Well I thought I'd give delivery another shot. Disappointed once again. 32 min before my order had left the store, and a total of 55 minutes before it was in my hand. Mind you this location is exactly 1 mile from my work. I'm not always able to leave to go pick up the sandwich on my own, and today was a day like that. They either need more driver's or better driver's. When I worked for a Jimmy John's years ago it was a 15 minute delivery goal. That must not be the case anymore.

Rolled up dirty floor mat dumped on seating so they can mop around you while you eat. Absolutely disgusting!

Another visit with continued crappy service. Unfriendly, workers mopping floors under your table and around your feet while you sit and try to eat amidst ear-splitting rock music. The entire staff looks like they are in rehab and I love how they roll up the floor mat and put them on the bench seats to mop the floors. (See the photo of this disgusting practice). With Jersey Mikes sub shop across the street I see no reason to ever go back here.

The store is right next to a kosher sushi spot which is pretty convenient for those who keep kosher. When I walked in, it was quite crowded with a lot of other Jews ( I am also Jewish) which I always take as a great sign, but the selection was super limited compared to what I am used to and the prices were incredibly high for most normal items. I know there is always a large markup for kosher items, but this was significantly higher than I have seen before and seemed to apply to items which are generally kosher by default like oil and other regular household supplies. Furthermore, a lot of the items have no price tag - especially the freezer section which made me have no idea what I was going to pay until I got up front. I ended up leaving with a box of frozen knishes (7.99) and a refrigerated pair of knishes (4.99). The refrigerated section knishes were delicious, I heated them back up in the oven when I got home and really enjoyed it. Much better than the knish I had at Cecil's. But as a store, the prices are way too high for me to give a higher rating even though it is nice to see a kosher store.

I immediately started to worry. Unfortunately my worries have slowly " come true" ...and with an extremely upset heart, Crossroads has changed. Scott and Stu had dedication and sheer love of cooking and baking with the BEST of ingredients and exquisite rare perfect use of spices. Their flavors in everything they touched were some of the VERY BEST I have experienced nationally and in my home state of NY where my father taught Biochemistry in the Bronx at Einstein Med School (1955-1980) and where my intense passion for Delicatessen cuisine originated. Coming almost daily to Crossroads truly made my day! I adored EVERYTHING they created. Even shipped a large lemon coconut cake to mom's beloved 90 year old boss at Scarsdale Medical Center 8 years ago! Today: Their rye bread with caraway seeds was identical to Grossinger's. Now almost zero flavor. The broasted chicken if served hot fresh out of the cooker is still excellent. Some of the original spices gone. The lemon coconut cake has zero real lemon flavor just deep yellow coloring, Their pastrami and corned beef also lost 1/3 to 1/2 of their original flavor plus the size of the sandwiches 1/3-1/2 the original size. The new main dishes are almost tasteless. Their original recipes for matzo ball soup, etc are still good - - vary 8-10 rating. They no longer use as much/ perhaps any butter in their coffee cake " breads" which used to be a 10. Many cookies and tiny pastries in the same display case are still good. Compared to many other restaurants today they are now just " an ok". Gone are the days when Crossroads Deli was " TRULY SPECTACULAR "......

We've only had lunch here but I hear the breakfast is just as good, especially the hash browns and tomato jam. We've had the Pool and Yacht, Raffi Luigi and the Gigi. Incredible! Their chicken salad is pulled chicken with white and dark meat, herbs and pepperoncini, etc. Really love it. The Giardinera is nice because it's almost blitzed in a food processor so it's smaller and doesn't fly out of the sandwich when you bite into it. They don't overdo the sauces either. Just enough on the sandwiches. The only downfall is that some things can be spicy, especially the potato salad. Like really spicy. So much so it's all you taste. What a perfect time to try it? We entered after taking a picture outside and it was a deli paradise. Lots of beef and pork and they even had pierogies. Looking back, I should have tried a package. Locally made. They have a ton of cheesesteak options, I went with the pastrami for my first foray into PaPa Q's happiness quotient. We walked around the store while my meal was being prepped. They had tons of local hot sauces and salsas and it was all good stuff. About 5 minutes later they gave me a sleeve of sub and it reminded me of when I was a kid and I would go with my dad to TOGO's in California and their awesome subs with avocado on it. Good times. They said I could get a little side salad too, so my wonderful wife suggested the broccoli, bacon and kale salad. It was a total hit. Not to much bacon, but you could tell it was there.
