We found this store after searching for someplace to eat while traveling. We arrived late, and they welcomed us with a kind manner. Our food was fresh and delicious. The lettuce wrap was crisp and perfect! The Diet Coke was perfectly carbonated. IYKYK. ! The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The only reason why this establishment has more than one star from me, is because I have gotten sandwiches from here a number of times and didn't seem to have any issues, but what I experienced today changes everything. I opened the two halves of my sandwich as I was nearing the end of it when I found a gnat stuck in the mayo on one of the halves. I am beyond disgusted, therefore patronize the store at your own risk. Had I not opened it up, I would have eaten the bug. I called the store and the manager offered to remake my sandwich and refund my money, however, the principle of bugs being able to make it into a customer's food is inexcusable. read more

We are from Jersey and stop here every time we visit Delaware. Food is always great but today was a bit special! While enjoying our meal, an elderly couple came in, and the cashier already knew what they were going to order. That is top-notch customer service in my book! I don't even know where to begin. We were driving past and wanted sandwiches for lunch, so instead of Jersey Mike's, we decided to try Jimmy John's instead. What a horrible decision. I'll start with the bread. The sub rolls were horrible, no taste, just blah. I had an Italian, the meats were just ok, and talk about a thin sandwich. My wife had a ham and provolone and it was like 3 pieces of ham and 2 slices of cheese. Just really skimpy. But they didn't even taste good. No flavor at all, bland doesn't begin to describe things. What can I say, I am a fan. This location is run particularly well. The service team are all really nice, polite and helpful. The location has been spotless every time I have been there. Service is VERY FAST here. The bread is good and the meats, cheeses and toppings are consistent. I stop in once a visit to Newark and have have catered in a couple of business lunches at the hotel across the street. They do a great job on delivery as well. read more

It is a Jimmy John's with the expected sandwiches. The bread is soft and fresh with good sandwich fillings. I like the JJ BLT. This is a new shop and the sandwich was made well, consistent with other JJs I have eaten at. The classic pickle is available. They do move fast as expected and promised, perhaps not as fast as some more established JJs. But I am sure they will continue to be faster. Will have to check out their delivery speed. Good sandwiches at a reasonable price. I've been here three times for lunch during the work day since they opened. However, I'm giving two stars only due to concerns about the staffs consideration and attentiveness towards customers and the music in the shop. Recently the music inside this establishment has been so loud that it's ruining "eat-in" experience. The music comes crashing down from the wall mounted speakers forcing diners to try and talk over it as it blares through the narrow corridor like seating area. Please consider adjusting the volume to a background level that compliments the atmosphere and decor instead of rocking-out to entertain the staff! The staff should also be educated on how to approach routine tasks around customers who are eating. In one case I had employees trying to mop nearly under the table I was seated eating at with a bucket of smelly cleaning water inches from me! Please respect the dining experience. In closing, the product sold here is spot-on but management really needs to catch these things before they turn-off any future business!!! read more

I am a business traveler so I was a bit set back when the cashier refused to put my peppers on the side. I even told her I would buy an extra cup to place the peppers in but she was unmovable and told me it was a corporate policy to only put them on the sandwich. I informed Destiny that no it is not corporate policy b/c I have been to other Jimmy Johns and they put them in a lil cup. I will never return to this Jimmy Johns. Ordered for the first time. I got a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise on thick cut wheat bread. I thought the bread was great. Overall the sandwich was tasteless except for the fact that something tasted like it had been in the refrigerator a long time. You know when something tastes like the refrigerator? I couldn't decide if it was the lettuce or maybe the mayo had been sitting out too long. But here I am in the morning and I still can smell the mayo on my hands and I took a shower before bed! This is a standard Jimmy-John's. I find their sandwiches boring.. "free smells" of a plain sandwich are about enticing as "white bread scent" at a Stroehmann's factory. I got a Slim 5 which was lunch meat and cheese on a roll... I could have rolled out of bed and made this sandwich for pennies. Nothing special. The vito was as tasty as sucking on a roof tile. Amazing sub sandwiches but I placed my order online and food was ready when I picked it up. I've never ordered from Jimmy John's before so when I gave my boss her Turkey sub and left to go home and eat my Italian I discovered she ate my sandwich and got the turkey. They don't mark them correctly. This is important because I'm allergic to turkey. So I took it back. The manager gave me attitude. and then began making me another turkey sub??? I asked him why?? First Impression-The Guys Behind The Counter-Super Friendly Then it went down hill from there. The cashier and the sandwich prep guy were both yelling things that they thought that I would like since it was my first time there. I was a bit overwhelmed because they were yelling and speaking fast. I was appreciative but a tad bit taken aback. I proceeded to politely let the prep guy know that I would like my sandwich prepared a certain way. He looked shocked but moved forward. I asked for mayo on one half of the roll, a tomato slice cut in half, lettuce, extra vinegar, salt and pepper. Well...he offered oregano and I do not like it so I said no thanks...then he told me that they do not have salt and pepper. I said ok...then just extra vinegar (again). He splashed the vinegar ONCE and then wrapped my sandwich. I had to ask for a bag since I got the chips and a drink. Then I asked for a side container of vinegar and was told they do not have a container to put the vinegar in. The prep guy then told me he could unwrap the sandwich and add more vinegar. I was thinking...if he would have only honored my simple request in the first place then all would be right with my experience. Well...almost right.
