We have ordered sandwiches from this location multiple times and have always requested that they be toasted. Unfortunately, on many occasions, the staff failed to toast our sandwiches and served them cold. When I asked if the sandwiches had actually been toasted, the staff made excuses, saying they would have to take the entire sandwich apart to toast it. Instead of simply addressing the issue and providing a properly prepared order, they expected us to accept the cold sandwiches. The biggest disappointment was the lack of a customer service mindset. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles those mistakes matters. We did not feel that our concern was taken seriously or that the staff made any effort to provide a solution. After experiencing this issue multiple times, I decided to write this review. Additionally, the quality of the sandwich does not match the price -- it feels more like a basic $2 sandwich from a convenience store rather than a product from a place charging a premium price. That was the most insane customer service experience I have ever had. Walked in and was not greeted for 10ish minutes. Literally stood at the register waiting and the three employees just did not speak or acknowledge me. Finally once there was a line out the door of people behind me I was asked what I wanted. Told them I had an online order and the guy was like "oh idk if that's ready." Then told me to walk down to the pick up area. He didn't tell anyone else about my food or what I needed so I just had to stand again for another 5 minutes. Finally got the employees attention, who was ignoring me on purpose and calling out other orders without looking at me. Finally got my order I had placed 30 minutes prior after 15 minutes of being in the store. I think all the employees either had their memory wiped or were recently lobotomized beacuse what the actual fuck did I just experience. read more

I grew up in Illinois, homeland of JJ's. I think I lived off of JJ's (and pizza, of course) during undergrad. It's definitely the bread and abundance of mayo that bring the magic. This location has friendly staff, easy pickup (shelf inside) or curbside pickup. If you order in the shop, they aren't as "freaky fast" as other locations, but the friendliness makes up for that, in my opinion. I prefer ordering on the app, where you can customize your sandwich easily and earn rewards. If you aren't aware, there are a ton of freebie toppings you can add, including the newer option of sliced pickles. You can also add extra or less of existing toppings (less mayo, more mayo, etc). Don't forget to ask for napkins, as they never seem to give them willingly. ;-) My favorite is the #12 Beach Club, add light oil and vin and sliced pickles. Yum! I chose it since it was cheaper. I'm very surprised on the customisation. First to have a sub customisation there is no such thing. Now on ones that exist they are very short on it. Mine had bread options. My husband did not. Some of the toppings he had and I didn't. Then vise versa. I found that not enjoyable. He said his is better at Subway than there's. I was shocked. I was really disappointed when I saw mine. I first thought I chose the sixteen inch, but when my husband picked it up. I realised it will be an eight inch. WELL it wasn't. Since I chose wheat it was like a sandwich and not a sub. I was really looking forward to it. They gave no indication otherwise. This is why we rate it this. read more

I like Jimmy John's. I'm telling you...I think it's the bread. Yum! These sandwiches are great. It's fresh, it's fast, and they get my order right every time. This location is just as good as any other I suppose. People are friendly, it's clean, and there's a nice outdoor eating area when the weather is great. When the weather craps out this location is on point running sandwich deliveries all over Oak Ridge. What more could you ask for from a sandwich joint? read more

I was starving, with an empty fridge. What to do? I didn't want to leave the house just then, so delivery fit the bill. I decided on Jimmy John's. While I prefer Firehouse Subs for a hot sandwich, Jimmy John's is perfect for a cold sandwich, e.g., tuna, cold cuts, etc. They really do deliver LIGHTNING fast! I think I waited all of ten minutes, from order to the delivery guy's knock on the door. I had the #11, Country Club (see photo). Talk about a HUGE sandwich! I only ate half, because I was completely full. So I saved the other half for another time. Oh, and it was delicious, by the way. :-) read more

Average and yummy. No probs with Jimmy johns. Bread seems fresh, meat is of good quality, service is great.

These guys here in Oak Ridge are great. Customer service is a 5 but food selection is about a 4.

My favorite sub place. I normally order the ham and cheese and it's the best around for a cold sandwich. They use high quality ingredients.

No good reason to patronize this place. Rude customer service, (do not ask for anything special as they look at you like you kicked their dog), definitely not kid friendly as I could not find a high chair anywhere and you have to step up to get into a booth. The only reason people patronize Jimmy John's is that the delivery is fast. The sandwiches are subpar and have no flavor except for the onions and small in size and little meat. Save your time and money and go to Subway or even Firehouse Subs. Our family was extremely disappointed and the management did not seem to care as they ignored me when I asked them about the small size of the sandwiches with little meat, no high chairs, and the poor service. read more

What an absolute terribly rude bunch of employees they've got running this joint, it was beyond horrifying to watch how they treated this sweet little old lady yesterday! From the managers, all the way to the clueless drones running the registers. When someone asks for a little extra spicy mustard on the side, not everyone has to treat customers like the customer is the bane of their existence. I would give fewer stars, if possible. I sincerely hope that this restaurant goes under quite soon, and alleviates Oak Ridge of the burden of its poor customer service. The way the people treated that sweet little old lady yesterday who asked for extra spicy mustard... Ridiculous! The food was soggy, the eating area was gross, and the managers were rude. I don't see this business lasting long. There are 4 subways really close to this place, and there's a firehouse. You probably don't live in the delivery vicinity, so you'll have to drive anyway. Might as well drive somewhere you'll get your money's worth. read more

Great, upbeat staff. Disappointed in the meal, and will stick with Firehouse Subs in the same complex. Only one choice of bread, and the bread was the overwhelming feature of the meal. I asked for the vegetarian sub because I thought the avocado etc sounded pretty good. The avocado was a very thin, tasteless spread of mashed fruit between slices of provolone. I had to look for it to even verify it existed. A couple tomato slices, and a lot of shredded iceberg lettuce ... hardly the healthy veggie meal I hoped for. If I could give them no stars I would. Not because the sandwiches aren't good though... but you can get good sandwiches elsewhere and you should...even another Jimmy Johns. But stay away from the Oak Ridge one. Because the managerial staff treats their customers terribly. I just moved to Oak Ridge and on my first day decided to get Jimmy Johns. This was NOT what I expected. They forgot the cheese on the sandwich, which I really don't understand how that happens. The lettuce was just barely good and had a horrible taste. For the sandwich I got my friend they had forgotten the dressing on it. I will not be eating here again. Since they've opened, I've had Jimmy John's about 20 times be it delivery or pick up. I LOVE the bread and sometimes they are so dang fast that they are handing me my sandwich before I even remove my chip card from the scanner. I've never had a bad experience with them, and my boyfriend loves them, too. Fast, simple and fresh. If you need a ton of options with toppings and breads, this may not be your joint. read more
