Time for an update. I've been coming here for years now and have learned a few tricks to getting the best experience, especially post covid. Use their app! Not only for rewards, but if you place your order when you leave to head there, it's a really good chance your order will be ready when you arrive. Avoid going during school lunch time (mcqueen time) or you'll be waiting in line with those on lunch break. The staff is still generally pretty friendly and quick to make the orders. Food is always fresh. Did you know you can also buy the day old bread? yup, and it's very reasonable. make your own jimmy johns at home :) The sit down booths are a tight fit for those of us with some, shall we say "insulation", lol. but the table does move to be able to squeeze in. It's a Jimmy John's so it is quick and consistent. Good bread is the most important part of a good sandwich and JJs has that figured out, there is a reason their day old bread always sells out, because it's damn good. Of our local chain shops, I'd put this place one step under Port O Subs, not THE best sando in town but it's close. The Italian and the Pepe are my go to's always with lots of cherry peppers. Located right off I-80, this is my go-to spot for a quick lunch on my way to or from Tahoe-Reno. Online ordering is the way to go & parking is plentiful. I always go with the #6 The Veggie for $7.99 (what a steal!). Gotta add the Jimmy Peppers, Onions, Pickles, & Mustard of course (all freebies!). And add that side pickle (quartered) for $1.99. I wasn't super hungry but I wanted something fresh, cool, and crisp. So I went to my local Jimmy John's and ordered a slim #6, the veggie. The slim is half the size of the original roll. They're known to be freaky fast and let me tell you, my sandwich was done by the time I was done snapping the menu pics! I wasn't disappointed with my pick as basically it's a hand held salad on a house made french roll. The bread by itself is a fav for sure. I tried to snap pics that captured the freshness of this under-rated sandwich. It was really delicious and not bad for $3.99+ tax. The guys working today were nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. They have an outdoor patio with a couple tables, which is really cool with the summertime weather. read more

So happy to find this place on our way heading out of town. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered a large Vito sandwich with mayo. Fresh ingredients and the sandwich was packed with flavor. I've been coming to this Jimmy John's since it opened however the last few months it feels off. Today I placed an order online for pick up (also not sure why the delivery isn't always going but not going to lie that was one of my fave features about Jimmy John's) when I got there- there were 5 people working which is amazing but then once I got my sandwich I was pretty bummed it was missing a lot of things I had added & was WAY smaller than it typically is (little John felt more like what a kids sub would be). Jimmy John's used to be renowned for their speedy delivery of fresh, high-quality subs. "Freaky fast delivery" I believe was their self-proclaimed selling point. I always loved this about them. And of course, loved the subs too. Fast forward to present day. This isn't the case anymore. The last 3-4 times I've ordered delivery through the JJ app, my order gets picked up by an UberEats driver. If I wanted an UberEats driver, I would have ordered through the UE app, don't you think? I'm also convinced that the UE driver doesn't get to see any of my "delivery instructions" because instead of choosing to "leave the food at the door, and please don't knock" they decide to knock (alarming the dog) and wait around for me to put on pants to get the door, text me "Hola, ¿puedes venir a la puerta?" Now... I don't hold the UE driver's choices against Jimmy John's... except, I kind of DO, because they chose to outsource on the one thing that the customer always trusted they'd keep within their quality control. I don't know if this is a change specific to location, or if JJ's as a whole is under new ownership/management, but I'll just say, this choice was a bad one. The subs are still good (as long as they get the ingredients correct) but damn... for a wild card driver that takes 2-4x as long and maybe doesn't follow instructions, I'll definitely be giving more consideration to my other sandwich options. read more

Almost every time I place a delivery order from this location it is incorrect. Today I called the store after I received my order to let them know it was incorrect & the rude girl who answered the phone tried to argue with me, telling me she made my sandwich and that it was made correctly. I wasn't too concerned about the mistake but felt I needed to comment on the TERRIBLE customer service, I will not go to this location again. read more

I ordered our usual once a week sandwiches for 5, and although they have an option to choose cash upon delivery, they didn't have a driver. So they called to tell me that unless I had a card to charge so they can use a 3rd party delivery service I was out of luck. I gave the young man from JJ's that called my credit card number to charge over the phone, so I could get their crappy doordash delivery service, and within two hours I had MULTIPLE fraudulent charges charged to the same card. Coincidence? I think not. If you don't have your own drivers then don't advertise that you do and if you can't accept cash upon delivery then don't offer it. Period. Your employees are stealing credit card info and it's disgusting. Again we are loyal customers and we're so appalled we stopped our once a week service because you are thieves. read more

I notice some things have changed since a few months ago. There is less flavor associated with the Italian subs. The spicy Italian sub is definitely less flavorful and my last sub had a suspicious old-tasting area of meat or spread that was noticed as not good. There is less of the tart spray over the meat and veggies that carries the flavor. I am disappointed in this trend. read more

Axiyana is extremely rude. She rushes you take your order, ignoring your selections for your sandwich. The sandwich maker with the pony tail is a smart mouth. The restroom is dirty with pooped underwear in the trash can that stink. To top it off the sandwich is basically bread only. read more

I haven't been to this Jimmy Johns location in quite a while and was disheartened to see all of the bad reviews. Thankfully my experience was excellent! I was having trouble with the app so I called in my order. The young lady who answered was friendly and efficient. When I got there, my order was ready and the sandwiches were made perfectly, fresh and delicious. I know most places are having staffing issues and this Jimmy Johns location is not immune. They were short staffed today but the staff working was excellent. Call before you go as they are closed on Sundays per a sign on the door. They also have limited hours on other days. read more

Firstly I hate giving bad reviews but I'm Being gracious with the number of stars and that is solely based on the sandwiches. I preordered two extremely simple sandwiches at 2:15pm there was no one there hardly at all. I'm just now at 2:45 getting my food. When I let them know I had a mobile order the girl was rude and told me it wasn't ready yet. Two people had came and went in the time it took me to get my order which was placed well before anyone else. The staff is rude to customers. I won't be coming back. I am really disappointed in this particular location. We've been to several different locations in Orange County, California and have always had great sandwiches. We've tried this one on Robb twice and both times we found it to be below other Jimmy Johns quality. Other locations we always were served sandwiches that had plenty of meat and the bread always tasted fresh. This location puts on two very thin slices of meat and the bread is not fresh. Very stingy on the meat. I would think that all Jimmy Johns would adhere to certain standards but apparently this is not the case. I would have gotten a better sandwich from Raleys down the street. Atmosphere - Cookie cutter feel for another Jimmy John's. Food Drink - A fountain Coke, where the machine located it felt crowded. Lunch - I love capicola, and if a sub shop has it I am going to get. They have multiple subs with the ham and I picked the #9 the Italian Night Club. Eight inches of an awesome sub packed with Italian meats; genoa salami, Italian capicola, smoked ham. Service - As I said I ordered the #9 and when I started to hand out the groups sub I was left #5 and not a #9. I brought the sub back to the register and they do make their subs freakily fast. This was the first time I've been to Jimmy John's, and it will be the last. I've heard lots of raves about Jimmy John's sandwiches, and I'm wondering...why? Location: This is off of Robb Drive, across from Raley's. The store was clean, and when I was there and had five employees, with me as the lone customer when I was there late one night. The employees were all high school kids and helpful. The menu is a little confusing, and the ingredients are not visible except the bread. Had I seen the turkey, I wouldn't have ordered it. They have one kind of bread (french roll) which was probably the best aspect of the sandwich. I got the #4 (6" sub, turkey, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and provolone/cucumber as my add-ons). The veggies were not my idea of fresh. Lettuce was paltry. Mayo? I think it was Miracle-Whip. No yellow mustard? The turkey was the kind of salty, pale, slab o' industrial processed lunch meat I despise. Two bites and into the garbage. I probably would have enjoyed a Lunchables from Raley's across the street more, or the Robb Drive Subway where I get a super-fresh sandwich and a combo for $6. With drink, chips, and a pickle, a meal at Jimmy John's came to over $10.00. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won't be back. read more
