quality tasty subs and excellent service. I had an online coupon for a small sub expiring the same day but the app broke down and I couldn't apply it. The manager cheerfully honored the coupon. I've had 3 subs so far. The ingredients are fresh and high quality; the rolls are more on the soft than chewy side. I suggest adding extra meat/cheese. Ratings: Reuben - B+ Only because there's no A-rated pastrami in Huntsville. Wagyu cheesesteak - B It's exactly as described but for my taste Wagyu beef is TOO tender for a cheesesteak. I'll try their regular cheesesteak next time. Classic Italian - A Hits all the right notes. Next time I'll try the meatball sub. The dining area is open and pleasant. They delivered box lunches to my work for catering. They did not include mayo, mustard, or any condiments in the box and my cookie was RAW. I compared it to my coworker's cookie and mine was completely inedible. I did not enjoy the sandwich as it was bombed with way too much Italian seasoning and funky smelling salami. Great food! I'm vegetarian, my husband is not. Capriotti's is perfect for us. I love all of the veggie sandwich options.

I have eaten at Capriotti's in six states and always enjoyed the sandwiches, but not here. They are small, even after the brag of '25% more meat.' And recently I ordered a Chicken Bacon ranch and got no lettuce or tomato - nothing but meat. The staff are friendly and efficient so it must be the owners directing them to go light on the fixings. Madison location is twice as long a drive for me but worth every minute for a better sandwich. read more

I ordered a small tuna. I requested that it be hot. They said they could do it after this trainer/manager type lady seemed very put out by the request. I got the sandwich, went back to work to eat about 5 minutes away. The bread was soggy. The whole sandwich was cold. The guy at the desk told me there was no mayo in the tuna, so I added mayo. There's mayo in the tuna. It tastes like a mayo sandwich. I'm not impressed. read more

Incredibly slow service!! Waited almost half an hour for a single mini sandwich. One sandwich and apparently the order was messed up and/or missing somehow. They were not busy, literally two customers in the entire restaurant This is the first time I have ever been to a Capriotti's and I can assure you it will be the LAST!! Staff had a 10 minute conversation about it behind the counter. Simple solution for people waiting in the restaurant staring at you waiting patiently for their food while being on a rushed lunch break..........JUST MAKE ANOTHER SANDWICH!!! I'm one of those guys who will drive a fair piece out of my way for a well spiced hot pastrami sandwich & Capriotti's is now on my list as one of those places worth the drive. Fortunately, it is conveniently located on Governor's Drive near downtown Huntsville, so it's an easy drive for a fine sandwich. My wife and I stopped here for a quick bite on our way out of town with another couple. We popped right into the parking lot, and stepped into a clean, well-lit café with a handful of customers in line at the order counter. The staff were bustling to get the lunch orders out, so the line moved quickly. Plenty of fresh, interesting things to choose from. I went for the medium "Capastrami" with no Russian dressing ($12.99) and a medium drink with chips ($3.99) while my wife ordered a small turkey ($9.99) and a small drink ($2.99). Drink refills are comp at the self-service soda fountain. The pastrami was generous, flavorful and the bread was freshly baked. The price is competitive versus other sandwich joints but the quality is a notch higher. Definitely Capriotti's is the place to go when you get the itch for a pastrami sandwich! read more

Nice sandwich shop. Ordered the Cheesesteak and fries. Overall decent although fries were extremely salty and sandwich was on verge of being over seasoned. I think once the cooks get dialed in on griddle, and fries it should be ok. read more

Visited this location on Memorial Day. We ordered a Chicken Cheesesteak sandwich. There were not one, but 3 black hairs in the sandwich and on the wrapper. My companion took it back to the counter where they offered to make another sandwich, but offered no apology. We won't be going back. read more
