This is the best sandwich shop I have ever been to. I've been to plenty of different sandwich franchises and this is my favorite. The staff is pleasant and know how to smile; the restaurant and restrooms are clean and the food is delicious. I'm a vegetarian and their WonderWoman Sandwich with all the goodies (including sprouts) on sourdough bread is to die for. The sandwich is generous but still I had to eat the whole dang thing. So get your appetites in gear. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Shady outdoor seating is easy to locate as well. read more

Again pleased with my sandwich. The sandwich is hearty and i continue to appreciate the amount of ingredients inside, especially since im pretty plain. My go to salami, cheddar, tomatoes and avocado. The GF bread was very soft and fresh. However one reason I loved coming here most was there was no charge for GF bread, which was really awesome, but today I found out it's now 2$. This is just the life us unfortunate gluten free people have to live because the bread is smaller but we pay more for it. So that's my only disappointment today, I mean I understand it because that's just what everyone in the restaurant world and behind has decided for us, (it's not my choice to be GF) but I wish it was just 1$ given that is why I mostly came here, but otherwise COMPLETELY satisfied with my sandwich and customer service always friendly. If you love sandos, this is the place. I don't stop at sandwich shops often but when I do, it's usually The Sandwich Spot. This particular one is unique in terms of service. The employees here are patient, very helpful with substitutions and showing how their menu works. The tall gentleman was personable and called me by my name. The sandos are so fresh and delicious. I forgot to check in, but I had lunch here about a week ago with my family. We dined in on a quiet afternoon. We were greeted by a very friendly younger gentleman. He gave us enough time to look over their menu and offered suggestions and he answered all of our questions. There was another employee, a girl behind the counter. Maybe she was shy, but preferred the younger gentleman that helped us. We made our selections and made them combos. I felt their prices were higher for their portion and was hoping for a hotter (temp wise) sandwich since I ordered a hot sandwich. I was super bummed to see after I ordered that Dutch crunch bread was available. I did enjoy my sandwich, but I'm not a fan of the sauce on my sandwich. After pedis with my friend we were looking for a place to eat lunch and found the Sandwich Spot on Yelp so thought we'd give it a try. It wasn't busy when we got there about 1230 so had time to look at the menu and order. Our order was taken by a friendly young man. They offer fountain drinks and water which we helped ourselves to then found a table which unfortunately was by the tv which was very loud! It was hard to talk and I guess we could've asked for it to be turned down but no one else seemed bothered. Our sandwiches were soon brought to our table as it was getting busy. I ordered the French dip with Au Jus on sourdough since they were out of the gluten free bread. The bread was crispy and chewy at the same time and the broth helped to soften it up. The broth and meat were both pretty flavorless and I wished I had gotten something else. It had grilled red onions on it which I didn't care for so took off. Half was enough along with the chips and drink I ordered. My friend had pastrami and was very happy with her sandwich. I would try here again but definitely order something else. read more

Visiting Reno and was craving sandwiches, so we had to visit a place called The Sandich Spot. Loved the variety of choices. The Dutch Crunch bread was super fresh, being soft, dense, and crunchy all in the right places. They were really generous with the mashed avocado spread. Maybe it was the sandwich choices we got, but it did feel like they lacked some flavor. Overall, I will give this another chance when in the area. The Dream Team - 3.5/5 - Overall solid classic turkey sandwich. The cheddar paired well with the roasted turkey. Cheddar was also melted out the sandwich which I appreciated. The Hulk Mania - 2/5 - Pretty dry and tasteless chicken. It was even hard to taste the bacon. The sandwich just tasted like a chicken salad with lots of mayo. Special sauce - 4/5 - Garlicky and oily, dipped the Hulk in it to add more flavor. read more

This place is fun. They use ingredients and recipes you wont find at most sandwich places. I think they had 28 different sandwiches on the board today. And of course u can make up your own. Price is pretty high at $57 for 3 sandwiches, 2 drinks and potato salad. So we wont be doing that too often. But they use quality ingredients and staff is always friendly. So its a nice eating experience anyway. read more

10/10, excellent food and service! Adam was fantastic, very attentive and offered informed suggestions when asked, and even provided my husband small containers of sauces just out of hospitality. The sandwiches were DELICIOUS. The bread is soft and fluffy, they brine the chicken so it retains its juiciness, and bacon is on point. The only downside is because of the fluffiness of the bread, the pesto sauce quickly soaks into it. My husband loved the salsa and the bbq sauce, and we both walked away mourning the fact we don't have a Sandwich Spot in our hometown. I had a pastrami and Swiss, with lettuce. I asked for a side of lettuce and to my disappointment the lettuce I received was brown and clumped together. Now, I've been around long enough to know that shredded lettuce should be nice a light and fluffy texture. The lettuce all was inner twined like there were some obviously bad lettuce and it was old and there was this when I pulled it up there was a long strand of it all slimed together. I am hoping that was not on my sandwich. But I couldn't bear to look so I only ate half my sandwich. They definitely need to get to keep fresh products on hand. Just dump it out. It's not worth somebody giving you a two or three star rating. I probably won't go back there because if that's their standard, I'll pick another sandwich shop. read more

This is a review that will be getting future updates. And I'll tell you why...just look at my picture of the menu. There are a lot of choices! As I was eating my sandwich (more on that later), I was staring at the menu trying to figure out what my next meal would consist of. But before we get started (but I guess we've already started), The Sandwich Spot offers Yelp users a 50% coupon for 1st time visits. Use it! ... you're welcome. Now back to the sandwich. I ordered the #1 Rocco University and substituted turkey for the ham. It came with wheat bread and was layered with lettuce/dressing on top, meat and cheese in middle, and pickles on the bottom. Each bite gave layered flavors, which I liked. I think next time, my order will have Dutch Crunch bread instead of wheat. I mean wheat is ok, but you will want Dutch Crunch. Next time, I might use a random generator or two dice to choose my sandwich, with...Dutch Crunch bread. I'll do an update after each sandwich until I get the 5-start combo I'm looking for. So so so so good! Came for lunch and got the best sandwiches ever. Such kind workers and service was great!

Unfortunately the "Cheesesteak" is glorified chopped up roast beef with American cheese that was warmed up in a microwave. Sourdough roll was good though. Maybe other choices would be worth the wait, I'll keep looking for someplace else that actually knows what a cheesesteak should be. read more

This is a classic sandwich shop where you order at the counter and seat yourself. There are several tables inside, two outside with umbrellas, and ample parking just outside. This seems to be a popular spot at lunchtime. The cashiers also make the sandwiches so there might be a wait to order and to get your food. My sub was delicious, so the wait was worth it! The bread was fresh, soft on the inside, and crunchy on the outside, just like Dutch Crunch should be. They don't skimp on the fillings either! Lots of deli meat and all the fixings included. I got an Airmax 95ers with everything on Dutch crunch was pretty delicious. It's savory with a touch of sweetness and crunchy from the veggies. The bread is really fresh and soft on the inside and chewy and crispy on the outside. I liked it a lot and would get it again. Also we got the Shawn of the Dead. The Pastrami was decent but the cut is all wrong along the grain and texture is thicker and chewier than traditional pastrami. If you get pastrami sandwiches, it's traditionally sliced thin against the grain. Saw a Yelp coupon after the fact. You can use it for your first purchase. I will keep it in mind next time we come to Reno. read more

This place makes the best sandwiches I've ever had always a great food and customer experience until today. There was workers I haven't seen in there before but everything was off about the sandwich and the hot turkey in it was super hard and the proportions being off made the whole sandwich just not very great. I hope their new workers continue to get better I would hate to loose my favorite place to eat.
