Yep! Automatic 5 Stars! A few people have told me to try Firehouse Subs and I never got around to it. My life is forever changed now, because that Hook & Ladder Sandwich was damn DELICIOUS! Before I opened the box I could see a light glowing from within the box. Upon opening the lid..... I laid my eyes on the most beautiful, delectable sandwich any eyes has ever seen. When I took a bite my tastebuds transported into a 3rd dimension. How could something so simple be so dang on good!? I ask myself over and over again. What a horrible experience. It's 2:45 in the afternoon so it's absolutely not lunch time rush-hour and I just walked into this Firehouse Subs on baseline just west of Val Vista. There's no one parked in the parking lot. There is one customer inside waiting. There are two employees working and they told me that it was going to be at least 20 minutes before they could make me a single sandwich. I hope this is a franchise and I hope the franchise owner is seeing this or at the very least the store manager. You must be doing pretty darn well if you are so busy that you have to turn away foot traffic even though the restaurant is empty. I love Firehouse Subs. I go to the one all the time by my house and I'm telling you I will never come back to this location. How can you have two employees working and not one of them can make a single sandwich for walk in traffic??? are you kidding me???? my expectation was even if they were making a phone order that one of the employees would've stepped away from what they were doing to assist walk in . if I made my business like this, I would be out of business so maybe think about that. The employee was incredibly nice so I have nothing to say about that other than no one was available to make a sandwich at 2:45 in the afternoon. Great sandwich but this location is SO slow! If you order online and are given a time for pick up....Just plan on it being ready a half an hour later than what they tell you. And if you order in the store, then plan on about a 45 minute wait to get your sandwich. They seriously need to hire people who can work a little faster. read more

Food was delicious and restaurant (1829 N Power Road, Mesa, AZ) was very clean. Tommy, our customer service representative, was extremely friendly, very helpful with my confusing order, professional and very kind to my five year old granddaughter. If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would. they are sooo slow and customer service is so bad. Yeah they were friendly and yeah they made my food and yeah I was the very last food they made at night and now I don't know if they stayed over later because of it I'm not sure yet the point is that they had a sign that said social distancing when really is supposed to be physical distancing not social does don't even make sense you can't be socially distance so that's why this is getting a one On top of that they weren't really that friendly if they don't want you to be social they want to be socially distant so really they don't want you to be friendly they want you to be like not friendly and they're not be friendly to you The franchisee owner is unfriendly belligerent hangs up on you threatens you with harassment so really you shouldn't be going to this fire house subs at all they're not worth it read more

Having just moved to the area we were happy to see a Firehouse subs so close. But this location doesn't measure up to the Simi Valley CA location. We have tried them twice and both times the order was wrong and the quality is just not what we are accustomed to. Under toasted or falling apart or wrong meats. Also, the employees don't get along here so we could see the tension. We are going to look for a different location and hope we find what we're are missing from our last favorite place read more

I have added an additional star and we'll stop into the restaurant soon rather than using GrubHub. Original Review: Grubhub fail - None pizza with left beef First, I admit this could be an app glitch and if that's corrected I'll try again and revise this review asap. We ordered dinner. It was late in the day. I was starving. I chose the cajun chicken. The order form seemed to indicate that I needed to 'opt in' to the requisite items that were default on this sandwich. I thought the requisite items sounded delicious so yeah - add them all -yum. Somehow this translated into remove them all on the app. I received a plain chicken sandwich- just bread and chicken and somehow a container of spice which I was able to mix into mayo at home and save the day. You'd think they'd contact me - the delivery person or sub shop to confirm a weird order Who orders plain bread and dry chicken?!!!! It was $14. That's madness. Subs are great! Best place for a good tasting sandwich. What makes this location Special is the staff- Jolie is great in the front and is in tune with the customer smiling and making good eye contact making you feel welcome. Brooke is very professional with great customer service skills! She was helping 2 customers with their order all with a smile on her face. A lot what going on here and Aaron making sure all is clean. If I could give no stars I would. The guy who took my order was nice , as well the guy who was in training. The third guy made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable because of how he looked at me. I ordered a veggie sandwich. Once the sandwich was ready, the guy with the unwelcoming looks called my name and gave me my sandwich. I said "have a good day", he just stood there. When I got back to work which was 7 minutes away. I noticed the bag was wet. I pulled the sandwich out and this liquid went all over my clothes. I opened the box and my sandwich was soaked. I called immediately and asked to speak to the manager. From the sound of his voice after I reminded him who I was and that I had left the store not too long ago, it might have been the guy who gave me bad looks. Don't use a GrubHub to place your order online. GrubHub told me my sub would take 40 mins. We knew that sounded absurd so we went 20 mins early and our sub had already been sitting there for 15 mins. As I write this review, GrubHub still thinks my order is in process. I also asked my subs to be labeled. My husband has an allergy so we left off a few things on his sub and they put them in the same container, touching each other. No label. The sandwiches here are consistently delicious, and that's not the reason I'm docking a star. The only issue I've ever had here has been the online ordering. I'll show up to the chain restaurant when my app says it's ready, and end up having to show it to very understanding and accommodating employees, that start my order immediately. But then I have to wait another 15 minutes for my delicious steamed meat sub! I absolutely crave both the Hook and Ladder as well as the Cheddar beef brisket subs! Absolutely worth a try, but definitely recommend calling it in! read more
