And both salads seemed to have the dressings tossed into them rather than drizzled on the top. Because of this dressing technique, every bite had equal amounts of dressing! Food- we did the panini chick & pesto- it's actually amazing! The pesto is mixed with the chicken so it's pretty flavorful. The panini is crisp and chewy which is a nice balance! The meatballs are alright- it wouldn't be something I order again- it just wasn't my flavor. We ordered the mushroom pizza- it was decent but it's missing a balance between crisp and chewy. The pizza middle was soft texture so your pizza appears and feels not super soggy but enough to not be able to fold pizza. Service- is decent. This is an establishment where your server checks on you quite a bit. So when my friend and I were talking about this we figured it was best they're attentive to your needs then not. Ambiance- it's a cute little end location. Enough seating. It was pretty busy when we arrived. We were there at sound 1:10 PM on a Sunday and while there' there was about 4 different groups. We called ahead to ask about bringing a group of seven. We were told they don't take reservations, but that seven people would "not be a problem" and that we could just come in. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be about 20-30 minutes, which was completely fine with us. The frustrating part came shortly after. Another family walked in with roughly the same number of people and was seated immediately, while we continued waiting. When we politely asked about this, the staff gave different explanations each time and were quite rude in the process. If there was a legitimate reason, we would have understood. But the inconsistent stories and dismissive attitude made the situation much worse than the wait itself. Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling like we were treated unfairly, and it's not somewhere we plan to return. read more

With a recent lunch visit to Mi Famiglia, it's time to write an update. I'm happy to report that this visit ranks among the best we have ever had. We were there right after opening, and were given a primo spot in the little brick alcove area with the church pews -- it's such a cozy spot. Our service was friendly and efficient, even as the restaurant filled up with lunch patrons. Throughout the ~15 years that we've been coming to Mi Famiglia, I had never ordered the Margherita pizza, so I decided to give it a try -- it was was probably the best prepared pizza we've had yet. The crust was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of natural charring from the wood oven; and the perfect hint of smoke -- it had just the right amount of crispness on the edges, with nice chew to it. The toppings were all fresh and delicious, as well. This visit was so good, that I'm really craving another visit for dinner so that I can get their excellent Caesar Salad (with anchovies!). I definitely don't want to wait as long to come back as I did last time! read more

Service was spotty or terrible The food is decent here but not exceptional. Actually Oregon City has multiple other places with very good food, ambiance and service. It was so hot when we went to this place last Saturday and I was told to imagine what the pizza chefs were feeling next to a 900 f degree oven. Then told they couldn't open the doors (flies would come in) couldn't turn the ceiling fans on and couldn't turn the AC up. So we sat hot and uncomfortable eating our food. No question but what Mi Familia makes the best pizza that I've had within driving distance. If I could've managed to order one tonight 10/20/25 i'm sure it would've been superb. They were not busy. There were three empty tables. Our party of two is seated at the bar. The bartender managed to get us water, but couldn't manage to even ask us if we wanted a drink in the three times she looked at us with our menus closed and sitting on the edge of the bar, where if she walked anywhere near she would've knocked them onto the floor. she looked rather lost as if she didn't know what to do. Perhaps she needs training and this is the owner manager's fault. Instead of looking at us with that deer in the headlights look she could've asked us if we wanted to drink or wanted to order food. It's a fairly simple process. I've been through it as a customer many times. after 15 minutes of being looked at, but not helped by the bartender whose bar we were seated at we gave up and left as it was clear that the situation was not going to change anytime soon. Ranch Pizza is right down the street and only takes 30 minutes and it's almost as good. We'll try that. read more

Solid spot. Excellent pizza! Really well charred and presented on a wire rack to keep integrity of pizza from getting soggy. Although we didn't order salads those looked amazing. However...what they call a Muffulatta is NOT a true Muffuletta... First off it is never served hot like they did here. It's supposed to be cold. Truly odd Second you're supposed to layer the meats and the cheeses with an olive tapenade spread. This one did not have that at all and put just a few greens and pepperoncinis on the side. Flavor was thin and meat to bread ratio seemed chintzy. Third focaccia is way too thick and never used on a traditional muffaletta. It should be a crusty Italian loaf possibly with sesame seeds. So a big deduction for that With this said service was solid and prices fair. It's worth going for the pizza! read more

My wife and I went here recently on a double date. We each got a Caesar salad and we split the holy trinity calzone. The service was good and the food came out surprisingly fast! The salads were good and the calzone was as well. The plating for the calzone was a bit awkward though; they put it on a flat plate and it was difficult to cut without pushing the marinara sauce off the plate and on to the table. Our friends ordered the bread plate appetizer and raved about it. They begged us to try it, and I see some other reviews mentioning it as well. I have to say, I don't get it lol. It was just toasted bread with marinara and some type of garlic dipping sauce that was okay, but nothing to get excited about in my opinion. We randomly came here on a Sunday night while out for a drive and glad we got there as early as we did, because the place filled up quickly and soon had a wait -- and I can see why it's so popular. This was probably some of the best wood-oven pizza that I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of chew and char on the crust, with super flavorful sauce and toppings. They have a fun list of lots of ingredients and don't skip the pineapple habanero jam (though I wish it was just a bit spicier). Their draft beer selection is nice and isn't just a bunch of boring domestics and IPAs, but they actually have a good variety, and the same goes for their winelist. I don't think we're coming back. We'd been several times since with each experience being slightly more underwhelming. Service a little slower food a little weaker. But this time was the last time. I don't know much about running a restaurant while taking online orders. I'm sure it's hard. I was told by the system my order would be ready at 540. I arrived at 540 and left with my food at 620. It wasn't super busy in the restaurant and really there was only one online order ahead of me. I don't understand. I feel the need to update because there is no way this is the same product I gave five stars to years ago. The crust is laughably thin, but not like a cracker. Wish we tried this spot, but TBH they were simply not ready to provide decent Service or an atmosphere for me and my family. Came highly recommended from a colleague, we had to put it on our family list of restaurants to try. So, we drove more than 20 minutes to the Oregon City location as a homage to my wife's summer end....she works at a Clackamas elementary school and she returns to work tomorrow. We were greeted right away and hostess was visibly sweating on her forehead. We were told 10 to 15min....no problem. We sat on a bench to the left, directly in front of the bar. My wife asked the bartender where the restrooms were located and the bartender was rude to her....something like "what do you want" and when looking at her... you could see some of her front teeth were rotted. Between the sweat, the attitude and the rotten teeth......we rolled. Would rather not spend 100 plus bones in an establishment that does not value service or hygiene. We came in quite by accident but so happy we discovered this special place. We had a larger party (8) and we arrived at the right time because they were able to accommodate us quite well before droves of other parties started filing on. Server was attentive, kind and hooked our kids up with Shirley temples while we enjoyed a couple classes of well priced Pinot and Chianti. My wife and I shared the Pear Gorgonzola salad with candied walnuts in addition to the prosciutto and fig pizza. The pizza here is really good! It's also quite expensive. For just the two of us, each getting our own pizza, plus drinks, added up to about $50 plus tip. This cute pizza diner is tucked in on the corner of downtown Oregon City. If you're not looking for it you'll completely miss it. Even when we were looking for it we actually missed it too! It a charming little place with a homey feel. He staff is average friendly and they do come around occasionally to check on drink refills. We've been here twice now. On this trip we ordered the Margherita pizza with added pepperoni and the Kyles Favorite pizza. They were delicious! We love the crispy, wood fired, crust and the toppings are so yummy! They also have daily soups. We ordered a cup of their French onion and it was amazing! They topped it with cheese and popped it in the oven to make it a melty bowl of deliciousn The build your own pizzas can get very expensive, even our server pointed this out while we were trying to make decisions. It's much cheaper to find a pizza from their list and modify it than to pick toppings from the BYO menu. They have a nice selection of beers and a full bar. There's are a selection of sodas and more to choose from. Parking can be a little intimidating in the area but if you're patient you'll definitely find a space close by. Trying their pizza is worth the search for parking and a short walk over. We'll be back to try the calzones next time! read more

I recently visited for lunch with a friend who had given high praise for their pizza. After looking at the menu I decided on a Caesar salad and steamed clams. My friend ordered a pizza with pear and garden mix on top. After quite a wait my salad was served first but lacked dressing and croutons and was freshly made but not cold. My clams were delivered with my friends pizza but neither were remotely warm. The broth of the clams was excellent but the focaccia bread that came with it was super dry and cold. Neither of us were offered refills and had to keep trying to flag down a server to get extra ice tea for me and wine for my friend. I understand restaurants are short staffed but if the food cannot be delivered at optimum temperature perhaps remove some of the 20 tables so it is not as busy and food is delivered hot or cold. read more
