This pizzeria use to have such great pizza. What happened?!?! We stopped in for dinner, mid week, excited to get some good pizza and some salad bar. The salad bar is very basic but it's not bad. It's 1 time through for about $9. On the high priced side for a what it is but you're able to see what's offered before you decide to buy. But, we came for pizza... and it was terrible. We chose (2) pepperoni minis, one with white sauce and one with red sauce. Both has hard, bland, unappetizing crust, that looks like preformed crust that toppings are just added to. The toppings were also lower quality than what would be expected on pizzas at their price point. In addition to those we added an order of jojos, thinking they would be the old style hand cut type potatoes. Nope, just some pre-frozen potato wedges, from a bag, for about $10. It's sad the food has crashed so badly because this was such a great place in the past. We'd love to see family style restaurants like this stay in the area. It's a great gathering place, in a great location, with friendly staff, but with food like what's being served here I worry they won't be able to keep people coming back. read more

Pizza is just ok, nothing really stands out as GOOD. That being said, I keep going back because the salad bar is AMAZING. The staff is always great, food is usually pretty quick to come out of it's not slammed. Atmosphere is nice, bathrooms are always clean, games are a nice touch and it feels "home town", but as others have said, wish the pizza was better. read more

The people here are really nice, the service is great, and it's a fun place for kids. Also always great to eat an old school Salad bar. Unfortunately, this is a pizza place, and the main reason you go there is for...pizza. This is where Jimmy O's falls flat. The best way to describe the pizza crust is to say that I thought that they forgot to take the cardboard bottom off the pizza before they cooked it. I guess I'll pile on. This isn't the Jimmy O's of even a few years ago. Something's changed. The crust was overcooked yet still doughy. The toppings (I had the special...the same thing I've ordered since the 90's) were bland. The cheese (I ordered extra) was nowhere to be found. Toppings just slid off the crust. I'm so sad. I've gone back and forth on actually writing this review, and it wasn't easy. For context, I've been coming here with my family from childhood...when it was Papandrea's...so, it's been a regular thing coming in with my parents, and then myself for a very long time. On Tuesday 8/6/24 my mom and I stopped in for dinner; we both ordered the mini-pizza and salad bar; we typically come in once a month to catch up and get a bite to eat. She ordered the ham and pineapple while I ordered the pepperoni with pineapple and ranch as a sauce base. We sat and talked and over our own salads and then finally the pizza's were ready. That's the context. As I finished my own pizza, my mom asked, "How was it?" and I replied that, the first bite from each piece was "good" but as I made my way to the crust, it would progressively get more and more soggy, almost as though the dough wasn't fully cooked. BUT, I shrugged it off because of the grease from the pepperoini and the ranch sauce. No biggie...until she made comment that hers was the same and the pizza wasn't really anything she wanted to finish (about half of the mini pizza was remaining). So, having been in customer service for a very long time, I decided to go up to the counter and mention it. So, a young lady with dark orange hair pulled into a tight bun was who I spoke with initally...they were pleasant and nice and asked what the issue was. I told them about the pizza and how mine was and that I wasn't even going to say anything but my mom mentioned the same thing about her own pizza nd didn't want to finish it. The worker asked me to wait a moment and they brought over TYLOR (spelling ?) and asked for a recap of the issue. I told Tylor the same thing I told the other person, who was standing there also; Tylor listened and then asked if there was anything they could do to fix the issue. I told Tylor that I just wanted to mention it and let someone know; I'd already finished my mini-pizza and my mom's was half eaten and that she'd throw it into the toaster oven the next day to finish cooking. Tylor apologized profusely and mentioned, "There have been issues with the dough all day," and apologized again. I told them that I understood and reiterated that I just wanted to "bring it to someone's attention" and that I wasn't going to make a big deal about it, and I began walking away - no harm, no foul. Tylor asked for me to wait as they would see if they could do something for me and they went into the kitchen, spoke with someone, and returned. offering to either have two NEW pizzas cooked or just refund the money. I expressd that I didn't need either, but they ofered again, so, I took the offer to return my money. Tylor refunded the entire amount of the meal...I said "thanks" and wen't back to sit with my mother and continue chatting before leaving. Here's where the turn comes in... About 20 minutes later, an employee came over (Dark patchy beard...I think he was the cook) and asked for a recounting of the issue. I regaled him with what happened and the conversation and outcome with Tylor. The entire time he was dismissive. He asked if the foil wrap on the table was the remaining pieces. I replied "Yes; she's just going to take them home and throw them into the toaster oven tomorrow for lunch" He then asked, "Can I see it?" I didn't think anything of it so I opened the foil...HE THEN TOUCHED THE PIZZA WITH HIS HANDS...I'm assuming to check if the crust was as dough-y as I mentioned. His hands DID NOT HAVE GLOVES ON. He then mentioned that Tylor should NOT have refunded for the meal, and said, "We don't do that here". He then left. I was surprised, and asked as he walked away, "Is there some kind of problem?" to which he replied, "No," and kept walking away without looking at me. If Tylor shouldn't have offered to either refund or cook new pizzas, then that should be a training issue for the front of house management. If Tylor wasn't allowed to make that kind of decision, then a MOD should have come out after they went in the back to talk to someone about the matter. And NO EMPLOYEE should EVER touch a patron's food with their bare hands! That's a straight up violation in the food industry. I don't think we'll be back for a very long time, if ever. Which is sad because it's been our "go-to" pizza place since I was a kid. read more

We got three different pizzas to go from Jimmy O's, and while the toppings were plentiful and all of high quality, each pizza suffered from WAY TOO MUCH CRUST. Now, the crusts of all the pizzas *were* cooked all the way thru, which is impressive considering how ridiculously thick they were; but did I mention the thick, bready crust? As I said, the toppings were great -- the sauce was definitely tomato-y, though lightly seasoned; and the pepperoni was good and spicy. But I don't remember much about the cheese, and that thick crust was quite bland. Review after review states the same thing, because it's true. Jimmy O, you really need to offer a thin crust option, or come up with a standard crust of reasonable thickness. Still, it's pizza, which is better than no pizza -- so 3 stars. read more

Be sure and order early even in the middle of the day. It did come in the time promised (40-50 minutes) but the pizzas were barely warm when they arrived. My pizza on regular crust was fine but the gluten free pizzas were terrible. My sister thought they had the best GF pizza crust she had ever eaten so she was extremely disappointed when this new crust looked burnt and ended up being chewy and rubbery. When she called to say they were both burnt she was told that's how the GF crusts were - "they cook darker. Sorry about that." When we asked what are options were we were just told "Sorry about that" again. No offer to replace, discount or refund. Just lost our business. read more

I don't know what happened to the pizza. Years ago, it was really really good. Just had a little get together a couple days ago, and the pizza was not good. At all. The crust just tasted like bland cardboard. It was awful. And the sausage was tasteless, totally bland. No seasoning to it at all. For the expensive prices they ask for their pies, you're better off just going to Dominoes or Pizza Hut. It's bad when my dog don't want to eat the crusts that I brought home for her. Salad bar is pretty good though. Lots of choices. It's a good place to gather for parties or get togethers, but their pies need a complete makeover. read more

Sorry to say we took a couple of friends to dinner here last night. The salad bar was about a 7/10 but the sandwich (French dip) was about a 5/10. The pizza, which was 38 bucks was absolutely without any flavor whatsoever. I was ashamed to have hosted this mess, but no worries- it won't ever happen again. Tried this recently as we've lived in the area for years and heard it was good. We were very disappointed. The pizza is expensive, more expensive than any other in the area. And it is way too bready. The crust ruins the pizza. It's tasteless and too much of it. For $100+ I was really expecting to be wowed. Even our 10 year old didn't like her cheese pizza and she loves everything pizza and isn't usually picky. Salad bar was good. Place is clean and well stocked. Lots of seating. Service was friendly and the little arcade part was fun for my kiddo but otherwise it was not great food and we won't be back. Far superior pizza around for less $. First, I want to say the staff was very nice and polite. However, the pizza was not good. The pizza took over 45 minutes before they called our number and had nearly no sauce on it. The middle had no sauce and only the edges had some. We asked the manager about it, and he seemed a little bothered by it. He did offer to make us a new pizza, but we didn't have the time to wait another 45 minutes. There was no apology or offer to discount it. Don't think we will be going back. read more

awful customer service. arrived unknowingly just before close and attempted to purchase a beer when our food arrived. Was told we were unable to order any alcohol after closing, even though we had just received our food. The manager offered a beer but then insulted us by saying it was our fault that we didn't see the posted our sign which is in the upper right hand corner of the door ( no where anyone posts hours) and we were lucky we were even served. If you didn't intend on serving us for the entirety of our visit, then you should've just told us that you couldn't serve us when we walked in. I would've never assumed that a pizzeria closes at 8 PM in the summertime and since they have such a early and uncommon closing time a customer service tip would be to let your patrons know when they're ordering 16 minutes before you close that you are closing at eight so if they want anything else to get it upon their initial order. I am flabbergasted at the way we were treated, and how the manager made this problem our fault. It's not the customers responsibility to know the rules of your business. As a Paton of your business people deserve to be treated better. read more

Jimmy O's has been around for decades proving quality food and atmosphere to the people of Oregon City. Formerly known as Papandrea's Pizza - they have been winning awards foe their pizza since the mid 80's, maybe even earlier but I am not sure as I moved to the O.C. in 87. Great food, great family service and a fun little arcade. The pizza is top notch all around, full of toppings with a very flavorful cheese blend, amazing sauce and some tasty crust. The salad bar is grade A as well for those not wanting the carb overload that goes along with a yummy pizza. You cannot go wrong with a visit to Jimmy O's! Give it a shot and enjoy. read more

It's All Family Vibes Here! If you're Oregon OC......you know Jimmy O's. Your soccer team celebrated here, your "Friday Night Lights" fun ended here, and your family happily held many Birthday parties at these tables. For Oak Grovers like myself......we had our own JImmy O's..........but on this first visit I felt like a kid again. I came here with my volunteer group for a meeting and we could not have picked a better place. Warm friendly atmosphere, the employees are all smiles, and they seem like one big happy family. Their pizza is good.......not quite my personal favorite kind of crust, but not enough to keep me away. They use a thick and doughy........almost focaccia like crust which holds the cheesy goodness well..........I just prefer a thinner crispier crust or one with cornmeal. JImmy's isn't doing anything wrong and I highly recommend bringing someone here. It's a great place. Even my personal sized pie with spinach, artichokes, and feta was just fine overall. House made dough and sauce and cheese that's freshly grated makes it all work! It's super clean, super fun, and super friendly here. Great for groups, business functions, or even a date. Here they still serve soda pop in a pitcher, offer the old school salad bar before kale was invented, and they have a delicious menu with various sandwiches, grinders, salads, pasta, and they'll even make a massive nacho if your so inclined! Very kid friendly with special menus as well. If you're in the OC Oregon style..............stop in to Jimmy's. We have been getting takeout from Jimmy O's for several years. First off, we always receive friendly service. Secondly, over these several years they have never once delivered a wrong order. The pizza has a crisp, lightly cornmeal dusted crust. The toppings are abundant, handfuls toppings in fact. You never need to order extra cheese, they put plenty on. The pizzas are expensive, but you will not feel that you did not get your moneys worth. Their toppings are delicious. They do not use canned mushrooms which is nice. There is something special about their sauce, nice and rich with lots of spice. I know they have a in house salad bar which has over a dozen add-ins. They will prepare a salad for delivery for you. I always order the Ceasar Salad. It is large with huge pieces of dark green romaine (no lettuce cores), lemon, parmesan, and a creamy dressing. They put a lot on so I do order it on the side. They have popcorn chicken which they dole out by the scoop. Their mozzarella sticks are battered, not breaded. The wings are meaty with a classic Franks Red Hot sauce. We have liked everything we have tried. Jimmy O's is our first choice for pizza in Oregon City. The toppings are piled on so high that I feel one large pizza can feed four. We've ordered from here a few times and we've ate there at the restaurant as well..the pizza is OK it's just so expensive. They know this..they're people too and they buy pizza..they know what they like to pay and what they don't like to pay..however I'm sure they don't even buy their own pizza. Many complaints have been said regarding their prices and what you get for your money. They haven't fixed it. I don't mind spending $28 for a large pizza IF it's a NY style wood fired pizza with luxe and/or natural ingredients.
