I got the pulled pork sandwich and Mac & cheese, it was a hefty sandwich. Very happy with the portion of meat. Bun was a little soggy and the Mac and cheese was spicy and creamZ the regular bbq sauce was good nothing unique. I would order here again for a filling lunch but I wouldn't use DoorDash again! Harris BBQ is a very long way from my house I mean like almost 20 to 25 minutes to get there on Easter Day so I was hoping this place would be worth the drive and it absolutely was!! We started with the hostess Esbedie ,she explained everything to us about any of the items we have on the menu as we were visiting for the first time we settled on the smoked turkey sandwich on a brioche bun w/ macaroni and cheese for the first meal and we decided on the brisket and cheddar sandwich on a hoagie roll with barbecue baked beans. (The only reason we got the original smoked turkey sandwich was because the smoked turkey club which was pictured from a previous yelper at this location was not made at this location per the hostess) Either way , both amazing choices to anyone ordering barbecue we were hoping it would meet our Easter Sunday expectations. They absolutely did! Honestly I tried to eat the food as fast as possible as I did not want my brisket sandwich to get cold so my wife and I shared half each I wanted the brisket more than the turkey so I ate that first The brisket sandwich 4/5 stars very tender very tasty and mixed with half sweet and regular barbecue sauce tasted great. A very well put together sandwich with a slight hiccup or 2 as this was supposed to be and was labeled as a brisket and cheddar sandwich.. what I got for the "cheddar" on this 8-in sandwich was brisket and one slice of cheddar broken by hand placed on each side of the cut sandwich.... disappointed to say the least, the other thing was the dry cabbage which I believe should have been finely chopped was just big chunks of cabbage not placed well but thrown in the sandwich. After taking out all the cabbage cutting it into smaller pieces and placing it back into the sandwich it felt as if I should have prepared it in the kitchen myself as that's pretty much what happened... The smoked turkey sandwich 4/5 stars which had a great amount of smoked turkey very tasty very moist overall something I may have to try to make myself one day this sandwich came on a very good brioche bun that made this turkey sandwich a very good one to get this also had a slight pick up and that was the miniscule slice of tomato, and a smudge of the Special Sauce that was on the bun in the very big sandwich that was placed on the table. Other than that it was a great sandwich. Next was the macaroni and cheese 4/5 stars was ok, not my cup of tea as I thought the cheese seemed fake by the flour based flavor alone and the peppercorns were too large for the mix however my beautiful sidekick that accompanied me thought it was amazing so I'm not sure what to say but apparently I was "told" to give it 4.5 out of 5 stars and I told her yeah/no ,YELP doesn't work like that so I'm going to give it four stars so 4 out of 5 stars for the mac and cheese. FINALLY was the barbecue baked beans 5 outta 5 stars ,they seem to have some sort of chopped meat inside the beans and the barbecue Bean flavor was the highlight of the visit no complaints don't change that recipe it was very good. Overall a great experience I will definitely go pay them a visit as I would like to try one the Mixed Plate of meats that they had for approximately 1 lb of mixed meat for about $33. Been hesitant to try this place based upon my experiences at their place up on the 5. It is so close I walked over for lunch. Ordered a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork with mac n cheese and fried okra for my sides. Both meats were good, the nac n cheese has a nice kick to it and the okra is tasty and big enough to share. Service is friendly and the place is clean. I have been here twice now. Great experience both times. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The food is good and there's plenty of barbecue sauce! They have original, sweet, and spicy. All good. There is a large patio that has lots of seating with umbrellas for shade. There are games for the family, such as ping-pong and cornhole. And both times we went there was live music. Let me start this with saying I spent roughly 6 months at the Harris Ranch Resort while working in the area and am a huge fan of the resort including the restaurant. That being said I came into this with pre-conceived notions and expectations. So let's get down to it. Today was the Grand Opening of this location. The staff were absolutely amazing! I cannot begin to describe how friendly they were and how much effort they put into accommodating our needs! The interior is exactly what you would expect from a BBQ place, kind of a rustic western feel while showing off what they are known for, their meats. The menu is different than than what I expected due to my own ideas of what it should be. With that being said it was large for a quick serve style restaurant. I went with my favorite a Tri-Tip Sandwich and Fries while my wife had the same but with potato salad. The meat was room temperature at best and borderline cold, but was cooked perfectly. The fries were too crispy for my liking but perfect for my wife. The potato salad was amazing. Being the first day in business I don't want to be too judgemental. I am looking forward to another visit in the near future to see how things improve as the employees get used to everything in a new location. read more

We got to Harris BBQ right when they opened their doors on a Saturday. The employee at the counter helped us decide on a wide range of dishes that would allow us to try a wide variety of the menu. The tri tip loaded fries were delicious! There was a cheese sauce (tasted homemade), sour cream, green onion, and some tomato. The fries they were on were so crispy and had a great seasoning on them. The Mac and cheese topped with pulled pork was so delicious and had a surprising kick to it. We also got one jalapeño cheddar sausage which was very juicy, flavorful, and had a great crunch. The establishment is very clean. They make everything fresh and you can tell the food is great quality. Next time I come in I'm interested in purchasing some BBQ sauce. We tried all 3 flavors original, sweet, and spicy. You really cannot go wrong. I look forward to adding this establishment to our rotation of takeout dinners. Did a online order consisting of a brisket sandwich, tri tip sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. We opted to get fried okra instead of fries with one of the sandwiches but the other two we left as is. We got there and there's no fries, I ask the girl and she gets the manager who then proceeds to tell me I must've changed something while ordering because on their end it says "no fries", I explained I never changed anything because it was pretty cut & dry easy order and only did exactly how it shows it in the app to opt for a different side on one of the sandwiches. Even on my online order screen it never said "no fries" so this sounds like they have a problem with the platform that they've chosen for online orders. We got home to eat, tri tip was only ok, husband said pulled pork was good but not great, sons brisket was not even edible, seriously you couldn't bite through it, it was rubbery and you couldn't bite all the way through it. I don't even understand how that's possible but it was. We threw away the whole sandwich. The fried okra was tasty and that was it. Very expensive for me and husband both eating a 1/2 sandwich and son eating fried okra. Food tasted nothing like Harris Ranch restaurant. read more

First off customer service A+, as I entered the establishment I was greeted by Nathan that was working behind the counter. This guy is awesome! Super nice, very knowledgeable and I literally based my whole take-out order on what he recommended. I purchased 2 meat combos which were the Turkey/Tri-tip with the potato salad and spicy mac & cheese, now I didn't get a chance to snap a photo of this meal due to me being at work but let's just say "WoW", I was surprised that it was that good! Now I read most of the reviews on here and I was on the fence about giving this place a try, but I'm glad I did! Now the portions aren't big but as a combo, it's enough to satisfy your stomach. I also purchased a BBQ Pork sandwich which was pretty good as well. Not dry at all and I did not add BBQ sauce! I've never been to one but from what people say, it's good BBQ. For this visit, I wasn't impressed. They had a decent options on their menu. The prices were pretty high for the amount of food you get. We got the 2 meat combos which were almost $25/each. There were 3 pieces of each meat. I got the tri tip and the brisket. I couldn't tell which was which. The brisket barely had any fat on it. I tried all 3 BBQ sauces. The spicy wasn't spicy. The sweet was barely sweet. You couldn't really tell the difference in taste. Otherwise it was a very slight difference. The sides I chose were the mac and cheese. That had a little kick. Surprisingly my husband didn't say anything about it. The cashier recommended the slaw. It had really good flavor but a strong vinegar taste. My husband had the beans and it gave like a pork and beans flavor. He also got the pulled pork, which I would recommend. Do not ask for middle cut brisket you get strings every time. 3 time and you are out. Bbq sauce has gotten thinner. The cut up my chicken into little bitty strips that dry. In the trash they go. I was excited for this place to just give a new style of food a try. I would say overall it's good but can be pricy. I went ahead and did the steakwich and my partner did a pulled-pork sandwich. I was disappointed because the sandwich was just coated in juice, which would be a good thing, but it was too messy, falling apart, and meat was pretty flavorless. 3/5 The pulled pork was a different story, that was holding up well when eating and really flavorful. It was still pretty greasy on the outside, but I think that's to be expected. 4/5 The types of BBQ sauce (3 types) were pretty confusing because they all tasted the same. They were good but there was no difference really. 3/5 The fries could be a little more fried but were a 3.5/5. Cole slaw was really good and if you are a fan I recommend. 4/5 The side that was just not it was the potato salad. We went here for dinner and were looking forward to good BBQ. Both got the brisket which was tender and very good. However, the sides were terrible. I got the Mac n cheese and beans. The menu said nothing about either side being spicy. I assumed a Mac n cheese would be just a classic homemade side. I was wrong. SO SPICY I could only eat a few bites. The beans were the same for both my husband and I. I don't understand why the sides would be that spicy when you want to be able to TASTE the BBQ meat in the next bite. It's unfortunate because the meat is done well, but the sides ruin the meal. I'm not paying $40+ for two plates of food that we didn't eat most of. We won't be back. Salty's has much better options. **Also, I was charged $20 per plate when the menu stated $19 each for the brisket option. I was blessed with a voucher from Harris BBQ for a free sandwich and side after donating blood at Houchin. I say blessed because my experience was fantastic. I had the tri tip sandwich and a side of mac n cheese. The meat was tender and lightly topped with cabbage and red onion between a soft roll. I added the sweet BBQ sauce and it was glorious. The little bit of crunch didn't divert from the flavor of the meat. The mac n cheese had a peppery bite to it, which I loved, but may throw some people off, so be warned. The cheese was creamy and plentiful. So good! I always have a hard time with the cost of food now. My meal would have cost around $26 but it would have been enough to share (although I admit I ate it all). The restaurant was clean and well maintained with a modern BBQ feel to it. Plenty of room to sit and dine inside and out. The staff was friendly, welcoming and keeping things clean. It was such a great visit and they have earned my business. So I finally gave it a try. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food is a bit pricey, definitely paying for quality. I was disappointed though that their online menu said 1/4 lb. plates available but the menu in-store only listed 1/2 lb. I asked but was told 1/2 lb. was the smallest plate... guess that's a way to increase sales? Anyway, the menu is fairly pricey BUT the food is excellent. I had the Smoked Turkey Sandwich ($12.95), probably one of their better deals. The sandwiches don't come with any type of sides. But my turkey was heavy, and hand-carved breast, no deli slices here. I'm told the Mac & Cheese is also excellent... gotta try next time. My only complaint on this visit was really about napkins... they put 5 or 6 napkins on your plate, saw no place to get more, guess I could've asked. Personally, I think upscale BBQ should not be "rationing" napkins. Just me. Also, the decor is a bit disappointing considering their menu prices.
