EVERY SINGLE TIME I order from this place, it never arrives on time. I schedule it to be delivered so I can eat it during my lunch break, but it always arrives 30 or 40 minutes late. I have called them, and written reviews on their site letting them know this is an ongoing problem, but nothing ever changes. I am done giving them any more of my money. Let me preface this review by saying how much I absolutely love Jimmy Johns. It is one of my FAVORITE sandwich shops (especially their tuna!) in Indy. But visiting this JJ's while I was on the west side yesterday left me severely disappointed. VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS BEWARE: I ordered the Veggie Sandwich without cheese and what I got was bread with tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber and hot peppers. Upon searching diligently for the guacamole (that is supposed to come on the sandwich), my boyfriend called the shop because he couldn't find it either! The manager argued with him about whether or not the sandwich had guacamole on it. After darn near touching every single piece of vegetable that was on my sandwich, I finally found the guacamole, and it was the equivalent of less than a tablespoon. On one side of the sandwich. Smashed in between slices of tomato and cucumber. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Jimmy Johns, and whenever I'm on the west side, I'll choose just about anything else, and if you're a vegetarian or a vegan, you should too. read more

I live JJs but this location is horrendous. I placed my order for one sandwich and an hour and a half later it still hasn't been delivered. I called the store and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes. So I hung up and called again and was placed on hold again for another 5 minutes. The guy who finally picked up said they are understaffed. I said I don't expect to pay a delivery fee for this kind of service. His response was "well we don't make a guaranteed delivery time." Your company's slogan is literally "freaky fast." I never got an apology or anything. Istill have yet to receive my order.. I will not be ordering from you guys again. So unprofessional. Jimmy John's is freaky fast and honestly its unnerving how fast they arrive at my house. Nice variety of sandwiches and salads with something for everyone.Their brand of potato chips are similar to a kettle chip and thicker than a regular chip. We like the jalapeno chips with a middle of the road heat and spice. The cookies are a little pricey but twice the size of Subway cookies. Sandwiches can be made into salads minus the bread for less carbs and calories. Nice option for delivery outside of pizza and couple Chinese restaurants in Speedway. read more

Called this location yesterday and was told they can't deliver to my house, even though I'm less than 2 miles away. Although ridiculous, I understand corporate has likely given them boundaries for delivery. I tried to be understanding and decided to drive there for lunch today. I ordered my food and went to get a drink. While doing so I noticed the only worker not wearing a mask properly was the young man making my sandwich. I really wouldn't care, however he was hunched over pretty close breathing on ma dang sammich. I wouldn't like that even before covid. I thought about saying something, but realized he was training and they were debating how much mayonnaise was extra mayonnaise (it wasn't enough). I walked back to the register where I could see. Kid still breathing on my sammich, loading way too much lettuce, way too little mayo, and the trainer over his shoulder griping without actually correcting the issues. The loudest jimmy johns I have ever been to. It was slow service and now all of the high school kids who are running JJ's are yelling and laughing - talking loudly about politics that are extremely offensive. I really shouldn't have to hear a 17yr old educate me on his take on what Hillary Clinton has done wrong as a politician. I'm trying to eat my dinner and do case notes. Had a bad experience here last night. Went in around 7pm (they were open until 10pm this night) and there were no other customers in the restaurant. The workers were cleaning, which I thought was fine until I went to the cash register to place my order. I stood there for a while, waiting for someone to come and assist me. I didn't want to be that annoying customer that bothers employees if they're actually really busy, but after seeing half the staff not really doing anything, I approached one of the employees and asked if they had made my sandwich yet, only to be met with several blank stares. I had to retell them what I ordered, and the sandwich was made promptly. My sub was as good as ever, but I left the place rather irritated. Don't buy a party platter. I bought a 45$ platter which turned out to be the center piece of that appetizer table at my son's football awards ceremony. Everyone immediately gravitated towards them. I was able to get one of these measly built sandwiches. Flat, a sprinkle of lettuce and a single slice of meat. They did not resemble any sandwiches on their menu. At least none I've ever bought and I've been eating here to at least 10 years. I talked to the manager and GM and was told that's how they are... For my 50$. The next event I attend and bring a tray. When my Mom passed away in January, I knew I wanted to order a Jimmy John's tray and box of mini-Jimmys to have at the funeral home. I just assumed there would be a location that would deliver there but I was unfortunately wrong. This particular location is close to my sister's home but they don't deliver there either (corporate issues IMHO). However, even though I didn't call in my order until 8:15 p.m. on Saturday and needed to pick it up right when they opened at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday they were spot-on. When I spoke to Ryan Saturday night he was awesome. He helped me pick the sandwiches and assured me they would be ready in the a.m. We pulled up to the door 5 minutes before they opened on an icy frigid morning and to our delight they spied us outside and came right to the door. I went in to check the order (which was perfect), and was greeted by 4 or 5 friendly folks. They even carried everything to the car for me. Thanks to this stellar team for making a difficult day a little better. read more

Ordered lunch at work, MAYBE 5-7 businesses from Jimmy Johns. After 20 minutes of no food, we called and were told that ONE of the drivers had locked his keys in the car and that the food was on it's way. Unfortunate, but understandable. At this it was assumed that the food would arrive shortly and another driver was bringing it. After 15 more minutes of no food we called again and asked to speak to a manager. I let the manager know what had happened. It wasn't so much the fact that it was 20 minutes for fast food we could have walked to get, but that the employee lied, or misled stating that it was in the car and on it's way. The manager said that he just went and got the driver and that he would PERSONALLY bring the food to us. After 40 minutes of waiting for fast food, some poor kid finally brought the food to us, but wanted the receipt signed. I called again, where the manager answered hello, in a rude/annoyed tone, like it was his personal phone. I let him know we would not be paying, since the whole thing behind Jimmy Johns is "freaky fast delivery", and it took 40 minutes. He then said to send his employee back, with the food. This is the second time we have ordered food from this specific Jimmy Johns and had to wait 40+minutes. I have never felt strongly enough to leave a review, but I have also NEVER received such poor service. The manager never once apologized, and we were lied to on every occasion in which we spoke with them. Again, not so much the waiting, I get people are human and mistakes happen, but own up to it and apologize. Also, if you are in the position of a manager, you should be the one who owns it and does what it takes, within reason, to make it right. I don't think, after waiting 40 minutes for two basic sandwiches and a bag of chips, it is unacceptable to ask that you not be charged and be able to eat the food you waited for. He left a voicemail and was very nice and wanted to reach a resolution. I have been very busy lately so have not had the chance to call him back. I received a gift card in the mail today with an apology from the owner and Jimmy Johns. I am thrilled with the customer service. I hate complaining and having to go about it this way but I truly appreciate the immediate response and the time the owner took to resolve the issue.
