Ive been going here for years. It all tastes good still but its gotten very pricey. I love their fresh in house bread. My favorite is the Swiss and onion bread and it pairs very well with the Italian sandwich. Which is what I had. Everything in it from the meat to the lettuce to the dressing was all fresh and just the right amount of everything. One of my other favorite sandwiches is the Thanksgiving one..good cranberry..not runny gross sauce.. They do have fresh made cookies , brownies and different kinda of cold salads. They used to have racks of different kinds of bread they made and I loved it.. I used to buy some bread to make sandwiches at home. They were perfectly sized and at a good cost. But they dont have the racks out anymore. Which is sad. Besides being pricey and some little changes , the food and quality is still good in my opinion. Now, they best thing about eating there was all the seating they had. They get really busy alot and they would have tables through out the gas station..but they gas station was bought and almost everything changed. Half the seating, everything rearranged and kinda lost its charm/vibe.. the employees at both the gas station and deli aren't rude but they never really seem happy or just having a good day and not sure what to think of that. Located INSIDE the chevron. I ordered the medium Italian sub with the Funky fusion chips on the side. The sub is HUGE! This 8 inch sub seems like a 12inch sub (ONLY COMPARING SIZE) from subway or port a subs. The bread is wide. The medium sub and chips was 2 meals for me and I was overly full both times. You do pay a little more than port a subs or subway but the quality is way better. If you are in a hurry, do not come here near lunch time. Maybe placing an order for pick up is best for those in a hurry. They are popular so wait times can be a while during peak hours. (like lunch) I would say this place is worth checking out. They're back and better than ever! I finally revisited after taking a break when new ownership happened. I was pleasantly suprised! The sandwiches have remained phenomenal, but the entire space has made a come back. The drink selection is great again! Probably one of the best hidden gem sandwich spots in town. You wouldnt think a gas station would have such a must try food spot, but you really should try it if you haven't before. I ordered the Turkey Slam on a Swiss/Onion roll and it was the best part of my day. The deli is located inside the gas station, I always use the self check out for the deli and build my own sandwich then head to the main register after grabbing extra goodies like chips, drinks and candies. Was disappointed last visit. The order board is not as user friendly. That said I rested two ham turkey subs with lettuce tomatoes oil vinegar. Which it states on the label However the sandwich was bland. No tomato or oil and vinegar. I miss watching the making of my sub. I haven't been to Deli Towne in several years, and was hungry as I was driving by so I decided to stop in. It's changed so much since the last time, there are now several tables around the gas station areas, and the sandwich shop has taken over half the building. Ordering is all done by Kiosk now, or online which I don't mind. It's easy to go through and build a custom sandwich, or pick from one of the popular options. My go-to is the Italian with some slight modifications. It never disappoints and in my opinion is one of the best Italian subs you can get anywhere in Reno. I also like that once you get your sub, there are lot's of drink and snack options in the gas station area. The pesto was really lite as I couldn't even taste it. Service was quick and easy. I ordered at the gas station checkout counter because I was paying cash. They have kiosk to order from if you are paying debit or credit. There looked to be 3 people waiting for their orders ahead of me. My order came out quicker than I expected. The sandwich was a little small for the $14 price tag, $10.99 plus $1.99 for pesto. They have little tables inside and out to sit and eat at that looked clean. read more

Staff are very very very rude. It's crazy that I'm even making a review of this place because the reputation speaks for itself. This sandwich spot is part of a gas station in Reno and they have the BEST sandwiches. I have not had a bad sandwich here, ever. My favorite is their French dip. The Dutch crunch bread is phenomenal. The gas station also has a great selection of chips. They can get fairly busy on the weekends so keep that in mind. They also have a self-checkout kiosk and you can call ahead of time to pick up your sandwich. read more

I have some coworkers that said this place was really good so I figured I'd try it out! It's in a gas station which you wouldn't expect but there was no wait. You order at a computer. While we waited for order, we got some drinks from the gas station part which is convenient. They have lots to offer such as cookies, Mac salad and other things. It seemed nice and clean. Staff was nice as well. The portions are huge but a little pricey. I will say that the sandwiches were amazing! My fiance got the Italian sandwich and I got the veggie one. All the ingredients tasted very fresh and the bread was soft. We only ate half of our sandwich and the rest for dinner and was still fresh! Highly recommend this place! I love that the location is inside of a gas station because it's the ultimate one stop shop hidden gem. Although the location is a bit ways away one thing I will do is drive across town for a Deli Towne sandwich because it's just that good. During my visit earlier this week I got my favorite turkey sandwich w/ pepper Jack cheese, garden salsa sun chips, and a pecan caramel brownie. This time I tried the wheat garlic pepper bread and OMG... bomb! Yes, I get all the fixins, mind your business people. I'm a foodie, not eating to be cute.lol Nonetheless, my sandwich was perfect as always and the brownie wasn't too bad either. I am so utterly disappointed in Deli Town! I've been eating there since I was 15 years old when it was located further down Lakeside, past the big loop and up in Maloney's-near where Blue Moon Pizza originated. Up until the 'Rona they impressively kept their quality top notch-did it come with a steeper price tag? Well-yes-every now and then they DID have to raise prices-but their sandwiches AND customer service was out of this world-for two plus DECADES. I'm sad to say this is no longer the Deli town I've loved over the years. They've gone away with bread choices (yes they still have *some* but not nearly as many tasty fresh bread options --focaccia ....grrrr..) but they also skimp on the CHARGED extras-back in the day if you added bacon to a sandwich you were getting a mouth full of crispy, savory, warm bacon on whatever sandwich you built. Now you're paying extra DOLLARS for 2-3 pieces of microwaved bacon not even microwaved and hot anymore. The staff use to be friendly, talkative, and happy to work there -but now it's staffed with ladies who snap at you when you ask them a question, who look they they haven't caught a break since the 80's and would rather be out back with their Virginia slims or at the gaming machines rather than making sandwich for the "stupid" customers (yes I over heard the snickering about someone's order and the fact that they wanted a specific vegetable or sauce on the side instead of on the sandwich-and the ladies sniggered and laughed while they charged them extra-just to put it on the side!). Had an online order placed -wanted to get it asap not in an hour-placed the order, showed up 15 min later -tried to check in with staff-they said yea its probably not done yet. Ok I say, and sit down waiting to hear more information on it . It was slow-maybe four people in the shop. The sign by the kiosk says 20 min wait. I had ordered my small and mini (non heated) sandwiches at 2:13. Around 2:35 I try and check on the order again-trying to kindly share that I had an appointment at 3pm-and if they were swamped and it couldnt happen -no big deal-but I did need to know so I could cancel and get to my appointment. The lady on the line just rolled her eyes and told me she couldnt tell me anything-pointed to the sign at the kiosk and said "whatever that said is how long" and went back to chittering with her teammate, so I go back and wait some more. Now it's 2:45 and still nothing -I got up and said I need to cancel and get a refund because I can't wait any longer, especially not knowing where our order was in the queue since no one would give me that information I tell them I'm sorry but -I need to leave for my appointment. I tried to share that I tried gathering information on the order three different times and was met with shrugged shoulders and "I don't know". When a manager came out and I told them I had been waiting 40 min for two little sandwiches when the sign said a 20 min wait -he pointed to the ticket and said "well here it says you'll pick up at 2:57", to which I replied; yes but I wanted it earlier, which is why I checked the kiosk when I walked in and it said 20 minutes , tried to let staff know that it wasn't suppose to be a "future order" three different times, and the response was another shrugged shoulders and "I don't know"-then he tried to tell me I'd have to come back at 10pm for a refund. Not once did anyone offer to just make the sandwiches for us-they were obviously not slammed-but no, not once did anyone offer customer service come into play. It's apparently the reason why they are not looking good and full belly will probably end up eclipsing them soon, if they haven't already. I've managed three different sandwich shops-two during covid, so I'm very aware of how the online system works, especially TOAST. It is sucky because again...deli town was end game for sandwiches for decades...sad to see the king fall. read more

This is a great little quick sandwich spot located in the gas station at the corner of Moana and Lakeside. Most of the times that I've been there, the service line hasn't been open but I was able to order at the tablets at the front of the deli counter. They make fresh sandwiches to your liking and can even make them ahead of time for pickup, just check in with the gas station attendants to pickup your order. They also have various premade sandwiches and sides for people that are in a true rush. Prices are comparable to others in Ren, which to some is expensive, but I'm honestly come to expect it.
