Wish i had the option to give zero stars. From the beginning, the worker was extremely rude. I paid $12 for a turkey lettuce wrapped sandwich. I could tell it wasn't right the second i got it. It was all lettuce and ONE slice of turkey. I tried to go back and ask if it was right and again the worker was SO rude and dismissive. Said it was fine and normal and i drove away. I will never go to this location again. $12 for lettuce and awful service.

I went to this location for lunch to which I only had 30 minutes. I got there and was very excited for the drive thru. I was quickly disappointed with the menu since it was not as a normal Jimmy John's. The sandwich I normally got was not there and they said they didn't have a few meats that I was asking for. I paid $18 for a combo and the sandwich I got was bare. I have been to many Jimmy John's in Gilbert and have never been this disappointed. For $18 there was barely any meat and condiments on my sandwich. I will not go back to this location.

What you expect from a jimmy johns. The location was clean and the staff were friendly. We ordered and our sandwiches were made in no time. Order was correct and meal was delicious. I got the hunters club (roast beef and provolone) and it was on par with other stores. There isn't a whole lot more to say except it's reliable and I had no issues with my experience. It's a pretty spacious store, plenty of seating and room for groups. It also has a drive thru which is pretty convenient.

I can see why there's only two starts. Orderd extra pickles and NO tomatoes. Thanks jerks

I can see why there's only two stars for this location. Ordered extra pickles and NO tomatoes. So I get no pickles and extra tomatoes. Called them out on something so they purposely made a bad sandwich. I really hope they close down and go out of business. Thanks!

Super fast and accurate delivery! I placed a delivery order at the Mesa VFW and the delivery man was there before I could sit back down at my place inside. Always a good sandwich and kosher pickel.

The Veggie Sandwhich $6.19 you mean the cheese and lettuce sandwhich?

Got a sandwich tonight delivered and it was not cut in thirds like I asked and I didn't get extra cucumber like I asked....When I called in to let them know I was offered nothing just an explanation that a standard veggie #6 has three slices of cucumber and three slices of tomato?! I have gotten sandwiches from a different Jimmy Johns and it has never looked this crappy...lazy work.

What's missing is the game I am forced to play with Jimmy Johns

We were greeted by two friendly faces and asked if we visited before. The person behind the counter explained their array of offerings and was patient while we made a selection. There are a variety of donut flavors from plain to strawberry shortcake. In addition to donuts, they offer breakfast sanwiches, coffee, ice-cream, and cocktails. They also have a donut and beer flight! A bit spendy for a donut at $3.85 each or 4 for $15, but honestly, compared to other specialty donuts I've tried, this is worth it! The space was clean with plenty of seating. It was inviting and felt like a nice place to hang out for a bit. We opted for the maple as that's my go-to flavor and it did not disappoint! It was certainly sweet, but the glaze was well done. The layers are flaky, but also offered a bit of density, making the whole thing texturally enjoyable. We had to stop ourselves from indulging in another so as to not ruin our appetite, but we would certainly recommend and visit again!

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. Now, onto my order- a bagel and iced tea. The iced tea was great, no comments, and the bagel was absolutely delicious! You can tell they make it here. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that this place is also a grocery store of sorts, with really good prices. They also have board games, so if you're coming with friends, you won't be bored. I will be coming here again. A very lovely experience!

There is also a nice parking garage accessible via the alleyway between buildings under the apartments (see photo). Atmosphere 5/5 This is a One-off small business cute cafe rating. There is season appropriate seating curbside in front on Main Street. Today we enjoyed our takeout dessert in front it was such a neat overcast day. On the inside there are item for sale on small wall shelves in the dining room and freezer refrigerators giving it a small town vibe. There are approximately 6-8 tables for eat in service. As the summer temperatures arrive these tables will become even more in demand. This is a quaint Gluten Free eatery with a nice selection offered in menu. Service 5/5 This is a take menu to table, decided then return to counter to order. Orders are delivered to your table. Helping us today was Paula. She was the ambassador to the restaurant who welcomed us immediately. She asked if we've been in before and once we responded no, she thoughtfully walked us through everything including the Gluten Free information. Food 5/5 Both of us were hungry for breakfast and we were ready for this new experience. Coffee was severed in large and individually unique cups. Coffee was nice. 4-Eats we ordered for inside service; a powdered sugar Waffle and I ordered their biscuits and sausage gravy. Sides were two eggs over easy and two sausage patties for additional protein. Desert were two oatmeal cookie pies the we enjoyed curbside in front. Our breakfast choices were fantastic. For mine I ordered too much because the sausage in the gravy would have been sufficient due to their generous serving size. I will order the same thing less the two Patties. Desert 5/5 Our picks were delicious and will require another extra 30 minutes in the gym! $67.90 includes generous tip for excellent service! If you're in the Downtown Mesa area put "Against the Grain" on your list of places to eat. Eat well my friends-SYOY!

Parking 5/5 Arrived close to 9 am and we parked just east on Robson where plenty street spaces were available. Atmosphere 4/5 The dining room is a work in progress having added seating after being a takeout business only hence the name worthy of taking away. Walks have been removed opening up the space. It's a cute option for downtown food. Service 5/5 This is a counter order business. Grab menus bring them to your table. Head to the counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. Fast and friendly service. Food 5/5 We both ordered the breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea and a homemade banana pudding dessert. The burritos had country style potatoes, eggs and bacon. The breading was sopping wet and made eating it so unpleasant. The worst part was I paid 18$ for it, with a side of chips(fries would have been more). I was very disappointed. Their whole menu is honestly overpriced. Kind of disappointing what's become of this place. Edit: wasn't sure how to reply to the owner's comment, but I did eat it there, and the very first bite the sandwich fell apart. Honestly, I couldn't taste the fish at all, the flavor from the oil overwhelmed everything else. And you're right I have no problem paying more for quality, but at least for this sandwich it wasn't there.

Once he compiled my order he even gave me an unexpected bonus (extra bread that was freshly heated up). The sandwich was amazing. Whatever the veggie combo is and dressing along with the ample, well seasoned gyro meat is...awesome. You won't go away hungry, I'm fact, I only ate 1/2, and saved the other for lunch the next day. I get there's a labor shortage, but there was one person behind the counter who was new and seemed to be the only person there. She was so new that she couldn't answer questions about the menu items. She was also left to do all of the cooking by herself. We were the only two people in the restaurant, and it took 30 minutes to get food that wasn't good. The meat was dry, and the fried cauliflower was soggy and seemed old. The online menu indicated choices for the plates, but we weren't asked about choices of salad or rice. In fact, the online menu was more informative than anything they had in store. Speaking of the menu...as you can see in the photo for this Yelp page, the prices on the displayed menu were covered up. With inflation, I'm sure they had to raise prices, but at least put the new ones up. We asked for a menu with prices, but the person had to search for one, explaining again that she was new. I initially gave this restaurant two stars because we did eventually get food that was passably edible, but then, I remembered the prices. My passably edible shwarma combo was $15.
