I was really excited to finally try Jimmy John's -- I've been waiting for this location (Coffee Rd) to open -- but I walked away completely let down. I ordered two sandwiches, the Italian #9 and the Turkey #12, and both were very disappointing. Neither had much flavor; they were very bland. The Italian tasted mostly like plain meat, and I couldn't taste any of the oil or seasoning that should've been there. The Turkey was even worse -- the bread completely overpowered the meat, and it was supposed to come with avocado, but they didn't even include it (and I didn't ask for it as an extra). I'm not sure if it's worth taking a second chance when I can across the street and get a Jersey Mikes that I know will be consistent. Great location next to Starbucks! There are tons of parking, and im sure this shopping center is going to be very popular with all the great places around! Very cute, clean place with an outside patio. Staff was up front and friendly and did offer to answer any questions if we had any. I got the Country Club, and maybe I didn't know how to make it big and tasty with the works, but it wasn't that great. My husband got the Bootlegger Club, and he really liked it. I had a bite, and it was better than mine. Maybe it was the pickles. To me, the bread was mediocre. There wasn't anything special that stood out. If I were to return, I'd ask for extra trimmings and see if that makes a difference. read more

So I absolutely love Jimmy Johns in Clovis. They have some of the best subs with the freshest ingredients. So I want to be fair with review as I do understand that sometimes things are out of your control, this being the delivery of their french roll dough. With that said they only get 4 stars could've easily gotten 5 but should've gotten 2-3 because of being out of French Bread. The location for me is about 20 plus minutes away from the Northeast but I really wanted the sub so I made the drive. The place is really nice with just a few tables indoors and a few on a partially covered patio. I ordered the number 11 with lettuce, onions, oil and vinegar and salt snd pepper. I had to choose a different bread, so I went with the whole wheat sandwich bread which is fresh made. This was a combo so it came with a chip snd drink. The young man at the counter was real friendly and fairly new at taking sandwich orders. He did an ok job as I ended up with tomatoes on my sandwich which wasn't a deal breaker. The sandwich was load with meat and just enough lettuce and onions to not over power the sandwich. All in all except for the French bread issue was worth the drive. read more

My wife and I came here on a Friday night, excited to try a new franchise that we have heard so much about but have never tried. Considering it finally made its way to Bakersfield, we had to try it. The sandwiches were fairly good - not great, but good nonetheless. The prices were on the expensive side - nearly 30 dollars for two regular subs, two bags of chips, and two drinks. The staff was fairly friendly, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was about what you would expect. I can't honestly say I'm dying to try it again, but it won't be the last time either. Would recommend everybody try it at some point or another! read more

Best sandwiches in town by far. Super fast, very affordable, staff is always pleasant and place is super clean. Your order is almost ready within a minute of you placing the order and paying. I've had a few of their sandwiches here and at other locations throughout the US and they are consistently delicious. I think it's the bread they use, it's just perfect, like a great deli bread. We came over here for a quick dinner all the way from the Northwest of Bakersfield. Place was empty when we arrived but shortly after our order it was a wave of people coming in. It's fairly new and still trying to train employees on all the SOP's. I ordered the #7 spicy east coast Italian combo. Now when you're inside looking at the menu specifically, the #7 says it comes with double salami, double capicola, cheese, hot peppers, onion, oil and vinegar, and oregano and basil. When the order came out, the only I received from the menu description was onion and peppers and the meat and cheese. They added mayo, lettuce and tomatoes which was never listed on the sandwich menu and never added half of what what suppose to come on it. I walked up and said my order was wrong which they looked and said it was right that they make all sandwiches with it on like I received. They said if I wanted exactly the menu way I would have to ask specifically for it otherwise all sandwiches come with the fixings. Definitely pissed me off that you read the offer of a sandwich on their menu but they won't make the way the combo comes unless you ask for it specifically that way. If they were that messed up from the start, I definitely wasn't about to wait around for another sandwich to be made with the 15 people who came after waiting in line. The entire combo meal plus another combo was over $30 and both were regular combos. The chicken sandwich was cold with no bbq ranch sauce like it said and again all the fixings that the menu didn't say it came with and the chicken looked shredded from a can. Definitely will never come back from shear price for a sandwich and not being able to accomplish the simplest tasks in the fast food industry which is make a DAMN SANDWICH according to your own menu. If I could, they would receive a negative star review. I suspect they will be closed before the lease agreement is up if they continue the path they are starting out in. read more

Service was 10/10 especially for a newer place. The staff and manager were happy to help answer any questions about the menu. Personally I don't think I picked the best sandwich. I'm a turkey girl and something just felt like it was missing. I got the beach club and it had turkey, double provolone, and an avocado spread. It was good don't get me wrong but I just feel like it lacked of flavor. I definitely want to come back and try some more options. The chips are their own brand and they are bomb! So flavorful. I really wanted to like this place, but it's just not that good. This was my very first experience with a Jimmy Johns and honestly, I'd rather have Subway. Since they offered several promotions through their app, I tried this new location 3-4 times and I absolutely hate all their bread. They have a very limited selection of bread, but it's all bad. The original style is always hard and chewy, and the wheat was completely opposite with a different shape (making it seem like a sandwich from an entirely different shop). For such a basic offering of cold-only sandwiches, I would expect something far better and refined. On the plus side, you can usually get some good deals with the app and their potato salad / macaroni salad sides are really good. I always mobile ordered, so I have no idea how the service is, but the establishment is nice and new. read more

I'm going to have to start by giving 3 stars. I was pretty excited to have something new in the outter SW. Never heard of them opening so decided to look them up, and what do you know they are open. We walked in and looked around, there's a few tables which were all dirty, but no customers. The girl at the register was patient while we took a few minutes looking over the menu. I got my grandson a #1, ham and provolone. My husband got the #2 roast beef, and I got the #3, tuna. I'm going to have to say I was disappointed in the ham and tuna. The ham had 1 layer of thin ham. The tuna had no flavor. Sorry but Jersey mikes is better. My husbands sandwich had lots of meat and he said it was really good. As our side we had a bag of chips, and both the pasta and potato salad. Both salads were pretty good. I will be back a second time, but I will try a different sandwich. read more

1st time ordering. New Jimmy John's opened near my house. Sandwich was very good. Previously, I only ate Jersey Mikes Customer service was non existent at JJ. No one even acknowledged me when I came to pick up. They actually pointed to shelves for my order. They do not message you when your order is ready. The sandwich was very good, but slimmer than Jersey Mikes. The meat was tasty, but not as much as Jersey Mikes. Bread had Mayo & oil & vinegar. Wasn't expecting Mayo! The JJ sandwich had a fabulous spice about it. Loved that! The price was slightly better at JJ and they gave me free chips ($1.99 value) with my first sandwich. Their chips are the bomb! And, my 2nd sandwich is free! The two places are too close to call a definate winner. I guess it comes down to price and convenience. read more
