    Tuna Salad Sandwich
    Abby O.

Friendly service and delicious sandwiches! I tried the tuna and it was so good. All the sandwiches are served on the same baguette style bread which is fantastic and not too tough like a baguette can sometimes be. Look forward to coming back and trying more. Especially breakfast

    Roast Beef Sandwich - wow!

What a spot! It's more than just a meat place, tho you definitely have ample choice of beautiful cuts and sausages made in-house. The sandwiches are delicious and worth going just for those. I had the roast beef sandwich and it was just right with all the right flavors. Service is helpful and friendly. Just love the vibe of this local neighborhood spot.

Normally cannot finish a full sandwich but I finished this one. The meat is flavorful and soft, and didn't really fall apart with every bite.

All sandwiches are $16.50. Pick the meat, selection of 10 toppings, and there you go! Pricey but large and excellent sandwich- baguette is fresh, the mustard and freshly ground horseradish are delicious, and the meat is perfect: flavorful and gorgeous. I chose ham but there was corned beef as well as their usual turkey, beef, and tuna. The staff knew several people by name, and one customer introduced his Dad! I overheard staff saying, "Hello to your family" to a young child picking up their food. Cute friendly neighborhood spot for lunch with delicious food. It's also a meat market and deli so you can purchase sliced meat to bring home as well as a selection of steak, sausage, meatloaf, soups, crackers, pickled vegetables and olives.

Swung by Clancey's again this weekend and opted to dine in! We both enjoyed our sandwiches and my fiancé got another to go!!! They again, were super quick with our food and everything was super fresh. They are pretty busy and fast paced just by observation, so I would suggest to know exactly what you want before you get up to the counter. The dine in environment was very clean, it is also pretty loud in there with the music and general chatter but nothing too bad! We'll be back!

After moving out of MN, Clanceys is one of the things I missed. On my most recent visit, I went to the new location which is open, spacious, and has a great vibe. What had not changed was the great staff and AMAZING Roast Beef sandwich. From the amazing bread, to the flavorful beef, to the fresh veggies - it was the perfection that I remembered! Kudos on the new location, and kudos on remaining true to freshness and flavorful eats! See you on my next trip back

    Happy hour specials!

Excellent quality meat for a no frills, fresh ingredients, turkey club sandwich special. I like frills! Wish there were a few more flavorful additions to the sandwiches to take it up just a notch. Looks like the have some good happy hour deals! Nice outdoor seating options. Got some frozen sausage to try for later too. Would definitely come back to purchase high caliber meats!

Premium butchery with great beouf sandwiches. I heard about this place on Reddit after going down a rabbit hole reading about Wally's. This place is a cute sandwich shoppe et butchery. Parking is available on the street and it's among some other cute shops. The right side has luxury items from Demi glacé to beef cuts. The left side is the sandwich assembly area. You place your order then wait for a pick up. Garlic Roast Beef sandwich. The sandwich is a good size. It definitely has a premium price, but the ingredients match. This is one of the occasions where I think the price point makes sense. The beef is tender and the toppings are fresh. They do go a little zealous on the horseradish, so I would recommend a lite serving. Otherwise the "Everything" topping is fantastic. My personal favorite are the roasted sweet bell peppers. Will put this on a treat your self rotation and will check out some of the cooking items as well.

Great place for sandwiches. I was walking around the neighborhood and saw the sign for breakfast sandwich and decided to give it a try. There were options for a variety a meats for the sandwich and was given a recommendation to go with the bacon. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich. Service was great and it turned out the person who was helping me was the owner. She suggested I give the lunch sandwiches a try if I had time while I was in the area. I came back a couple of days later and had the roast beef sandwich with all the toppings. I'm not normally a horseradish person, but the fresh horseradish worked well. Also a good sandwich. There was a good selection of fresh meats and frozen sausages and other unique items including smoked fish. Got 2 pieces of smoked trout to go.

I am fan of cinnamon roll. When I randomly walked around the neighborhood and discovered the lovely space and saw the cinnamon caramel roll topped with pecans, I couldn't resist. What a pleasant surprise, it's house made, very delicious. The people here are super nice, will come back!

This is mostly a review of the sandwiches. Their new-ish digs? Super cute. Service? Friendly. The sandwiches? AMAZING. So, let's talk about their sandwiches. They're extremely expensive (~$17/each), ridiculously packed, and absolutely fantastic. Are these the best sandwiches in the Twin Cities? I've been in a continuous search for good sandwiches since I moved here 25 years ago, and I'd have to say... yes. Start with reasonably good bread from Patisserie 46. (The Twin Cities is an absolute bread wasteland, but Patisserie 46 is about as decent as it gets.) Add on a ridiculous number of toppings--the with "everything"--that *add to* rather than cancel or subtract from--the deli meat of your choosing. These are not Minnesota-spice sandwiches. Grated fresh horseradish. Pickled jalapeños. Spicy stone ground mustard. Delicious. And... consistent. One of the greatest things about Clancey's sandwiches is they're so carefully assembled that almost every bite gives you the exact same taste. It's not one bite all meat, the next bite, all toppings, etc. They're consistent from end to end. Lovely. This may be a weird way to end, but if you're in the mood for a fizzy drink, I find their sandwiches pair extremely well with cherry sodas. They've changed the kind of sodas they've had available a few times over the years, but there's always been some kind of cherry soda available. I don't know why, but they always seem like the best match for their sandwiches. Regarding the deli and grocery, they have a great selection, although some of the refrigerated case items are nearly double the price for the same item from your neighborhood Kowalski's. But for the meat selection, you can't beat them.

He prepared himself to leave so that I may get assistance. I'm thinking what a wonderful way to start a review. Finer Meats is located right off the intersection of 38th/Nicollet Ave. They're two stores down from Nighthawk's. They have a real fine history. Doug, who is the current owner, is also the grandson of the original owner. He shared how his grandfather became the owner & how this quaint shop, with it's loyal patrons, are still standing after all of these years. You have to stop by to hear this story & to hear how many years they will be celebrating soon! I had a wonderful time chatting with the two ppl there. I didn't buy anything today, but plan to Monday. I have my eyes on some Turkey Tom wings for Thanksgiving. The young lady I chatted with was also quite friendly & shared info on different meats. I think I may shop here going forward for my meats. They offer meat packages in different poundage. There are also a lot cheese options. I didn't get a photo of their selection of smoked meats, but they have an entire case of smoked meats: hammocks, turkey legs & wings, and so much more. Parking may be a merry-go-round, I don't believe they have a lot. However, if you're on the bus, you may catch the 18 or any other Nicollet Ave bus that reaches 38th. Parking option is street parking only. Come check them out! You will not be disappointed.

You ask a question, they've got an answer. Ask another one, now you're learning about cuts you didn't even know existed and suddenly you're standing there reconsidering your entire weekend barbecue strategy like a man staring at religion through a glass display case. That's the problem with this place. You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab some hamburger and maybe a couple steaks," and five minutes later you want to leave with half the damn store. They've got custom sauces, spices, rubs, marinades, meat enhancements, all the stuff that turns a backyard cookout into the kind of meal where people stop talking for a minute after the first bite. I've been to a few butcher shops around the city, but Ready Meats feels different. No gimmicks. No artisanal nonsense. No guy in suspenders trying to sell you parsley foam for nineteen dollars. Just meat. And people who know meat. Which is kinda the whole point, ain't it?

Ever since 2020, the climate surrounding the George Floyd Square has changed dramatically, and this establishment has become an even stronger integral part of the community as the square itself had represented how the community thrives with its people. A lot of respect for the establishment from that perspective. In terms of food, I would say the soul food, which contained mostly sides, were the main highlight for me. The mac & cheese was salty enough. The fries were solid in a "you can't really go wrong with it" type of way. The candied yams had enough sweetness. The collard greens could taste better but standards must be lower when they're not homemade. I also enjoyed the catfish fillets as they were fried to preserve enough hotness and softness. A lot of what they served, they made on the spot, which was what may be causing longer wait for some. Meat-wise, a lot of items could use further improvement because they were too dry, such as the smoked wings and the beef brisket. The wings were dry to the point that they condensed and got extremely salty. The brisket relied a lot on the sauce and the existing fat on the meat for juiciness while the meat itself didn't have a lot of flavor or juice. As for the ribs, they had some seasoning, and tasted just fine, and weren't as dry. But I have had ribs in Texan barbeque places before and knew what "seasoned" ribs were like and therefore concluded that the ribs here were not spectacular. With all that said, however, I still will return here as often as I can because I love supporting this business. The person serving me was very hospitable and patient. I still got some pretty solid barbeque even if it's not Texas. Besides, outside just the barbeque food, the soul food was solid, like I had mentioned above.
