First off, I have to say, Jimmy Johns is very proud of their sandwiches based on the price they charge these days. I'm less than convinced they should be. Today I went in for a quick lunch in lieu of better options. I ordered the Ultimate Italian which is apparently toasted. I noticed they just started offering toasted sandwiches, to which I cringed at, due to the fact it will inevitably bring their "freaky fast" operation to a grinding halt. I wasn't wrong about that. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for my sandwich. You could tell the employees were stressed too, because they were less than pleasant. The sandwich was very greasy (that tends to happen when you essentially fry, fatty, cured meats). I enjoyed the toasted bread the most. There couldn't have been more than 4 ounces of meat on the sandwich, yet the sandwich, a drink and a bag of chips was $18 bucks. I just don't see the value in what they're offering anymore. It takes a lot to push me to a 1 star review, but here it is. Hopefully JJ can use this as a learning experience. ~ I went into this location and requested a veggie sandwich. I despise mayonnaise and always emphasize NO MAYO. I am kind about the request and always tip 20% or better. This occasion was no different. Being mayo paranoid, I always watch as my sandwich is made, and hope that they won't cut it with the dreaded unwiped mayo infected knife. The beared dope smoker who took the order and collected the big tip started making my sandwich, spreading the bread with a healthy layer of mayo. I paused thinking that perhaps it wasn't my sandwich. Unfortunately it was. I kindly reiterated to the bearded lad that I had requested no mayo. He curtly responded "I didn't hear that!" I went to this location for lunch to which I only had 30 minutes. I got there and was very excited for the drive thru. I was quickly disappointed with the menu since it was not as a normal Jimmy John's. The sandwich I normally got was not there and they said they didn't have a few meats that I was asking for. I paid $18 for a combo and the sandwich I got was bare. I have been to many Jimmy John's in Gilbert and have never been this disappointed. Tonight we placed a pick-up order for this location online and when we arrived to pick-up our food it wasn't open even though the hours listed online show they are open for another two hours and they charged us! What you expect from a jimmy johns. The location was clean and the staff were friendly. We ordered and our sandwiches were made in no time. Order was correct and meal was delicious. I got the hunters club (roast beef and provolone) and it was on par with other stores. There isn't a whole lot more to say except it's reliable and I had no issues with my experience. It's a pretty spacious store, plenty of seating and room for groups. It also has a drive thru which is pretty convenient. read more

Decent food which counts for something, right? Customer service? Not so much. Many of the employees lack basic customer service skills; most seem angry that they need to work at all - like the customers are annoying them. I ordered three subs of varying types including a veggie, tuna plain, and an Italian. The veggie and tuna were gobbled down by my love and my daughter. I had been drinking a ton of tea and water all day so I wasn't really hungry, so I saved my sub for later. The next day I reheated my sub in the oven for a few minutes wrapped in foil. This location is in dire need of customer service training and fresh bread. Ordered 2 sandwiches only to get home and learn that the bread was beyond stale. I called the store to let them know of the issue with our order and informed them my husband would return to have new sandwiches made with bread that is not old and stale. When I asked for a manager I was told "yeah, she's here" and the employee didn't put the manager on the phone. My husband is heading there now to correct the order and speak with the manager.
