I needed three six foot subs for a brunch and needed to pick up by 8:00 am and he gave me his personal cell and said he would go in early and have our order ready for pickup on a Sunday morning at 8:00. My husband and I went to Port of Subs because I was craving a sub and it was nearby. We went for lunch and no one else was there and now we know why. We ordered our subs and they started slicing the lunch meats but they were sliced so thin you could see right through them. I asked for no pepperoni on mine and usually they ask if you want double of another meat in it instead but this was not the case at this location. I asked for sourdough bread which was clearly not fresh when I went to eat it. My husband ordered his on white bread and again his deli meat was also sliced very thin. Our sandwiches were basically bread with a touch of deli meat and veggies. We will not be back to this location. read more

Went here for the first time for lunch. I immediately noticed an "Under New Management " and dreaded the worst. However was pleasantly surprised. Walking in I was immediately greeted by the team. Store was clean and smelt amazing. I ordered a simple ham, turkey, provolone to be safe and was pleasantly surprised on how delicious it was. The bread was the real takeaway, best bread I've had compared to Subway or Neds. The only thing lacking was the amount of Sriracha mayo they put on my sub. It's great that they slice the meat in front of you, but unfortunately the turkey is the see-through cheap ass, no flavor version of turkey. All the condiments and oul and vinegar style was good as was the Sourdough bread. If the meat is horrible, then nothing is good. read more

My only feedback is about training: it felt a bit too micromanaged and happened right in front of customers, which made things uncomfortable. They took out the comfortable booths, and changed the entire vibe of the place. It's empty and dirty. I got the smallest sandwich option and my gosh was it delicious, affordable and filling. The staff are great, wonderful attitudes. I'm a people person, it's in my blood, my grandfather was once seen by my sister having a full on conversation with a wax statue of Harrison ford, and that genetic ability was passed on to me I am sure. These guys working at this sub shop were so fun to talk with while I was ordering my sandwich and paying for my meal. I think they were all teenagers and they were seriously holding down the fort. I got a teriyaki chicken sandwich, the very smallest size, and that was enough to keep me full for most of the day. What a place. The thing to keep in mind is that shops like this need to be rated against their equivalent - subway, blimpies, firehouse, that's what I thought about as I was there, comparisons to equal joints. That's why I give this place five stars. People give low star reviews and in my mind I picture them holding their sandwich and thinking about the time their boss took them to Ruth's Chris or whatever. Chill on all that. I was greeted right away by a nice young lady she prepped my sandwich as I asked. That's not the issue here. The food experience was bad. I ordered a pastrami turkey large on sourdough. I must've gotten the left over bread from the night before. It was thick and just stale. The meats were super thinly sliced and not enough portions. I got a bunch of lettuce though . I found myself eating this "sandwich" on one half of the bread. Port O Subs lost me today. Poor portions and bread was stale. $12 + to rip apart my food?? SMH read more

Unfortunately, the last time we visited this location, we were very disappointed. We walked in to all the tables, except one, being dirty. The soda station was absolutely fifty! I didn't even fill my drink, because it was so gross. The whole station was filthy. A sandwich was sitting out as though someone was working on it. The chips were almost empty, and tasted very stale. The TV was off and the bathroom was very dirty as well. This location is clearly Not being inspected by a Health Inspector. We use to order from this location frequently. It's been about a year since we've ordered and I will not order again as of now. Yesterday we ordered a 24" #4 - Ham, Salami, Provolone...there was legit 4 paper thin slices of ham across the whole sandwich, 4 paper thin slices of salami, and 4 almost see through slices of cheese. Never have I seen just one slice of each mean across these sandwiches. The veggie toppings were fine. But in every section of sandwich we bit into bone from the ham that had to be spit out. There was also a random huge chunk of what looked like the end of the ham they'd been slicing that had a weird look to it. This sandwich was $20! For basically bread, lettuce, and tomato...and really no meat. So disappointed, we will stick to Jersey Mikes. read more

I've been to other Port of Subs before and this one just underwhelms a bit. The sitting area isn't particularly clean. The sandwich-making area was messy as well. The team working was not great -- to be fair, one guy was engaged, but everyone else seemed a bit, well, "out to lunch." Compounding this the drink machine was out of ice and they wouldn't tell you until AFTER you ordered and then they'd say, "you can have a bottled drink instead if you want." But they didn't have bottled unsweetened, ice tea. Next time, I try elsewhere. read more

Placed an in line order a week before my planned party. Paid a delivery fee; you have to put in your home address and it gives you the closest place to order. 2.5 hours before the party, an employee calls and says they don't deliver; they are out of roast beef, fruit and 1/2 the condiments. The next thing she says is " do you want to cancel". I asked for a Manager. They have a third party that does deliver. They refunded the money for the fruit. But where is the follow thru. Ive been going to port of subs for years but after going to the dobson location & seeing how they skimp on everything including meat portions I almost gave up on my favorite sandwich shop. That is until i went to this location & my faith was restored! Thank you port of subs on warner rd for being one of the last good franchises in the area. I have been a huge fan of port of subs since my college days. I have attended this location for the past year and I was very upset with my last visit. The employee (who was the assistant manager) making the guest's sandwich ahead of mine was doing a great job and was taking his time. The manager decided to come out from behind the counter and was making loud remarks about how he was using way too much lettuce and this is why their produce costs are so high. It was very uncomfortable for the manager to be talking about this in front of customer and I could tell everyone felt uncomfortable. After this he began to make my sandwich and the manager decided to time him and he was told to make the sandwich as fast as possible. This REALLY infuriated me.... ESPECIALLY talking about this in front of a customer?! My sandwich ended up very sloppy and the meat and was thin due to the fast slicing. How about instead of making rude comments in front of customers, he should have gotten behind the counter and helped out the assistant manager in making sandwiches or ringing the customers up. Very disappointed with the managers actions and I will not be returning. read more

Took ten min to choose between potato or Mac so now I gotta get both next time. The sub was amazing. Only complaint I had it delivered and it was a damn mess I had to stand next to the sink to eat it...it was oooozing the Mayo mustard dressing coated the entire bun and was such a mess when I opened it I'm SO glad I didn't order this at work. I've been here twice now, my second time was just recently. It was an impulse decision after stopping at Petco and I'm glad I stopped in. The service was friendly and welcoming and they made my sandwich quickly. For the price, it's a good value. The quality is much, much better than what you'd find at a Subway (ew). Dine-in or carry out, pick your poison! Although the inside is a little out dated, I did overhear the manager mention a 5 day renovation project which I believe they're currently working on. I'm going to stop back in when they re-open for a toasted #1 and will update my review in regards to the decor.
