The one thing I did find odd is that any toast that comes with your breakfast actually comes out in a separate basket. Mine arrived about 10 minutes before the rest of my breakfast which was the 2 eggs, sausage and potatoes. For me I would rather have it arrive on my breakfast plate because I am one of those folks that likes to dip their toast in their over-easy egg yolks. Arriving before the rest of your breakfast if you hold onto it awaiting the rest of your breakfast you are using cold toast. Everything still tasted good. But I did leave hungry. I actually sat there for a moment thinking do I need to order something else but how would that look. I am not a huge eater -- and typically have a little bit of something left on my plate when I go out for breakfast but this time not so much. First time I have ever taken myself out for breakfast and came home and had a snack.

For breakfast, I ordered the Payslie's Favorite Eggs Benedict. This meal comes piled pretty high with guac, tomato, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, and is served with a side of their delicious homemade breakfast potatoes. It was very filling and very delicious, and honestly one of the better eggs benedict dishes I've had in recent months! To finish off, we ordered some of their beignets. While they weren't quite as good as real beignets from New Orleans, they were a perfect sweet treat to end an already wonderful meal. 5 stars all around! Highly recommend!

I had the Pistachio latte, the carrot cakes, and a side of loaded hash browns. What I loved most about it was that it wasn't overly sweet like I've found is the case with other nearby breakfast restaurants. The host was very kind to us, and we were helped in a timely manner. I didn't feel hovered, and I didn't feel ignored. Just the perfect amount of service. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. As someone on the spectrum, I always worry about the place being overstimulating when I go out to eat, but instead I was graced with a temper volume with the music, subtle cooking noises under the murmur of people casually chatting. Nothing is better than eating brunch around leafy greenery and a barista aesthetic. I came here for a nice start to my 3 year anniversary, and that's exactly what I experienced. We'll definitely be back soon!

The bar became busy making drinks and it took a little longer for our food order which was okay. What wasn't okay was that there was an off duty worker seated at the bar as well and that person had a single server spend an extended amount of time chit chatting with them while the rest of the workers were visibly stressed and busy. There was a single guest sitting next to me that was being ignored over this conversation. After about 20 minutes of the server coming back and forth to talk with this person the floor manager came up to the server and off duty worker and stated "I don't even want to fucking hear it" with an anxious smile. I'm not sure in what context that was said but I think it's inappropriate to be using that language on the floor surrounded by customers. That did prompt the server to get back to work. It would be nice to see each customer receive that amount of attention that server reserved for their friend to create a new community where even solo customers feel welcomed.

Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).
