We frequently order from here for work events and they food is always on-time, set-up for us, and gets great reviews from the guests. The cookies and brownies especially are a favorite (and the vegetarian options too!). I tagged along with a friend through the drive thru. I'd never been to a McAlister's before and also didn't know one had opened up in Speedway. The area has changed quite a bit! It appeared clean. There was no wait in the drive thru on a Saturday afternoon. The female staff member at the window was efficient and pleasant. I placed an order and it was made wrong. I spoke to a manager about it was supposed to get replaced. So I reordered my food and explained my situation to the Male manager.Told him I thought I was left a VIP card. Manager went in the office and came out saying there wasn't one for me then explain that they get a lot of people trying to get free food at their location so he needed to check into it. I described the other manager to him and I said that I knew he was there that day so he wanted to go check one more time in the office to see if there was a VIP card. This location is huge! In addition to 2 dining rooms and a patio, they also have 2 glasses in rooms you can reserve by contacting the manager. I went inside to order right at 10:30 when they opened in a Thursday. I was the only customer but they still greeted me right away and I got my order quick. Looked like they also had a drive-thru so you have multiple options for ordering. They also had a cute IndyCar display right outside the front door since this location is near the Speedway. I ran over here to grab something to eat while my dog was at the emergency vet. I forget what restaurant was here before but this is very nicely decorated. The girl taking my order was not listening to me at all. I specifically asked for the pick 2 either the club no cheese. She then asked what side. Uhhh you don't get a side. She says oh you wanted the pick 2. My food is done. My iced tea is no where around. I realize I wasn't charged for it. I offer to pay but the person just apologized and gave it to me. Today I stopped to get lunch at this location. The service was fast and the food was tasty. However, the great personality and helpfulness of a staff member made this experience. After going to get my pick up order (after I ate my meal inside), I thanked Phyllis for the great experience and her help, assuming she was the manger. Phyllis was fantastic! She told me that she was a new employee and actually not the manager. This wonderful woman has a leadership demeanor and customer service excellence that the company should celebrate. We like to order from McCalisters... we like their food... and they deliver in our area for lunch -- BUT THEY SCREW UP THE DELIVERY ORDER EVERY TIME. There is really nothing worse than an office full of people... making an order spending more than $100 -- $20 or more of which is their "convenience fee, delivery fee" and then the tip -- and someone doesn't get their food... and the rest of the people eat in front of the others. McCalister's never makes it right by delivering the correct items... they say oh you can bring your receipt in and get your food... or get a credit for another time etc.... All not convenient at all... no refund of the "convenience delivery fees" --- and then there is the one person going hungry or thirsty because they don't want to really eat half of someone else's lunch. You would think for a $100 lunch for 4 or 5 people... it's not filet mignon... they would try to get it right once. Again today... forgot someone's drink and side. Sure wish we had more options in this area... we would definitely kick this location to the curb! read more

We love McAlister's because of their healthy options and we came across this location that's newly built and very clean. They are friendly and quick, too! I like to get the McAlisters club wrap, no mayo though because like I mentioned above we appreciate the healthy options they have and I always get the side of fruit or steamed broccoli. Both are good but the fruit is a slight up charge. My husband loves the sweet chipotle chicken sandwich and he also gets fruit or broccoli. The 2 male managers are so... professional. I just happened to pass by the Speedway area Saturday(11/23) late morning around 11ish. That's when I discovered McAlister's restaurant, and I've been saying for a few years there needs to be a McAlister's in the area. Since, the area has been growing from 2015-2019 Ross, T. J. Max, and Five Below in the area. Well, this McAlister's is bigger than the ones I'm used to going to. The first thing I noticed was that it's very spacious, so far everyone was pleasant, professional, kept coming by the tables checking on customers, and there are plenty of outlets at new restaurant tables. For, lunch I had the same thing as always when I go to McAlister's just spud with their cheddar jack cheese, bacon, sour cream, and butter on the giant spud. It was so delicious, hot & fresh even the last bite was still fresh and hot. Oh! I had one chocolate chip cookie along with the regular lemonade. I must say when the Indy 500 comes back next year it'll bring McAlister's at Speedway location BIG business since it's so spacious, in great booming location, and it's very close to the Indy famous tracks.
